By the way, I have already enabled Apps to be downloaded from Anywhere, (even thoug this is only as web based application.  am not downloading it at all) Also, my seurity prefs in Safari are set to not block pop up windows.

  • How to play multiple CDs from Music list

This may sound really dumb, but I can't figure out how to play multiple albums in the latest iTunes.  I have to drag them over to a Playlist then check all the individual songs.  Is there a way to gang up multiple albums and get them onto Up Next by just selecting from Music?  Sometimes only the first song will play when I double click an album.  This would be similar to playing three CDs from your home stereo, for instance.  Can this simple task be performed from ITunes, please??

Basically right click the artits in that left column and select Add to Up Next.
You can also select individual albums by right clicking the album cover a little to the right and choosing the same option.

Fantastic!  Didn't work at first so restarted App store and tried again.  This time it asked 'ignore update'.  All gone!

how many devices can i run lion on it?

As far as licensing goes, it seems that as long as all the Macs are being used in your household, there's no limit.
    From the Lion license file:
"If you obtained a license for the Apple Software from the Mac App Store, then subject to the terms and conditions of this License and as permitted by the Mac App Store Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms and Conditions (http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/ww/) (“Usage Rules”), you are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license:
    i) to download, install, use and run for personal, non-commercial use, one (1) copy of the Apple Software directly on each Apple-branded computer running Mac OS X Snow Leopard or Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server (“Mac Computer”) that you own or control."

  • I have a mac book 10.6.8 that has been upgraded to Snow Leopard (latest version.) How can I upgrade to mountain lion with 1GB of memory? When I go to buy it, it says that it's not compatible with my Mac but my Mac has all of the qualifications.

If anyone has any idea I'd really appreciate it. I just bought the iphone 5 and recieved the new nano as a birthday gift and now I'm up a creek without a paddle b/c I can't plug them into my laptop without the new itunes that runs on Mountain Lion.
Please help, I'm not very tech savvy.

You don't need anything higher than OSX 10.6.8 to run iTunes 11.  iTunes system requirements - http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
You can't upgrade without more RAM.

  • How many computers can I use Lion on? Do I need to use them on one ID?

    Hello,
My house has exactly 5 Mac's in it and I wish to upgrade all of these to Lion.  In the past whenever I did an OS update I purchased the family pack instead of the standard edition which covered all 5 of the Mac's we own.
Am I correct that now the 10.7 Lion edition in the Mac App Store for $29 covers 5 computers or is there a separate family pack available?  Is there now just one version which covers 5 computers?
The other question is how to go about the install.  Two of the computers are in my home office but the other two belong to our children and when it comes to using the Mac App Store on all of those computers they are login into my Apple ID (me.com).
The 5th computer is my wife's though and that computer is using her Apple (me.com) ID since she makes her own purchases from the Mac App Store, iTunes, and has her own me.com email on it so her computer is the one that is unique.
Will the above present any problems?  Will I be able to buy Lion and install it on the 4 computers on my ID and then have her buy her own copy for her computer or is there a way that I can get one version that goes on all 5 computers even though her computer is using a different ID for the Mac App Store?
    Thank you for your help.

You can install Lion on all of your computers, you may want to have your wife download the app again on her account or you can make a Lion install DVD by following these instructions.  http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20080989-263/how-to-create-an-os-x-lion-ins tallation-disc/

  • New update how to play music on apple tv

I just updated my iPhone 4 and now can't figure out how to play music or videos on my apple tv

iPhone 4 can AirPlay audio just fine, I'd forgotten that it can't do screen mirroring.  It's been so long since I had my iPhone 4 but I'm certain that some apps will allow video output over AirPlay (which is not the same as screen mirroring).  The stock iOS Photo and Video apps could stream pictures and video to ATV, but true mirroring of everything you see on the screen is not supported on iPhone 4.  It isn't iOS 7 that took away this capability, it is a capability that has always been limited with iPhone 4 (and earlier).
If you are sure that your old 3G can output video over AirPlay, which specific apps?  Those same apps should work on the iPhone 4, even with iOS 7.

  • Tip: How to play a playlist one song at a time from iTunes on a computer using the checkbox property

I would like to share a tip about how to play a playlist one song at a time from iTunes on a computer. The tip I am sharing is simple, but I was not able to find it in the iTunes Help. After searching on the internet I found the idea for this solution in a discussion in which this was presented as a frustrating problem rather than a desired behavior. This tip relies on the checkbox for each song in iTunes. For a song in a playlist to play automatically, the checkbox must be checked. To keep a song from playing in a playlist, simply uncheck it. Therefore, to keep all songs from playing automatically in a playlist, simply uncheck them all. Now you have a list of desired songs in a desired order but none of them will play automatically. You can play each one when you want to play it without having to search for the next song and without having to be at the computer to stop the playing after each song.
    Step by step:
    1. Create the playlist.
    2. Uncheck all of the check boxes in the playlist (In iTunes for Windows, ctrl click one of the check marks to uncheck all of the checkboxes at once)
    3. Now double click (or select and press spacebar) a song to play it. It will stop when finished because there is no other song checked to be played next.
    4. If you want to change back to normal sequential play, ctrl click one of the check marks again to change all of the checkboxes back to the checked status.
Based on some discussions I found while looking for a solution (including at least one in which the questioner got bashed about why anybody would ever want to do such a thing and in which the proposed solutions were things like creating one song playlists or simply press stop after each song), some may not understand why this would ever be desired.  Here's why I wanted to do it:
I was responsible for playing a series of songs at a dance. I needed to stop after each song to have a transition time to allow me to introduce the next song and to give new dancers time to get onto the floor and other dancers an opportunity to leave the floor. Furthermore, I was also dancing and didn't want to have to spend time searching for the next song (which is why I wanted to create a playlist in advance with just the songs I wanted to play in the order I wanted to play them) and I wanted each song to stop after playing since I was not at the computer to press stop.
I hope this will help others who have a similar need.

Thank you! I put some self help hypnosis tracks to listen to on my iPod. I did not want to go to the next track automatically, I wanted to listen to them individually, one at a time. (If I fell asleep, I did not want to 'wake up' in the middle of a different track.) Your information helps me understand that I need to re-load this playlist onto my iPod from my  Mac computer, only first, I need to UNCHECK the boxes in front of each track so the iPod will STOP each time after playing the selected track. It is too bad that so many functions are not availabvle within the iPod, but that is probably why they can make it so compact.

    Hello royalaqua,
I do think you should ask yourself if upgrading to Lion is the right course to take.
Snow Leopard is an excellent OS and Lion has literally been frozen out after barely a year.   Remember too that some of your apps may not work with Lion (those that have Rosetta, for example) so that could mean more new purchases.   Plus you may need to uprate your RAM too.

  • On OSX Lion i used to drag the window to the top of the screen and get maximise, and drag the window right or left to show the both beside each other just like windows 7, How to do it on Mountain lion ?

That has never been a feature of Mac OS X, but I believe there was some kind of third-party software that could add that capability.  i don't recall what its name is, but you must have had that installed, and it either isn't installed anymore (perhaps removed as incompatible?) or is not working properly in Mountain Lion.

I'd like to know how to play a sequence of podcasts?
Finishing to hear a podcast, it comes back to main menu! Why can it play all the contents in sequence, like music?

Hold down the mute button on the steering wheel until you hear,"Ready" and then say "Voice". That will bring up Siri.

  • How do I re-install Mountain Lion on a new hard drive (replacement)?

I have an older iMac 24" (2007) that has been up-graded to Mountain lion.  I want to replace my hard drive with a bigger one (has 500Gb).  How can I re-install Mountain Lion on my new drive?  I have Time Machine on this machine.

Install 10.6 and 10.8 onto the new drive exactly how you did it on the old drive, except that you won't need to pay to redownload 10.8. Alternatively, if you kept a copy of the 10.8 installer, you can just rerun it.
