How to play Ipod on another computer
I want know how to play my I pod on another computer without losing my music or movies.
If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer or with more than one library you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:
Using iPod with Multiple computers
Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
Syncing Music to iPod
Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod

How to play songs on another computer when original files is elsewhere.
Is it possible to just play the songs on my itouch on another computer when connected to itunes? Although, the original mp3 files are all on another computer. I could view all the songs on the music tab when the device is connected but all I get are grayed out text. Would I need another software to do this? Or am I not seeing the hidden option to do so.
I guess you'll have to switch to "manually manage music" to be able to play the music from your ipod when connected to another computer. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1535
Don't forget to disable autosync before connecting to another computer. -

please advise how I can put my iPod on another computer, my old one died a slow death. There is one short video on my iPod that can't be replaced.
- What is the source of the videos? If taken by the iPod you can transfer them to the new computer by:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
- If they were iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- If they were synced to the iPod and not iTunes purchases then you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView. -

Using ipod with another computer
Hi I would appreciate any help anyone could offer please! I would like to use my ipod on another computer (ibook g4). How do I go about transfering my songs, videos etc on my new computer. I have purchased some songs but it wont allow me to download to my ipod help! It has copied my ipod onto the computer but wont allow me to access them? Any help very much appreciated thanks in advance!
I thought my question was answered and it kind of was, however there were some things that were not explained.
If I use a compatable computer and link into in tunes it ask me a series of questions. All I am trying to do is purchase something from iTunes and download it to my iPod Video from another computer.
I want to make sure that everything in my iPod stays and that everything I have purchased stays not only in my computer but at the very least that I can make sure that I will be able to have them on my computer when I get home.
So, is there a way to purchase something from iTunes from another computer and download it my iPod?

Hi! I´m from Mexico, actually I´m not good in Enlglish but I will try to do my best:
A friend of mine asked me for my ipod to play some songs in a party he held, i refused to do that because my ipod is sync with my PC.
Is it possible just to play ipods in another PC without affecting anything? Also I have the same problem with my PC at office, I just want to play music but I´m afraid that something fails.
I hope someone can help me, thanks in advance! In my opinion, the easiest way is to unplug the speakers from the computer & plug them directly into the iPod.
Cheers!

Transferring from my new ipod to another computer
Is it possible to transfer all of my music from my new ipod to another computer that I have? I copied all of my CD's on my home computer & now I am connected to my other computer which has my old music library on it.....is it posssible to have your library on two computers?
compaq Windows 2000If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

If an iPod is stolen, can you track it when they try to connect the iPod to another computer?
No. You can only track it if you had setup the FindMyiPhone feature and some other constraints.

HT5517 how to play dvd on my computer on apple tv
how to play dvd on my computer on apple tv
Welcome to the Apple Community Jorge.
Firstly you will need your Mac to support Mirroring...
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button.
AirPlay Mirroring from a Mac also requires a fairly robust network.
Then you will need to use a 3rd party DVD player such as VLC since the Apple DVD Player software doesn't permit AirPlay Mirroring. -
If i sync my ipod with another computer to get more music on it. Will it erase all my apps, app data, and pictures?
All synced media that is not already in the iTunes library on the second computer will be erased. This second computer will be your syncing computer
You can only sync with one computer/iTunes library.
