How to play MP4 videos from library assets, not external source

I can play MP4 video files all day long, as long as they are from an external source. How can I target via linkage MP4 video files in the library? I'm building a Kiosk application and can't have any external assets--only assets from the library. Please only post comments or solutions based on using the video object, not the Playback component. Thanks

I want to play different videos in SharePoint 2013. I have added three videos in different formats in the Asset Library. One WMV and two MP4.
When i click om the WMV video in the library, it start to play ok. And I can put the video in a published page and it works ok.
But if I click on one of the MP4 video, I got the error message "Media failed to load. This file is in a format that is not recognized". What do I have to do to make it work? (If I try to start the MP4 video from my computer it works ok)

Please install the Silverlight on your computer, check if the MP4 videos could be played.

To retrieve the data from database, I suggest that you could use DAO and you could iterate the records.

For this requirement of play video, I suggest that you could create a new form, then add the Windows Media Player ActiveX control to the form.
You could set the value to URL property to specify the media file. To full screen the player, you could set
fullScreen to True.
For the issue of play one after another or play a video through VBA, they are more related to VBA, the VBA forum is the better place for VBA questions, I suggest that you could post it there for solutions.

55HT1U LCD TV - how to play home videos from external hard drive

Hey guys, I'm connecting my external hard drive to my 55HT1U LCD TV via HDMI to watch home movies. The TV is able to recognize the external drive, I'm able to browse folders and see pictures, but the movie files are not recognized! Does anyone know what formats the TV recognizes, or if there is anything I can do to play movies straight from my external? Thanks.

How do i import video from iPhone to an external drive

I have a lot of video clips on my iPhone. I like to export them to an external drive. I don't want to create an new iPhoto libraries. I just want to move the video clips from my IPhone, such that later I can import selected one's to iMovie. Once the clips are imported to an external drive, how do I delete them from the iPhone. I don't want to have to delete them one at a time!

Hi Halle,
Connect the iPhone to your Mac using the USB/Lightning charge cable. Open the Apple provided app "Image Capture" (it should be in your Applications folder). Image Capture should recognise the iPhone as a connected device and create thumbnails for each video clip and photo. To select everything (including photos) click on Edit>Select All in the Menu. If you only want to import the videos you will need to click (or Command>Click or Shift>Click) on the video clips in order to select them. Then select Import at the bottom right of the viewer. But before that step, at the bottom left, you need to select Import to: Other (from the pop-up menu) then navigate to your connected external drive. All the selected videos will be copied to that drive.
To delete all the videos from the iPhone, there is no quick way of doing this, as far as I'm aware. But to speed up the process, firstly select the Videos album in the Photos folder, then press on Select at the top right of the screen. You can now touch each video clip to invoke a tick mark (circled in blue). Once you have selected all the clips you wish to delete, simply touch the Trash icon at the bottom right. You may also be able to delete the clips when syncing the iPhone with iTunes, but I haven't tried this.

Can anyone help me.
I want to delete songs that in my library to increase the memory on my pc, but if I de-select them, they will be deleted from my ipod.
I want to keep all the songs in my ipod but add to them later, how do i do this.
also, i may wish to delete songs later, but again how do i do this if i have deleted my library.

Set iPod to manual update.
But be warned, if something happens to your iPod later, you may risk losing your songs. Better backup your songs first before deleting them from the computer.

How to read mp4 video

I am start working with Labview 8.20 to do a project which have to contain some videos. I already have searched in this forum some information/code examples how to play mp4 videos (or other well-know formats like avi, mpeg...), but I didn't find nothing that I think it would help me.
Could someone give me some help or example codes that I can use?

I've been awhile without working with LabView, but I've seen the link provided and found then a page that I thought it was what I was looking for. ..
However, I copied this code (which can be seen in annex) and place a sample video, but not getting results. Could be by incompatible versions of LabView? I'm using version 8.20.
I apologize if my question is basic, but as I had said, I started working with these types of programs recently and so I don't know much about it!

The start chapter button is a play the whole movie button regardless of how many other markers you have.
Once a DVD starts playing it continues to the end.
Chapters marker simply gives the viewer a place to start playback whether it be the start, middle or near the end.

You're welcome. As to checking speed go to http://speedtest.net/ and it will choose the closest server for you. BTW, whatever you do, don't click on the robot icon that says "Start Scan" or MacKeeper below that. Only use the speed test in the middle that has the button BEGIN TEST on it. It will run a download speed test first and then an upload speed test. The download test will give a much faster response.

I haven't launched iMovie in a while, and I've used iPhoto to import many videos from my iPhone's Camera Roll since the last time I launched and used iMovie.
iMovie prompted me to create/update the thumbnails for my iPhoto videos, along with indicating no iPhoto videos will be available with iMovie until this is completed.
Not sure how to do this manually, but this may be your problem.
