I have a wonderful web site using Contribute 2. In what I
thought was an unrelated issue, I have been trying to get emails I
sent using AOL to my desktop or website so I can burn them on a CD.
The issue is that these are a series of 12 long letters, each with
from 10 to 34 images embedded in the letter. As of now, because AOL
does not have a rich text extension for saving letters, I am not
able to copy and paste the letters onto my website or to my
desktop. The text gets separated from the pictures into two
separate files. The original letters are stored on AOL but I cannot
get them anywhere intact except as emails. I was hoping I could
open a page on my website just to download the letters and access
them though a web address.
Can this be done? My try resulted in my pasting only the
text. Can you help? I am not technically sophisticated, so please
be kind.

This is smartform, and sending the output as pdf, except the the first page on which I have the text to be printed on the email body. In this email body text I have to display an email.
when user clicks on the email should open an outlook with the email id in the TO. Hope this helps.

How can I merge my adobe account with my wife's account.

How can I merge my adobe account with my wife's account. I had been using lightroom since 2011 up to version 4. I wanted to upgrade to version 5 and decided to just go with the Photographers package and I signed up for that. Now I have a conflict since we already have my wife's Creative suite 6 master collection on our PC and when I went to install LR and PS it made me install the Creative Cloud installer. It automatically link to my wife's account so it wont allow me to install LR since that isnt part of the Master Collection. Can I merge these 2 accounts in some way or can I log out of the Creative Clound under her name and log in under mine? I 'm guess I can't just log back and forth and I didn't want to try and mess it up even more.

If you want to embed videos in your muse site, without using a service like youtube or vimeo, then you will need to manually upload the video files on the server and use them via the video tag available in html5, HTML5 Video
To insert the video tags in your muse pages, you will need to use the 'Object -> Insert HTML' option.

How to make a Website in Muse with a Login Forum

I need to build a website for a client in Muse which has access to a Login Forum, so that users can login to a secure site and upload messages and images/video. I have never done this before, but I'm quite experienced in other aspects of Web Design and in Adobe Muse. I'm guessing I will have to use Business Catalyst to do this and intend to host the site on BC. I need to know if this can be done using just Web Basics, or if I have to upgrade to Web Basics+, or higher? Does anyone know of any tutorials, or other help on this subject?
This is not going to be an eCommerce site, I just really need to have the function of a secure web forum with a few other standard pages, HOME, ABOUT etc

Yes, you are right. You can achieve this if you host your site on Business Catalyst. This feature is not included in webBasics+ plan. You need at least webmarketing plan to use the Forums feature. As Syrax12 pointed out, Parallax Scrolling has moved from the Effects panel to the Scroll Effects panel. Some of the videos from June 2013 refer to the old location under the Effects panel.

Can I update Adobe Muse with RUM?

I have tried adding channelIds=AdobeMuse to the command line parameter with no success and obviously the normal RUM utility does not update it either. Any help on how i can keep this application up to date would be greatly appreciated.
Here are just some side thoughts
Adobe Muse strongly relies on Adobe Air so that would have to be updated as well... Also user intervention and installation is not allowed in our environments so this will all have to be able to be done with the RUM utility or command line. Does anyone know of any other applications that are exempt from the RUM utility?

I am sorry but there are few applications which cannot be updated using RUM. Acrobat, Lightroom and Muse can only be updated from the applications itself. I hope it answers your query.

How do subdirectories work in adobe muse?

I created a subdirectory for my site for 2 reasons: 1 seo 2 my site is getting too big to keep on a single muse file. The muse program begins to slow way down with larger sites.
I dont want to put the site on a subdomain (for seo and other reasons) so it's currently at:
http://www.j-26.com/adobe-muse-widgets/ecommerce/
Everything with the site seems to be fine but everytime i go to upload the site, I get a message saying, "Folder "adobe-muse-widgets/ecommerce/" does not appear to point to site "www.j-26.com"
I then hit ignore and it proceeds as normal. But that warning message is sketching me out so I want to see if anyone knew if there was something that I needed to do with the DNS records or something.

You've only entered the domain name in the "Site URL" field. If the site is going to be in that subdirectory, then the correct Site URL would be "www.j-26.com/adobe-muse-widgets/ecommerce".

I need to put a barcode in my form with the human readable text right under it and more importantly,irrespective of the number of digits of the text number, it needs to be space out exactly equal to the barcode length.can anyone please help with text formatting here? And what if the barcode might change in future? Something like below:

For sapscripts and smart forms (what is your techno?), SAP allows you only to print barcodes (bars), not the texts corresponding to these barcodes, so you will have to implement a custom solution.
As SAP doesn't provide you the actual width of the generated barcode, you will have to determine empirically the formula.
I think it will be rather tough to use "space" characters or font size to manage the spacing between characters.
Instead, I see 2 solutions:
- send directly the text to the printer with the right Character Per Inch value : First calculate how many characters per inch you need (barcode estimated width divided by number of characters), then use print controls HEX - ENDHEX to define the instructions in printer language (for each device type you will print to). For better rendering use fixed font (COURIER, etc.) Note that it will work for printout, but not for print preview (text won't appear at all).
- second solution would be to generate text as an image if you have such a software, and print the image. It will work well in all situations.

You would add it to the head code section of your page properties. Page Properties-->Meta-->Head Content.
In you case I would add it to the template as you will want your cart to show even if not on a page that has the products.

You can use an iFrame ... there is widgets for that on the add ons page or you can get it from muse grid.com.
