How to pass parameters to a page invoked using java script.--- Very Urgent.

Hello,
I have an advanced Table in my page. In the first column there is a
messageChoice. In the second column there is link item.On the link item i have set the following value for destination uri.

The user selects a value from the message choice and when he clicks on the link item, the value selected from the list should go to the new page invoked using java script as a parameter. I need the value selected from choice to generates few fields in the new page. I have preferred java script because i need the base page and a model window should open. I have tried using setForwardUrl() and setting '_blank' and new window for target frame property on the link item. But it isnt working. The new page is opening in the same window.
I have also tried putting the value in a session.
Please help with any kind of suggestions or solutions.

You need to
- Have a PPR Action on the messageChoice (this would trigger a form submit to populate the underlying View Attribute)
- Either
- Retrive the value from the View Attribute in the pop-up page (as I could see that you are retaining the AM)
- Use a SPEL in the link (on the modal page) to use the value from the View Attribute as the parameter value (in the form ${oa.current.<ViewAttributeName>)

     From your doubt, what I understand is that, You have designed a header in Master Page. You need to fill this header using the Item table which is already designed in the design view(body page). Means you want to fill the Item details(which are in body page) into the header(which is in the master page).
To read the contents from body page into master page, you need to write Javascript code on the header fields(which is in the master page) in the Layout Ready Event.
For example, if you want to fill the field Order_description in header(master page) from the column Order_Description which is in the Item table(body page)
In the form layout, select the order_description field and in the event READY LAYOUT write the below JavaScript code.
var currpage = xfa.layout.page(this);------> Get the current page
var fields = 0;------> Variable to store the number of fields in that page.
fields = xfa.layout.pageContent(currpage-1, "field", 0); ------> Get the number of fields
for ( i=0; i<= fields.length-1; i++ ) ------> Loop on each field on the page
    if ( fields.name == "ORDER_DESCRIPTION" ) ------> Check if the corresponding field is in the Item table
         this.rawValue = fields.item(i).rawValue; ------> Assign that value in the Header field
Repeat the same steps for other fields in the Header. This will work for all Purchase Orders spanned across multiple pages.

I want to do an XSL Transform on data.xml, using style.xsl, with parameter

With Saxon you would do:

But how would I do this with WL6.x, using the JSP XSLT tag:

There is currently no way to do this from the jsp xslt tag. I have filed an
issue because this is available in the JAXP 1.1 API. If you need this
functionality in the current version you will need to use the JAXP API
directly.

How to add data in datatable by popup using java script?

Hi
I have a datatable in my jsp page. Onclick of button i am opening a popup window. On the popup window I am haveing list of data. I want to select data by checking the checkbox and the selected data need to be populated on the datatable. I am not getting any clue to proceed.
Can anyone suggest me any solution for this. Its very urgent.

The following article might provide new insights: [Using datatables|http://balusc.blogspot.com/2006/06/using-datatables.html]. Checkout the chapter titled "Select multiple rows". Make use of this knowledge to select specific rows in the popup and gather them all in the bean.
Additional note: don't use Javascript to read/add/save data. It's pointless. Only use JS to open the popup window pointing to a JSF page with the datatable inside.

Where you want remove the page number? If you delete the page number in the first page of the document, that is no way to do. Becasue, first you have to try manually remove the page number 1st page of pages panel, its shown the error "Invalid entry".

I need to transfer a file to server which support FTPS protocol. I am using lftp utility for this purpose. User credentials used to establish the connection expires after a period(eg: 45 days/3 months) . Can anyone guide me with me an approach to use the password in the shell script which transfer the file to the remote server other than hard coding the password in the script.

SSH is a better option but unfortunately it's not always available. If you worry about security, you could use the bookmark lftp feature:
$ lftp ftp://username@server
Password:
lftp username@server:~> set bmk:save-passwords true
lftp username@server:~> bookmark add yourserver
lftp username@server:~> bookmark list
lftp username@server:~> quit
$ lftp yourserver &
$ ps -aux | grep lftp
The password is stored in ~/.lftp/bookmarks (not encrypted) but you can protect the file with the right permissions as you would do with your certificates with SSH.

But when deployed is not working.

I have my function defined and registered. In the definition under "Web HTML" tab, I have my pl/sql procedure call under "HTML Call". Where do the parameters go?
On the customization of form POXPOEPO, I am using Builtin - Launch a function. I want to pass the po_header_id, so under "Parameters", I did "Insert Item Value" of :PO_HEADERS.PO_HEADER_ID
My custom HMTL page is popping up, but the parameter is not being passed. Is there something in the Function Definition where I can define the incoming paramaters?

The requirement is on the main page there are 6 fields out of which 4 are read-only and are taken from the database and 1 is taken from database, but can be edited, and the 6th one is completly editable for the user. I am trying to pass these parameters using setForwardURL, and on the second page (Preview page, where all these fields are read-only), I am able to retrieve these parameters using pageContext.getParameters() and am able to display it as an exception but I am not able to set these into the fields using pageContext.putParameters().

hi,
iam opening my first.jsp in browser.
it contains a button called click .if we click on this button it opens a new popup window with another jsp page..it have one text box.where user enter a value.and clicks on submitt..when i click the submit button iam closing the popup window..with window.close().
then the window is closing..now what i want is the value which i entered in poupup window ,i want to retreive this value in another jsp page..how can i get that value..

thatz very simple.
try using one of the following.
1.use java script but as he said it wont b sent to the server.
2.otherwise use cookies to store and retrive that value.
3.this one is simple,u dont need a popup jsp page,instead use a inputbox simply.LOL
