  • How to play a slideshow (with movies) from Iphoto to Apple TV second gen

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to play a slideshow with movies, that I normally play perfect with Iphoto (I even can add music)to let it stream to the Apple tv second gen?
    So I have some movies on Imac from a holiday in Egypt and Iphoto alows me let it play as a movie.
    How can I setup my Apple TV so that it is the same on my Apple TV? So with nice fade ins and outs?
    Thanks

    Ok Thank you, but I have one more question.
    The Iphoto library is loaded with different movies and Photos. They are sorted by date.
    Is there a possibily to make folders in Iphoto. So that I have on folder called for example "vacation Egypt" and put all the movies in this folder within Iphoto?
    And then when I select this map it will make a slideshow from all this movies with music? Just like in Iphoto?

  • Tempo problems with imported wav files

    Hey everyone, sorry if there's a quick fix for this in the forums that I couldn't find, but I've been having some tempo problems with imported .wav files.
    Long story short, my system couldn't handle playing all the tracks for a song while recording drums, so I bounced out an mp3 of the song and put it in a new Logic file so my drummer could just play along to that as I recorded him. Unfortunately, the original song is at 167 bpm, but I forgot to change the bpm in the new Logic file with the .mp3 file of the song to 167 bpm, so it was left at the default 120 bpm.
    So, the drums were recorded at the correct 167 bpm, but Logic thinks that those new drum .wav files should be played at 120 bpm, so when I import my drum tracks back into the original file, they do not play correctly at all.
    I could get record it all again, but I wanted to check if there was a way I could salvage what I already have, since my drummer lives about an hour away right now and can't just come over whenever he wants.
    Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.

    Hi,
    First, do not use MP3 in Logic, the sound quality is less than AIFF, WAV or CAF, and Logic has to decode it for playback, making it a heavier burden on the CPU than an uncoded audiofile, such as AIFF, WAV or CAF.
    Secondly, audio files are independent of Logic's tempo. If you bounce down an audio file in any format (other than Apple Loop), it will play back at the same speed, +regardless of Logics' tempo setting+, either at recording or playback. Logic doesn't 'think' anything. The BPM is only important to MIDI tracks, or to the spacing between audio files. The audio files themselves *are not affected* by the tempo setting. If you import an audio file of tempo 167 into a 120 BPM project, the file will still play at 167, only Logic will indicate the wrong bar positions.
    regards, Erik.

  • How to determine time value of a .wav file in real time as it plays?

    Hi all.
    I need to build a vi in which a .wav sound file is represented in a Waveform graph, and at the same time, I want to play that file, and have a vertical cursor line running along the Waveform graph, in order to have a visual representation of where the sound track is, in terms of time.
    Making the .wav file to appear graphicaly on a Waveform graph was an easy task to do, but then, I was´nt able to extract the time information of that .wav file, at the same time that this file is being played.
    This is a very common situation in music players, video players etc, where some kind of graphical artifact, represents in real time where the track is while it plays.

    Hi, this is the first ActiveX control I have played with but its really cool.
    I read this first: -
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wmplay10/mmp_sdk/iwmpcontrolsinterface.asp
    Which covers "The IWMPControls interface provides a way to manipulate the playback of a media item."
    Then built the attached sample.
    It should now be straight forward to attach the position information shown to a graph control cursor postion.
    You will need to set a file of your own choosing in the VI first.
    Let us all know if this is what you wanted.

  • Cannot Play 44100Hz, 16-bit, Stereo wav files ni a VOIP based program.

    Hi,
    I have a VOIP program that makes the user at one end who calls the running java program to listen to the .wav file once the program picks up the incoming call from a sipphone. I have used SIP libraries in this project.
    CASE 1:
    When I provide a .wav file whose AudioFormat=PCM, Audio Sample Rate = 8000Hz, Audio Sample Size = 8-bit, Channel = 1(Mono), BitRate=128Kbps it plays well and i can hear the audio over the internet at the other end. In the code at one place I provide the following formats to the AudioFormat() function as mentioned below:
    format = new AudioFormat(8000, 8, 2, true, true);where -
    1st param = float sampleRate - the number of samples per second
    2nd param = int sampleSizeInBits - the number of bits in each sample
    3rd param = int channels - the number of channels (1 for mono, 2 for stereo, and so on)
    4th param = boolean signed. - indicates whether the data is signed or unsigned
    5th param = boolean biEndian - indicates whether the data for a single
    sample is stored in big-endian byte order (false means little-endian)
    Then I pass this format variable to transmit the audio format just formed. "format" is of the following type:-
    //set of import statements in the file.
    import javax.sound.sampled.AudioFormat;
    import javax.sound.sampled.AudioSystem;
    import javax.sound.sampled.LineUnavailableException;
    import javax.sound.sampled.TargetDataLine;
    import javax.sound.sampled.Mixer.Info;
    private AudioFormat format;

  • How do I open a Quicktime created wav file in other sound editing software?

    A friend sent me three wav files created in QuickTime but they won't open in ANY sound editing software or players I have other than Quicktime. I need to use these for an upcoming podcast but can't do anything with them until I can open them with my editing software (WavPad Sound Editing).
    Can someone please tell me how to do this?

    On a Windows system you can't. There is a plugin codec for WMV for the Mac version of QuickTime, but not for Windows. You'll need to use other software.

  • UCCX single play prompt step for multiple wav files

    Hi there!
    Is possible to use single 'Play Prompt' step to play a chain of .wav files on UCCX?
    For example, have variable chain_audio that can contain different content length
    ex:
    chain_audio = "P[1.wav] P[2.wav] P[3.wav]"
    chain_audio = "P[1.wav] P[2.wav] P[3.wav] P[4.wav] P[5.wav]" etc.
    Play Promtp (-Triggering Contact-, chain_audio)
    Is it supported?
    Thanks

    I'm not sure it is possible to call and fill Create Container within Java code. It is possible to setup variables by hand in Create Container Prompt step, like in Play Prompt step.
    Parse a String to Array and fill up Create Container Prompt with Array elements manually. In my example i have only 4 elements, but in real world i could have more than 15 elements.
    I wish Play Prompt/Create Container was filled automatically with chain of audio files, because it is impossible to know the array size beforehand.

  • How to do an FFT on a WAV file ?

    I would like to know what VI I should use
    to do an FFT on a WAV file. Thank you.

    You can use the "Snd read waveform" vi, located in the function palete:
    Graphics & Sounds -> Sounds
    to read the actual sound in the wave file. Then use the appropriate FFT vi in the signal processing menu.
    there is an example provided with LabVIEW that can be of help to your effort. It is called "Simple Sound Spectrum Analyzer" and its description is that "Demonstrates how to acquire a waveform from a sound input device, window it, compute the autopower spectrum and the power and frequency of the peak frequency component."

  • How to bounce or render a mono wav file?

    Hello all....this seems like a basic question, but I'm stumped. How do you bounce a stereo project to a mono (sum of both L and R) file? I switched the little "interlocking circles" symbol on the master output to a single circle, but that seems to move the summed audio to the L channel only, and then looking at the bounced file, it creates a stereo L + R channel, with the audio showing up on the L and a blank R channel. What I want is a single waveform containing both L + R audio, resulting in a balanced sound in L and R speakers. This should also result in half the file size of a stereo wav file the same length.
    Thanks in advance.

    Set the Stereo Outst to mono, then use the little bounce button underneath the fader to bounce. Using a bounce keycommand will always result in a stereo bounce. Using that little button will create a true mono file. If you have already inserted stereo Plugs on the Master Out this will not work, the Outs will remain stereo. So remove those plugs first.

  • How to create list items with multiple attachment files using rest api javascript

    In one of user form I am using javascript rest api to create a list item with multiple attachment files. So far I am able to create list item and once created uploading an attachment file. But this is two step process first create an item and then upload
    a file.
    It create an additional version of the item which is not desired. Also I am not able find a way to attach multiple files in a go. Following is the code I am using.
    createitem.executeAsync({
                    url: "/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('UserForm')/items(1)/AttachmentFiles/add(FileName='" + aFile.name + "')",
                    method: "POST",
                    contentType: "application/json;odata=verbose",
                    headers: {
                        "Accept": "application/json;odata=verbose",
                        "X-RequestDigest": $("#__REQUESTDIGEST").val()
                    binaryStringRequestBody: true,
                    body: fileContent,
                    success: fnsuccess,
                    error: fnerror
    So somehow I need to combine item attributes along with attachment files in body: param. I visited https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn531433.aspx#bk_ListItem but no success.
    Appreciate any help.

    Thanks Mahesh for the reply and post you share it was useful.
    But this does not solve the core of the issue. You are uploading attachments after creation of item and multiple files are being attached in loop. This is kind of iterative update to an existing item with attachments. This will end up creating multiple versions.
    What I am trying to achieve is to create an item along with multiple attachments in a go. No item updates further to attach a file.
    Please suggest how this can be done in one go. SharePoint does it when one creates an item with multiple attachment.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • How to populate an array with random text files.

    I am making a Jeopardy program. I have my program set up so that it retrieves 5 random text files. I just want to know how I populate one array with all the lines from the text files my program is retrieving.

    You can read a textfile line by line and add each line to an ArrayList. An ArrayList is very much like an array only that it's "open ended". You can start adding lines without first knowing how many you're going to get. If you still want an ordinary "static" array when you're finished reading lines you can easily get one from the ArrayList and then drop the ArrayList.

  • How to connect Peachtree database with an Excel File

    I have Crytal Report 2008 SP1 for Peachtree Quantum 2010.  I need to make a report that links an Excel 2007 File with Peachtree data files but I have not success.  I could do it with previous version of Crystal .  Could any one help me on this matter?
    Thanks in advance for your time.

    I suggest you contact Peachtree for support. If you can create any other report off of an Access table for example then it's a configuration and/or database connector issue with Peachtree.
    Also verify they support CR 2008.
    Thank you
