How to pass TCP connection ID into subpanel VI

Hi,
I am trying to pass a TCP connection ID into a subpanel VI, but wasn't successful.
Here's the function I used:
I was able to pass other control values into the VI but not the TCP conn ID.
Is there any restrictions or other ways I should do it?

Hi Ken,
Is 'reference' a TCP connection ID? If so, wire the reference directly to the Ctrl Val.Set invoke node. No value property of the reference needed.
It definitely works with TCP connection IDs.

obviously "System.out.println(myValue)" will not work because myValue is seen as a java variable and not a JavaScript variable.
I would like to know how to let the jsp file, that I wrote in the above code, see myValue as a JavaScript variable and not a java variable so that I can pass it to a java method.
NOTE: the java method does not have to be a println() method, it can be any method of my choice.

I don't believe you can. JSPs are really just elaborate templates that an engine such as Tomcat parses and generates an HTML page based on. That page is then displayed to the user. By the time you want to use some function in Javascript, the JSP has already been parsed and generated.
Basically, Javascript and JSPs can't talk to each other. One's server-side and the other is client-side.

How to pass in a parameter into a report viewer on a jsp - and hidden

Hi, I've built a php application and am using the java environment to enable the crystal report/viewer. The developer was looking how to pass in a parameter into a report viewer on a jsp. Ultimately the end product we need is to get an HTML report viewer loading a report file with hidden parameters so to not expose other customer data (it's a shared database for multiple customers) preferably loaded from php using maybe the php java bridge. Would anyone happen to have any sample code or any guidance?

I am not aware of any html tags you can pass to the viewer for parameter values. Normally, you would load the report in code and then use the SDK with the report object to pass parameter values.

Yeah I got the pop up asking to select the variables used, I have selected ENTITY_ID that was used by the interfaces, but on execution of the package the Scenario did not work as the passeed variable #ENTITY_ID is set to 0 instead of the value I am passing.
Am I missing something?

How to set TCP connection timeout in solaris 9

I am new to solaris. While using oracle, sometimes I face tcp connection timeout.
The timeout happens after a long delay like more than 8 min. I want to reduce the tcp connection timeout to 2 min in solaris.
Please help me to change this setting.
My current configuration is

There's a fair amount of tunables. Without known what is timing out (dns, lost packet...), it's hard to say what you want to tweak. The list of parameters can be seen by using ndd:
ndd /dev/tcp \?
or
ndd /dev/ip \?
and can be set by using ndd -set (see ndd(1M) ). Note that anything you set has to be reset on reboot, so you have to stick this in a script somewhere, or know what the variable translates to to stick it into /etc/system.

Hi All,
I created a workflow to send notification to user with the details in the message body of the workflow.
Attached the same workflow to the subscription created under the seeded Business event 'oracle.apps.fnd.concurrent.request.completed'.
Enabled the Business event for the concurrent program 'XXTEST' for 'request completed.'
Workflow flow is: Event>FUNCTION>Notification>END.
In my workflow there are 4 attributes, 1 attribute is input (request id) for the function(procedure) attached in the workflow, based on that 1 input attribute (request id) the rest of 3 attributes are derived.
Presently I have given constant value for the Attribute (request id) under its properties. I need to pass it dynamically as soon as the conc request is submitted.
As I said its working perfectly, i.e., user (EG_AFZAL) receives notification after conc request is completed.
Kindly suggest how to pass request id in the workflow.

I have created an Interface that uses the variable #ENTITY_ID for retrieving entity data from the DWH; now I have generated a Scenario from the interface and placed the Scenario in an ODI Package; am not sure how to pass the #ENTITY_ID variable to the ODI Scenario?

I need to Pass data records to Function Module
MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE for Creating Outbound IDOCs
I am Collecting all the Data Records and Passing into the Structure EDIDC.
Here my problem is
For one Route there are Multiple Customer records.
so my First Parent Segment is ZROUTE
i am passing the Datarecord for this Segment.
and for the Customer Segment , I have 5 Customers,
so i am passing the 5 Data records to SDATA .
Loop at gt_route into gw_route.
Pass the Route data into the Data record SDATA
gw_idocdata-sdata    = gw_route_header.
gw_idocdata-segnam = lc_route_header.
gw_idocdata-hlevel = lc_4.
APPEND gw_idocdata TO gt_idocdata.
CLEAR : gw_route_header, gw_idocdata.
Loop at gt_customer into gw_customer
                               where anlage = gw_route-anlage.
Pass the Customer data into the Data record SDATA
gw_idocdata-sdata = gw_customer.
gw_idocdata-segnam = lc_customer.
gw_idocdata-hlevel = lc_5.
APPEND gw_idocdata TO gt_idocdata.
CLEAR : gw_customer, gw_idocdata.
ENDLOOP
ENDLOOP.
So this customer segment is comming 5 times in my IDOC
Can any one suggest me whether i am going in correct way or not.
I am Getting the IDOC status 26.

I think it is because the IDOC is not yet SET RELEASE.

First of all EDIDC is the control record, EDID4 is the data record. When collecting customer record into idoc_data you need to insert customer's parent segment number.
Eg.
route1, segnum 1.
   child 1, segnum 2 and parent segnum = 1
   child 2, segnum 3 and parent segnum = 1
   child 3, segnum 4 and parent segnum = 1
route 2, segnum 5
   child 1, segnum 6 and parent segnum = 5
   child 2, segnum 7 and parent segnum = 5
   child 3, segnum 8 and parent segnum = 5

How to pass Java signed byte into VB6 unsigned program

Hello everyone
I need to build a client in Java to talk to a VB6 server. I am the point to pass the encrypt username and password into the server. The VB6 code for the encryption is
Crypt = Crypt & Chr(Asc(Mid$(Text, Len(Text) - X + 1, 1)) Xor &HA3)
My Java code is
cryptOutput = cryptOutput + ((char)(((int) input.charAt(i)) ^ ((byte)0xa3)));
The server doesn't seem to understand my username and password. I highly suspect the reason being that Java byte is signed and VB6 is unsigned.
How could I overcome this problem? I did some research and things like &0xFF didnt help...

A bit more information about my problem
The server uses Crypt function to encode or decode all the strings sent or received

What I need to to make the same encode/decode function on my client side to be exactly the same as the server side. My java code for it is

I can already pass un-encrypt data (i.e string like "hello") successfully between the client and the server. But with encrypt data, I have no success :(
I really think it's because of the byte differences between Java and VB6. Please point out my error :)

I create a table and show it in the SSRS by table

CC1, E
And set one parameter EmID for the user to filter the record and that Parameter Accept multiple values and the type is text.
And I create a another table for the data-driven subscription to send the report to user by email.
EmailTitle EmID EmailComment
TestEmail AA1,BB1,CC1   TestComment
And I set the subscription and set the EmID parameter is from EmID column, then test the subscription, it failed...
However, when I only put AA1 into the table, then the subscription works well

TestEmail AA1    TestComment
So How I can config the above table to support subscription?

When specify a column for the parameter value in a data-driven subscription, it will be regarded as a single value. So when specify the value "AA1,BB1,CC1" as the parameter value, the subscription will fail.
The work around for this issue clear the "Allow multiple values" for the report parameter, and then change the filter
From
Expression:[ParameterName]
Operator   :In
Value         :[@ParameterName]
To
Expression:[ParameterName]
Operator   :In
Value         :Split(Parameters!ParameterName.Value,",")
In this case, we can specify a value like "AA1,BB1,CC1" from database to the data-driven subscription. I have tested it on my local host environment, it works fine.
