How to permanently disable this message: "Press Esc to exit full screen." (by Adobe Flash Player) in Mac's Safari Browser?
Hello everyone,
I have been searching for sometime (without any success) for a solution to permanently remove this annoying message: "Press Esc to exit full screen."
Whenever I go to full screen mode, watching any video on YouTube, BBC, CNN (or many other websites which use Adobe Flash Player for streaming video) I have to bare seeing this message for several seconds until it fades away. Seeing this message once or twice would have been okay, but as we all watch many videos on a daily basis on internet, after weeks, months and now years seeing this message over and over again many times every day, it becomes very annoying, and I find myself rewinding many videos to their beginning after this message fades away to be able to watch it from the beginning without anything obstructing it!
Does anyone know how to "permanently" disable this message from appearing?
I am using the latest version of Safari 6.0 on the latest version of OS X (Mountain Lion 10.8.1), and have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (Plug-in version 11.4.402.265) installed on my new MacBook Pro 15" with Retina Display.

I am attaching a screenshot here for you to see that this setting was already set to what you suggested. I didn't need to change it as it was like this even before I post this message.
So the problem still presists and unfortunately your suggestion is not a solution to this probelm.
Last night I did more reseach and found a discussion in Adobe website, it seems a lot of other people have the same issue, and even started a discussion in Adobe website about it. But unfortunately Adobe refuses to address it and enable the end user at least to have an option to turn this message off from displaying permanently on his/her computer.

Hopefully more people will get involved and ultimately we will either get Adobe's attention, or someone will find a "hack" and post it here for all of us. I have found some suggested "hacks" for Windows environment (you can simply google it, I am sure you will find them too). But so far I haven't seen anything for Mac's Safari browser.

I have tried many things and with this new computer build I did not want to try any of the 3rd party fixes for this issue. I see a ton of posts regarding this issue some referring to the problem as the creator of the game or video, some referring to Why is this still an issue why hasn't this been fixed its been years.....
So I am starting a new discussion as I cant find any relevant in time fixes for my issue all I see is over two years old with no real fixes for the issue. So I hope I am just missing it.
Anyways here is the issue I would love to just disable it make it go away entirely. I know I need to press esc to exit full screen mode. Most of the time it does disappear and that would be fine too but while I am watching hulu videos in my queue and escaping between full screen mode and normal mode to add next show to queue and then going to next show in queue sometimes I have to refresh the page to make the bubble disappear.
Is there anything I can do? and I quote many users before me in stating "Why is this stilll an issue?"Hmmm lets see well in reply to your answer and comments. I only use firefox. I wrote an app about 6 months which without any user intervention could really mess up chrome. I could download passwords from chrome unencrypted so I do not use chrome I avoid it like the plaugue. Internet Explorer kind of the same issue but in reverse seems to be pretty secure but huge and klunky. So I only use firefox. I just refreshed it which fixed an issue I was having with a sign on issue with swagbucks ext add on not remembering who I am and so on. I will see if this has any effect.
To continue on this issue though if you know hulu at all. If I pick the next show I want to watch manually, which would technically load a new web page as a "refresh" It always disappears, However if I use the queue option or auto watch mode I really don't know how to properly discribe this. If I just let it finish a show and it automatically picks the next show. Then I assume that flash player programming is causing the web page change and so somehow yes the webpage changes but the "refresh" does not occur or inother words the flash player keeps running doesn't get refreshed and over time several things occure. If i watch about 5 shows in this automated matter flash starts to really eat up my memory and then the esc message starts to not disappear.
Also randomly I can not tell which ads cause this of course, I would love to be able to give you or hulu more info but There is an add that gets ready to play during a show. This add causes my antivirus to throw a fit and blocks it, then flash player crashes I would assume because of the failure to load the add and play it.
I understand your description of why it is the way it is and that makes since. But for us wire cutters or cable cancelers, I watch tv through online use and for whatever reason flash is the only option. and having to get off my couch and go over to my computer to refresh the webpage and or reload cause of crashes is getting old. -
I have checked all of my permissions and contiue to get this message after 68% mark when trying to install Adobe flash player. User does not have sufficient privileges to install adobe flash player. A required file (C:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash\flashplayer.xpt:5) could not be written due to insufficient permission.

Now, If i hit allow it will allow it but it pops up on almost every new website i go to and i have to allow it each and everytime.
Yet my Adobe version is 10,0,32,18 as shown in the picture below.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled overwritten and uninstalled Internet Explorer 8 with no luck of getting rid of this annoying problem. So if anyone has a slight idea of how to fix this problem i'll try anything because i hate it when something isn't working correctly. I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player using the uninstaller from adobe http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe after i did that i went to my system32 folder and delete my adobe folder which still had files left over in it (Deleted the whole macromed folder) C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
Note, You need to exit any browser you have up (IE,Firefox,ect) or else you will not be able to delete it and it'll say access denied. After deleting that i installed Adobe Flash Player with a .exe i downloaded from Adobe and it worked perfect! No more annoying message
Side note, I'm use XP so the marcomed folder might possible be somewhere else if you are useing Vista or Windows 7. -

How do I close Mozilla Firefox in order to instal an update of Adobe Flash Player?
I installed FF very recently at the recommendation of Blue Mountain.com as I was unable to send their e-cards with messages. Now I'm trying to update Adobe Flash Player and cannot do so because of the message 'close Moxilla Firefox to continue'. I've tried but have not been successful. Can you please help me? Thank you.
To close Firefox, in the menus select "File > Exit", you can start Firefox by using the same shortcut that you used to open Firefox originally.
I would ignore the instructions from Adobe. Adobe uses its own download manager but it is not required. All you need to do to install Adobe Flash is download the Adobe Flash manual installer and run it. I tried playing a you tube video, but received a message prompt to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. The link to Adobe stated that there are issues with MAC OS X 10.7 and Flash Player 10.3. The new version did not download. Any Suggestion

Alright guy's It always happens. Over 90% of the time it's just a matter of time before i fix my own problems. I solved my problem and now it works perfectly fine.
I'm gonna say how i fixed it so who ever finds this page on google can see how i did it. You can also go up to "View," and look all the way down to "Exit Full Screen."
Command+Control+f will toggle it off and on. -
Error message telling me to download latest verison of adobe flash player even though i have it
When i try and watch videos on facebook or any other video clips i have, i cant as it brings up a message telling me i need to download the latest message of adobe flash player and adobe, even though i have already got the most upated versions of all adobe programs.
