How to play music over bluetooth on iPhone 3G

I have an iphone 3g and i have a plantronics voyager pro bluetooth, is there any way i can listen to my music either thru itunes or pandora box via bluetooth instead of using my earphone headset?? do i need the latest software or what? thanks

If you want a single earpiece that supports hands free calling as well as A2DP music, look at Jabra. Their BT530 (current model) and BT8040 (older model, but still available someplaces online) are regular single ear earpieces that support A2DP as well as. I have both and either works very well with my iPhone 3GS, although the newer BT530 has better volume (but actually does not fit quite as nicely in my ear as the older BT8040).

  • IPhone 4 iOS7: Playing music over bluetooth, short dropout during mp3-id-transfer

After upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS7, i have a little problem with the music-player.
I use it, playing music in my car over Bluetooth. Everytime a new song starts, I have a short dropout while my iPhone transfers the MP3 tag to my car's soundsystem. It would be no problem, if that happens before starting to play a song, but it starts to play for about half a second, then drops out, sends the tag and my soundsystem displays it, then continues playing.
I use a Renault Carminat soundsystem with TomTom-Navigation (all builtin).
    Any ideas?
Untagging the MP3-songs is out of discussion!
Buying iPhone 5s is in plan, but there must be another solution.

    Hi,
I'm from germany so no 'best buy' but I think I will lock around sleeve/bag for a different product with same measures. Any tip?
The clear plastic case is not what I want. I would like to use the player without such protections. I just want a sleeve to protect the player while its in my jacket/pants.
Btw, i have bought this version: Creative Zen (maybe european version?). I also doesn't seem to have your mentioned sleeve. I also couldn't find it on the website.
    Anyway, thank you,
    Chris

  • Cannot play music over bluetooth on BMW Connected system

I tried to connect my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1.2 (haven't updated to latest yet) to my fathers BMW system. It connects and pairs, and I can see my contacts and make calls, but I cannot play music. There is no option for anything regarding music or media, and simply playing something in the musicplayer on the iPhone while connected to the cars bluetooth only plays it using the phone speakers like normal.
I have a bluetooth stereo in my kitchen that works as soon as I connect to it. Only have to start any media player and the sound goes over the bluetooth. What am I missing here?

    Hey NerevarReborn,

  • IOS7 (iPad or iPhone) can't play music over airport

iOS7 (iPad or iPhone) can't play music over airport?  I don't see the little arro that let's me pick the airport for music to the audio system.

New way of doing this is to sweep your finger up from the bottom of the iPhone screen; you see a sort of control panel with things like airplane mode, bluetooth etc across the top. And 3/4 of the way down the little arrow thing you used to see beside in "music" to choose the AirPlay or Base Station.
    Not exactly intuitive.

  • My ipod touch 3rd generation jumps hrough tracks whilst streaming music over bluetooth to a sony device how can I fix this?

When streaming music over bluetooth from my 3rd generation ipod touch to a sony device it jumps every 10 seconds and not just when moving or anything other devices do not do this just the ipod how can I fix this?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset the Sony device
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to repair the device and rejoin all wifi networks
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Having a party - How can we play music from other people iPhones using apple tv?

We are having a party and want people to be able to play music from their own iphones/ipods using our apple tv. is this possible?

either mirror the iphone on to your apple tv or when they are logged into your internet via wifi. If they open their Itunes, the airplay button should appear for them. Just make sure they are connected to your network.

  • New update how to play music on apple tv

I just updated my iPhone 4 and now can't figure out how to play music or videos on my apple tv

iPhone 4 can AirPlay audio just fine, I'd forgotten that it can't do screen mirroring.  It's been so long since I had my iPhone 4 but I'm certain that some apps will allow video output over AirPlay (which is not the same as screen mirroring).  The stock iOS Photo and Video apps could stream pictures and video to ATV, but true mirroring of everything you see on the screen is not supported on iPhone 4.  It isn't iOS 7 that took away this capability, it is a capability that has always been limited with iPhone 4 (and earlier).
If you are sure that your old 3G can output video over AirPlay, which specific apps?  Those same apps should work on the iPhone 4, even with iOS 7.

  • Using airport disc as a music server, and playing music over airtunes

I know that I can put my itunes library on an external hard drive, and that I could access this external hard drive wirelessly if I attached it to an airport extreme. However, if i did this would I still be able to play music over airtunes. It seems that the music would have to be sent wirelessly from the drive to my macbook via the airport extreme, and then from there to the airport express and on to my amplifier. This seems convoluted. Would it work?

I think you are missing the point.
    1) It is fast enough. I've never had a problem doing anything I needed to. Also, there is nothing preventing you from hooking directly to the external hard drive for extended data transfers. And unless there is a serious problem, the wireless connection is faster than any burning speed. And it isn't wireless internet. The internet has nothing to do with this. 802.11n has typical throughput speeds of 70-80Mbps. That is a song a second or better.
    2) Actually, what gets kept on the shared volume is only the music. The library file, the artwork for albums and everything directly related to how iTunes understands the library remains on the internal drive under the user directory.
    3) This is true, but as soon as it regains contact everything is corrected. What is really nice, almost as if Apple intended for it to be so, is that any new songs brought into the library while contact is lost to the Airdisk can be consolidated by simply using the menu item ...consolidate library.
    4) Not close. If I gave up the hard drive space it takes to hold my music/video library on my internal hard drive I wouldn't have any space left. I'm thinking you interpreted the situation as referring to someone with a desktop computer. I think in that case, that unique case of a single desktop Mac household, then yes, of course, plug the external drive into the computer. In the other cases, where there are laptops involved, and more than one user, this is part of the beauty of the design of the whole system.
I suggest to you that your response is a very closed view of the possibilities that are possible. You may not see the benefits, but it is by no means pointless.

  • HT1420 how to transfer music and pictures from iphone to computer

how to transfer music and pictures from iphone to computer

If the music was purchased from iTunes then you should be able to copy them over to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases if you have iTunes 11 on your computer). If the music came from other sources and you don't have a copy of them anywhere else, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which might be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For photos taken with the phone then on a PC you can use the windows camera wizard, and on a Mac you can use Image Capture, iPhoto or Aperture : copying photos. To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

  • Can't browse internet while playing music over Airport Express

    Hello,
I have a 802.11n wireless network using a D-Link DIR-615 router. I have 2 AX's, one for the printer and one recently purchased to play music on my home stereo. The AX's are set to join the existing network.
I can play music over the AX just fine, and I can browse the internet wirelessly just fine.... but...
When I am playing music AND want to browse at the same time, I can do so for about a minute, at which point the internet stops working (I get time-outs) and a couple minutes later, the music also stops. To fix it, I have to turn off AirPort on my MacBook Pro (using the icon in the upper right of the screen), and then turn it back on.
Why is this happening? How do I fix it? I've tried changing the channel on the router. I suspect it's something to do with the router... but Apple folks are so much more helpful!

Based on the information in your posts, you are likely encountering a signal strength issue, an interference issue with another wireless network or device, or a combination of the two.
iStumbler will help with identifying one or both of these potential issues.
When you open the application, check your signal strength. If you have a "good" signal, your wireless signal strength will appear in green. If it's yellow, you have a marginal signal, red, etc. If your signal is not in the green area, you need to position the router and Express closer together or try to eliminate any obstructions between devices as much as possible. A typical sheet rock and stud wall will on average, absorb about 15-20% of your signal.
Then look for other wireless networks that may be displayed in the iStumbler window. Any visible network that is using the same channel or a close adjacent channel as your wireless is a likely cause of interference. If you see this, change the channel on your router to see if you can find better airspace.
You may need to experiment with this a bit, as most modern routers allow a user to "hide" their network. So, it's quite possible that another network that you cannot see is interfering with your signal. All you can really do is keep trying different channels until you find a better setting or run out of channels.

  • How to play music through my external hard drive through iTunes on my mac?

I recently purchased a external hard drive for my mac for my movies and music, as my disc was almost full.
I have spent HOURS searching how to play music through my itunes without transferring them onto the mac.
BUT everytime I click media destination folder in prefrences and advance, the whole music library in my external hard drive folder is  greyed out, and when i click it nothing happens.
    PLEASE someone help...

First, a brand new drive is likely formatted for use with Windows.  You need to reformat it for use with Mac.
Pondini: Formatting,  Partitioning, Verifying,  and  Repairing  Disks... - http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/DU.html
Second, you are better off moving the whole iTunes library to the external drive, not just the media.
iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.
Do not confuse moving your whole folder and library with moving just media files as in
iTunes for Mac: Moving your iTunes Media folder - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1449
