How to place many photos in layers?

I shot about 8 pictures at different angles and would like to put them in layers to straighten them and align them for another program. I can get them into PS listed above the main picture. but I can't open in Layers to align them all.

Thank You Nancy, you helped me out. I plan to use PS just prior to making three D photographs. Not with shadows like PS does, but with lenticular film overlay. I'm new to Photoshop but have a background in color darkroom work over 20 years. If I come-across any  more difficulties can I contact you for help?

  • How to place digital photos onto a colored background?

I have old photographs that I shot with my DSLR to digitize them.  I would like to combine two differently-sized photos onto a colored background to create one image.  I am brand-new to PS and LR (and very excited to finally have them!) and could use some help.
    Thank you!

    Try this:
    1) Decide what size you would like your final image to be and create a new PS document (File > New.)
    2) Click on your foreground color and choose the desired color for your background layer.
    3) To add the color to your background layer go to Edit > Fill.
    4) Go to File > Place (or Place Embedded) and navigate to your first photo. This will open it up as a new smart object layer. Press Enter to accept after it has opened.
    5) Repeat step 4 for your second photo.
    6) You can now scale your photos down and position them as desired by selecting a layer and going to Edit > Transform. Shift+click a corner of the image to scale, click inside to move. Press Enter when done.

  • How to place a photo in a numbers cell on iPad?

How do you insert a photo from the Camera Roll into a cell in Numbers?
Tried to Copy but when go to the cell there is no option to paste.
    IPad 2
    Thanks

It is OK. Got it sorted I think! Had imported the spreadsheet from Excel and found that if selected a cell outside the main spreadsheet range that could then paste there and just move the photo over.
Still welcome any other suggestions though.
    Thanks

  • How to place the photos in my background in a certain order?

I'm dragging a batch of photos from elsewhere on my computer into the "background" box, so that they play as a slide show when i'm looking at the menu. However, they're playing out of sequence; i want photos 1 thru 9 to play in that order, and iDVD seems to have decided randomly what order to put them in. Any way to tell iDVD to put them in the order I want? Thanks.

If you find the solution, let me know as well ..... iDvd often has a mind of its own (sorry to say).
Not a major issue in DVDSP though.

  • Adding photos to layers

how do i add photos to layers so i can blend images on photoshop element 8?

    Hi,
    Please follow these steps -
1 - Select the photos and open them in editor.
2 - These will open the photos as different images in project bin (under the image)
3 - Simply drag and drop one photo from the bin to another.
Each image you drag comes as a new layer. This will get the photos as different layers on the project
    Hope that helps.

  • Where do I see how many photos (and movies) are in my Revel library?

I see no place that states how many photos or movies are in Revel.

    Hi Pattie,
Thanks for the reply...but here's the status:
    A.
I'm in the Revel program downloaded on my desktop...not on its web site...and I made an album but can't find any place where it shows the number of photos in that album.
As I view Mel's Library page and go to: View/Added By there is a total in the upper left corner that shows the total photos Added by ME.
But when viewing photos in my library: View/ All Photos by Date in either Grid or Track there is no total anywhere on the page. Each track has it's total and that's it.
    I don't understand how Revel ID's a Duplicate.
A window, Skipped Photos, pops up and states, "X photos were duplicates" indicating that they were not uploaded - and that  is supported by the math (in 3 out of 5 uploads): Selected photos minus Videos and Dupes = # of photos uploaded.
However, on the last upload of 2000 Selected photos, the window said there were 2 duplicates. I counted 19 identical photos! Also without Revel identifying what the dupes actually were (by its reckoning) I have no way of determining what was not uploaded. All VERY confusing.
When uploading using the download program on my laptop Revel won't upload videos.
    B.
I went to the website and yes, when I click on the album it shows the photo count at the bottom. However, in order to get to the bottom of 10,000+ photos in the Library is a major and lengthy process as clicking on the side bar only takes me down a few photos with each click...and not to the end! There's no way to easily get to the bottom!  Scrolling the photos is equally slow and useless when all I'm trying to see is the total count! click on Sort oldest 1st and the newest go to the top! and the reverse is true of the other!

If you go to Import>Images and then navigate to a folder of jpegs (I don't think any other format will work) and import the first one (and they're named in succession; image001, image002 etc.) Flash will ask you if you'd like to imort an image sequence and then place all your photos one after another on the timeline one frame at a time.

  • How do I place a photo in Illustrator from my iPhoto Library?

I am a graphic designer and I use Illustrator and Photoshop a lot. I don't use iPhoto for most of my photo editing but rather for the organizing it does with my photos in regard to me viewing them.
Since updating to iPhoto 08 the other day I am unable to get into my photos folder and place a photo in Illustrator or open a photo from Photoshop. (I have now figured out how to use Photoshop to edit...so that is not my real issue) Because of this new design to keep people out of the folder so they don't corrupt them, it also seems to keep me out from even placing a photo.
Other than physically making a copy of it and placing it into another folder how can I access these photos? I have tried dragging and dropping the photo from iPhoto to my Illustrator page, I get this message +"QuickTime™ and a TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture."+
I can do a work around for Photoshop but what about Illustrator? Why can I not just place my photo?
I am sorry if this question is redundant to others being asked in regards to the "no easy access" to the main iPhoto Library but I didn't see any questions specifically asking about Illustrator.
    Thanks.

    Two things
1- When you go to Leopard the access is very easy and more direct
2 - for me I love the fact that I do NOT have to worry about having the latest version of the photo like I used to - now I export the photo (at worst - under Leopard I normally directly access the latest version) and know that it is the current version rather than looking at the original folder and the modified folder trying to remember the photo name (which makes exporting, using and deleting my preferred work flow under Tiger)

  • How do I rename many photos all at one time with one click?

I have got many photos of a sery and want to rename it all with one click only (instead of clicking through it all in single actions and wasting time).
How can I rename many pictures/photos all together with one click only? -
    1) I have OS X Yosemite
    2) Aperture
    3) Automator App
to use for this purpose, but I do not see through with any of it.
Detailed Support for 1) and 2) and 3)  please!

Here is an article on how to batch rename files in Yosemite using just the Finder. This is a new feature in Yosemite. See if this article helps you get your files renamed.

  • How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor

How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor at one time.  I receive the error message, "Unable to Import Files", which says "You exceeded number of files that can be selecteed and imported at once...."  What is the number?  Secondly is there a way around this for either the Organizer or Editor to work on thousands of photos at the same time?
    Thanks

I have never heard of this particular limit before.
Please understand, this appears to be the limit you can import into the Organizer at one time -- you can have as many photos as you want in the Organizer; but apparently you have to import in batches rather than all at once.
I don't think it applies to the editor; and I can't imagine wanting to have more then a few files in the editor at any one time ... even if you could open 2000 photos in the editor at once, what sense would that make?

  • When ordering enlarged photos from iPhoto, must I purchase them one at a time and pay a shipping fee for each and very one of them.  Sort of a ripoff but I can't figure how to purchase many and pay one shipping fee.

You may have better luck posting in the iPhoto forum if no one on this forum is able to assist. I'm sure you are doing something wrong though.

  • I have so many photos I only have 1G of memory left.  How can I move the photos to my external hard drive that is connected to my iMac?

I have so many photos on my Mac I only have 1G of memory left.  How can I move the photos to the external hard drive that is plugged into my iMac.

1GB? It's a miracle your Mac is running at all!
This is our resident iPhoto guru, Terence Devlin's, advice:
You can move your iPhoto Library to an external disk:
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
    4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Yes you can. In iPhoto create a Album with the photos you want in it. You can drag them from your Events folder. In iTunes with your iPad connected go to Photos by cliking on your iPad. You can then select the album or events you want.
