How to play .MOD files on mac

hi all,
I need to play some .MOD files (video) on my mac. Window media player 10 and 11 play the files but mac only has media player 9 - is there any other way i can get these .MOD files to play?

Otherwise download and use VLC. If that can't open them, then you'll probably have to resave them on the PC to a different file format:

Hello,
I'm a big Mac convert and I can do 99% of what I need w/o Windows.
However, I have a lot of movies that are on my windows machine which are back-ups and I want to read them or convert them on a Mac so I do not have to painstakenly redo them. They are images (.VOB) files.
Any ideas?

For the record, VOB files are not images, they are just multiplexed video/audio/subtitle streams. MPlayer and VLC should both have no trouble playing them. If they're in a VIDEO_TS folder, DVD Player will play them (File->Open DVD Media).

It pops up this error message when i paly .asf fles "VLC player doestnot support audio or video form G2M3",Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix it".
These are some recorded class sessions in asf format,which I need to go through and learn.

Flash Player itself is designed to play SWF content as a browser plugin or as an ActiveX control (when it's IE Windows).
There is a standalone Flash Player, but that's something Adobe provides directly as a feature of Flash CS4 Professional. It gets installed with Flash. We have made some standalone players available on http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html, but not all (and I don't know why. Looking into it)
There are numerous 3rd party standalone SWF players out there though. Some designed to just play video, others that play full SWF. I suggest a google search of 'play SWF standalone' and read the results.
On the Mac, consumers who want to play SWF content off their desktop can use the Adobe Media Player. You can import a local SWF (and FLV and other video) and play it in AMP. Get it here:

That's Mac only, doesn't work on Windows.

as far as I can tell you have to convert to an ipad compatible format first. If you google "how to convert wrf" you will find options for conversion. I dont know if your on mac or windows, so the search is going to be your best bet for now.

I was trying to see if the music feature will play my songs or if I can import downloaded files from the net to itunes and if that will play in the background. I have an audio program that can send sound files to email and was trying to figure out how, similarly, to get this play in the background while I do things too. That and sound files downloaded from the internet. Do these go to iCloud when you download them? Can I import sounds into itunes with my iPad someway. (It's the only computer or device I own). Basically looking for a pathway to get music from my audio program that's sent to email, and clips I've DLed off sites on the internet, to play while I use the pad or browse the net. The only way to get content into the Music app is via iTunes store downloads or syncing with itunes on a computer. You will need to find a third party media player such as VLC (whick integrates with DropBox and GoogleDrive, if that appeals to you).

Although the link posted by the other responder shows .bin files to be a copy of RAW CD or DVD data in my experience most .bin files are some type of configuration file mainly used with internet routers and other pieces of PC/Networking equipment.
Just where did this .bin file come from and what is it associated with that you are trying to open on your Mac?
If it is a router configuration file that you downloaded you don't open it on the Mac. You log into your router and go to the update firmware section and browse to that file stored on your Mac hard drive and let the router handle opening and updated the routers firmware.
