How to play audio file in voice Modem

Hi,
I am developing IVR application. i want to run audio file whenever phone rings.
caller should be able to hear the content of audio file.
I am using voice modem DLINK DFM 562E++.
Please give some idea how to implement it using JMF.
Thanks in advance
Pradeep

@ mark
as u said I am doing all these. but my problem is i do not get OK response back when i send AT+VLS=7 command to receive a call. AT+VLS=7 is needed to select device mode and enabling transfer and receive.
when i send AT+VLS=7 after ring, it seems call is picked up but i do not get ok response back in my program.
after this none of command gives ok response so i don't know whether my setting to play file is correct or not.
i am doing this one by one...
'Init' AT Command: 'ATE0V1S0=0&C1&D2+MR=2;+DR=1;+ER=1;W2<cr>'
'VoiceMode' AT Command: 'AT+FCLASS=8<cr>'
'EnableCallerID' AT Command: 'AT+VCID=1<cr>'
'SpeakerPhoneON' AT Command: 'AT+VSP=1<cr>'
SpeakerGain' AT Command: 'AT+VGS=255<cr>'
'SpeakerPhoneVolume' AT Command: 'ATL=3<cr>'
'SpeakerPhoneControl' AT Command: 'ATM=3<cr>'
'VoiceGainTransmit' AT Command: 'AT+VGT=255<cr>'
'SetupSampling' AT Command: 'AT+VSM=129,8000,0,0<cr>'
after this if ring comes then i am sendnig AT+VLS=7 to serial port.

    Hi Ganesh,
my suggestion to u is use existing streaming protocol that already support by MMAPI, thats RTSP/RTP protocol.
u only need to configure existing streaming server like HELIX SERVER or DARWIN SERVER, and ENCODER like FFMPEG, HELIX PRODUCER, etc to encode ur live media / store file become RTP packet and then let server send that to ur client. u can use camera / TV turner also to capture live video and send that by streaming. So u dont need to make ur own server, except ur project need different protocol from that streaming server use.
in client side, u can choose to use REAL MEDIA or make ur own player, Nokia already support RTSP protocol since S40 3rd edition and S50 2nd edition FP 3. so u dont need to parse by ur code RTSP message and RTP packet. u also can use forward and backward fiture too by that both streaming server.
please read any RTSP / RTP standar protocol reference, i think it will be helpfull to u to make ur own system configuration ..
    -best regards-

  • How to play audio files in sequence?

I have several audio books that I am trying to listen to on the new nano 6g. It seems that when one chapter is done playing, it restarts the same chapter instead of moving on to the next one in sequence. I have disabled shuffle, which I have never liked, but with the new design, it doesn't seem like there is a universal shuffle off setting, just the shake featue. I don't want ANY shuffle. How can I get this thing to play files in ORDER?
    thanks

This is an interesting topic. Nobody dares to believe that Java can do good sound. I got all hooked up and studied it for an hour. I hope you or another will be able to use what I've found. It seems credible that Java have some great audio capabilities, but I haven't tested them all yet.
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/sound/playing.html
has a great general introduction to sound in applications versus applets.
If you are dealing with a limited set of sound files that you want to incorporate in, say, a game, convert them to .au or .wav files or another that can be read by the AudioClip class. A great conversion tool that I've used for some time is Goldwave. Fetch at at

Java Media Framework can do more than that, it can stream audio and do other stuff too. The procedure is as follows:
    1. Download JMF
    2. import javax.media.*;
    3. make a Manager
    4. get a Player from the Manager
    5. play something

  • Looking for some info on how to play music files on IPAD2

Hi and thanks for sharing.  Trying to figure out how to play sound files such as wavs or mp3s on my ipad2 while I browse the internet or use my computer.  I was trying to see if the music feature will play my songs or if I can import downloaded files from the net to itunes and if that will play in the background.  I have an audio program that can send sound files to email and was trying to figure out how, similarly, to get this play in the background while I do things too.  That and sound files downloaded from the internet.   Do these go to iCloud when you download them?  Can I import sounds into itunes with my iPad someway.  (It's the only computer or device I own).   Basically looking for a pathway to get music from my audio program that's sent to email, and clips I've DLed off sites on the internet, to play while I use the pad or browse the net.  Thanks for your intel on the mission.   Cheers!

The only way to get content into the Music app is via iTunes store downloads or syncing with itunes on a computer. You will need to find a third party media player such as VLC (whick integrates with DropBox and GoogleDrive, if that appeals to you).

  • Playing audio file while Downloading

    Hello all,
Can anyone give me an idea on how can I play audio file while downloading.
    Thanks

Connect the external drive and then launch Disk Utility found in Applications/Utilities. Your external drive while show up in Disk Utility's side bar. It should be Mac OS Extended or OS Extended (Journaled).
    If it isn't:
Then select it and click the 'Erase tab' at the top.
Select Mac OS Extended-Journaled formatting from the Volume Format menu.
Then click the oval Erase button at the lower right. Just remember-this will erase the drive!

  • Audio files and voice recordings have no sound in iMovie after a while, help?

I was editing and I was putting audio files and recording my voice fine then all of a sudden, audio files and voice recordings I were adding had no sound. The ones already put on had sound but when I tried to drag more audio files or record my voice, nothing. No sound. I tried restarting my Mac, didn't work. I changed the MP3 name to AIFF, didn't work. I'm using iMovie '11.

Hi PK - welcome to the forum!
Increasingly, people with digital still cameras want to import their short movie clips created with that camera. BUT the catch is that these movies are NOT in .dv format. They are MPEGs, and if they are MPEG1 or MPEG2 then they must be converted to DV before they will import into iMovie with the audio able to play.
This conversion usually can be done with a free app. called MPEG StreamClip, but may also need another piece of software called the Apple MPEG2 Playback Component (which costs about $20)..
A search in this forum for those, will give you several threads on the issue!
Look here, for example, for more about the method required:
    http://www.sjoki.uta.fi/%7Eshmhav/SVCDon_a_Macintosh.html#edit_convertMPEG
NOTE that iMovie was designed for DV use (a high-quality editing format), not the much lower quality MPEG footage.

  • Play audio files in Bridge CS6

    Hi,
I used to be able to play audio files created with my Mk4 right in the preview window in CS4 which was easy for renaming files after their description was recorded when taking the shot.
Does anyone know how I can do this in CS 6 - there are no play/pause controls under the preview like there was in CS4.
    Thanks Heaps for any help.

    Hi ,
yes , MK4 and .wav files
    I have Mac 10.7.5 & Bridge CS6
I have selected "Play audio files automaticly when selected" in the preferences but it doesnt do it.
In previous versions of bridge you could get a play and pause buttons below the .wav icon view in the preview
    but this doesnt happen.
It is really inconveinent as it defeats the purpose of having the .wav file and the I have to go back to Bridge CS4 to play the files.
    Thanks

  • Getting prompt "Audio file "Male Voice#16.aif" not found", upon app startup

    Hi -
I've been using GarageBand for podcasting for the last couple of years. But it seems to be acting funky:
For the last couple of uses, I've gotten the prompt "Audio file “Male Voice#16.aif” not found." Where would this file be found? I went as far as to try reinstalling but it didn't work.
This morning, while trying to record bumpers, I recorded my voice, only to find it recording at a much deeper register than usual. I had no effects on it, but it sounded as though the pitch was being bent somehow. Also, while recording my voice, I usually have the monitor on (while listening through headphones), and couldn't hear the background music that I use to assist in timing.
Any ideas on how to fix these issues?
I'm not sure if the two things are related, or not. I just need to get it fixed. I've tried reinstalling, to no avail.

"Audio file “Male Voice#16.aif” not found."
did you copy and paste between projects?
recording at a much deeper register than usual.
    what equipment are you using?
couldn't hear the background music that I use to assist in timing.
were any tracks soloed or muted? have you deleted any tracks?

  • Play audio file in Java

    This is very cute example.
I want to do this: In JTextPane I have some audio files (.au) and what I want to do is that vhen I duble clicked to the file that this file will be opened in some program (like CoolEdit). And this program (with file, which is played) I want to insert to my application. If someone know how to do this, pleasse tell.
I know that with applet player can play audio file, but this is not good enough for me:)
    Thanks a lot.

You can use some static methods in the Applet class to play AudioClips, but these only play short sound files. Try reading this thread to play long sound files:

  • Play Audio File in application

    Hello all.
Can anybody tell me how can I play some Audio File from my application?
I think that it's impossible. (I can play Audio File only if i will use java.applet.AudioClip).
I know that some classes in sun.*.*... can play Audio File.
And I want to know why developers cann't make them easy of access.
    Thank you,
    Dmitry

There are 2 ways you can play audio in an application. The of audio tools packaged with applets can be adapted to work in an application. Unfortunately, I do not know how to do this. I have had more success with sun.audio.*, but have been unable to find any documentation on it, which makes it very limiting.

  • Playing Audio Files in the Finder-any tips?

Something I've been meaning to ask for ages... and hopefully an easy one to answer!
When playing audio files in the Finder (in 10.5.8), it's really annoying when the file stops playing when you click on another window or application (or even just the Desktop). Is there any way around this?
Someone recommended Snapper, but it's the same story - file stops playing when you click on any other area. Is this problem confined to Leopard (ie. has it been fixed in Snow Leopard?) - never used to be like this in Tiger.
Some of us like to multi-task when listening to audio. The only solution I can see is importing the file into itunes. Any other suggestions?

I assume you're talking about QuickLook?
That's not the Finder, that's QuickLook.
QuickLook is a function that can only work with the foremost selected item, and that makes sense, as you can, for example, QL a PDF within Mail.app, as well.
Why not just use column view (doesn't everybody?) and play it in the Preview pane at the right?
It will keep playing until you close the window or select another object within it.
I use QuickLook when I want to give an audio file a quick once-over - skip here and there, but for actually playing it through, I use the column view preview.
