How to patch a new customization?

Hi Gurus.
I would like to learn more about how to do and apply a new customized patch.
Is possible to create a patch driver ?
I need to do a patch with the EBS customization.
I read that this is possible using the FNDLOAD.
Somebody can send me some link to the correct documentation or a tutorial?

Hi,
If this is an unsupported patch to an existing EBS application then just take any patch and copy its structure/logic.
If you are planning to utilize adpatch for a custom module then theoretically that module needs to be registered (adsplice) and .drv files created listing all the valid files, similar to regular modules. Then copy the logic/structure of an existing patch. NB: this is on my list of things to try but I haven't done so yet ;-)
Maybe you could recommend that I try it and I'll blog it :-)

6455821 - Admin should be able to add new language support for MS other than predefined languages/locales
Suggest you log a Sun support case to get a copy of the MS6.2 patch which contains this RFE (scheduled to be in 125813-01) - and instructions on how to implement the new language.

How to I get new tabs to open to the correct home page?

When I open new tabs they just go to a Google Search page, which is very frustrating, especially when I open a new tab and try to type in the URL bar but as soon as it finishes loading Google it blanks out what I typed in and goes to the Google site. In other words, "blank" new tabs do not open to the Favorites page or even my home page. They open to Google. How do I change that? In other words, how do I get new tabs to stop opening to Google and start opening to either my home page or the Favorites screen? Thanks!

You can modify the browser.newtab.url pref on the about:config page and set it to the desired page to open.

We want to create a new field in header level and item level.
As per the thread the solution is given below.
In the IMG Config: Quality Management -> Quality Notification -> Notification Types -> Define screen areas for notification types Then Choose 'Define screen areas' Then Click on 'New entries' button Now, select the relevant Notification Type and click in 'Enter'. Select the 'Iten Cases' register and remember to setup the Tabstrip Header, Icon, etc. Set the 'Tabstrip active' flag. Then Save.

WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND IN CUSTOMIZATION PATH --> DEFINE SCREEN AREAS FOR NOTIFICATION TYPES.

Lets say Defect location need to be hidden, the field TXTCDOT need to have the radio button HIDE.
Hope this will suffice your requirement.

By double clicking the "DEFECTIVE QUANTITY (EXTERNAL), WE COULD NOT GET --> field TXTCDOT .

How to upload all the customization of infopath on different site

We have a sharepoint site have 5-6 custom List. We have customized the forms of every list using InfoPath. Now this site is used as the template for other 50 sites in production environment.
These all changes are published in production environment.
Now we have done more modification in InfoPath customization of site. Now how we will deploy this customization to all the 50 that is created previously.
I am new to project server.

Hi SonikaJ,
As Kirstesh said, you cannot deploy easily new customizations to your existing sharepoint sites. You have to save your site with your new customizations as a template and associate it to an EPT (Enterprise Project Type) from PWA/Server settings.
Nevertheless you can use a powershell script to update all existing sharepoint sites with your new customizations.
More technical experts on this forums might give you more details about powershell scripts.

We also have a requirement which can be fulfilled only by creating a new invoice type, because its a system defined am unable to change the access type to User. So what i have done is i have created a DFF in invoice header with new invoice type and doing a customization based on that.

Payments in AP can be done in two ways
1...Automatic payment program F110
F110 generates the payments based on the configuration you specify in vendor master data , APP program configuration F110 e.t.c. Invoices routed through MM using MIRO r booked directly using FB60 in FI are paid automatically by using F110 based on the configuration and parameter you entered in FBZP and F110.
2...Manual Payments F-53
Manual payments are chosen by company as an alternate to APP. Open vendor invoices are manually chosen in F-53 for payment purpose.
Down payment to vendor are made using F-48 and this should preferably be done with reference to PO
If you have MM module working in your organization then you should preferably book you all payments with reference to Purchase Order and hence you will need to make PO field mandatory for all posting keys in OB41 used for vendor payment processing.

User-exit for call new customize screen of another new program

Hello, I'm very appreciate for all who read this topic and give me some advice.
Anyone has an experience about customize standard program to create new screen
and add new screen to pop-up when user click some standard button to do something
for support business requirement and then continue to working the old step (such next old screen).
In QA11 (Manual UD), For posting stock quantity (After click button "Stock for inspection lot")
Business requirement need to avoid user to input stock quantity for unrestriced used (UR) and block
by after click button "Stock for inspection lot". Need to customize to pop-up new created screen for user
to choose sub-set of this inspection lot to post for UR or block by check box (Just overview)
Then after finish to select, Need to go back old screen ("Record UD : Stock" Screen) and default sum
of UR and block into screen (Automatic) for post to mvt.type 321, 350 later.
After checked, Not have any screen-exit after clicked button "Stock for inspection lot".
but i found 1 user-exit which was called after click above button.
So, Can i use user-exit to call new customize screen?
If need to go back from new customize screen to main screen, May have any problem? How to do it?
If finish to do in new customzie screen and need to continue display next old screen. How to do it in PAI of new customize screen.

For option: "install new versions automatically", we can simply prevent it via GPO or registry (the registry entry can also be deployed via GPO)
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Internet Explorer - Install new versions of Internet Explorer automatically

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
