How to play musics by folder[Zen Wa

Hello, recently got my Wav ,and while playing musics, i realised all my songs are jumbled up even when i categorise them in folder inside music folder. For example English; Male; Female; and etc.
I wanted them to play folder by folder, is it possible?
Or will there be further upgrade to firmware that can allow this?

if you're being tired of tagging all IDs, i suggest you to tag albums only, then finding songs by "Music->Album" is just like the wayby folder.

First, a brand new drive is likely formatted for use with Windows. You need to reformat it for use with Mac.

Second, you are better off moving the whole iTunes library to the external drive, not just the media.

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.
Do not confuse moving your whole folder and library with moving just media files as in

How to play music from iPod through Windows Media Player

I don't want to insult anyone's intelligence .... but just in case anyone hasn't yet figured it out, here's how to play music from your iPod on a computer that does not have iTunes installed:
On your computer, connect the iPod to iTunes and click on it's name. Then under the general tab, check "allow disk use". Your iPod will then act as a USB hard drive and will then show up as a drive in My Computer. Now all you need to do is to create a Music folder on it and then copy all your music to it!
Your iPod's USB hard drive should show up under My Computer on most Windows computers. Therefore providing the computer has Windows Media Player installed, you will be able to play all your music on it! This saves you having to bother with portable/travel speakers, some of which sound terrible anyway!

I just updated my iPhone 4 and now can't figure out how to play music or videos on my apple tv

iPhone 4 can AirPlay audio just fine, I'd forgotten that it can't do screen mirroring. It's been so long since I had my iPhone 4 but I'm certain that some apps will allow video output over AirPlay (which is not the same as screen mirroring). The stock iOS Photo and Video apps could stream pictures and video to ATV, but true mirroring of everything you see on the screen is not supported on iPhone 4. It isn't iOS 7 that took away this capability, it is a capability that has always been limited with iPhone 4 (and earlier).
If you are sure that your old 3G can output video over AirPlay, which specific apps? Those same apps should work on the iPhone 4, even with iOS 7.

How to play music from ZEN?? HELP PLEAS

Ok, I brought my ZEN 8GB to work today, thinking of listening to some songs while working. Please note that I'm not allowed to install any software onto my workplace's PC. So, I plugged in my ZEN to the USB port. Driver installs. Then, I went to my ZEN's Music folder, selected all the mp3 and hit Enter. Instead of playing the music in WMP, it created a playlist for me. I can only play one song at a time by right-clicking the song and click Open/Play. I tried to load the playlist, which is .pla format, into WMP but WMP returned me an error message instead.
Please help me with this! I really wanna listen to music from my ZEN through the PC!

Are you deleting songs Playlist are lists tied to songs
If you sync with your player and have nothing on your PC then I believe your PC would be updated with the latest data.
In any case PLEASE backup your music before attemping anything on this company PC.
PLEASE Check under WMP Sync menue and find the help files.
Normally, under zen explorer there is a sync manager in task bar which you could set up the
direction for synchronization - I normally have mine ALWAYS FROM THE DEVICE TO THE COMPUTER AND IN THE MANUAL MODE.
What is so hard in your case is that you have no control over the computer you are using (Company PC) by being able to have
the proper drivers and latest WMP software installed.

I have NAS in my home network and would like to play music stored on NAS to play in iTunes on MAC; iPad2, iPhone4 and PC which has Windows 7.
I have already changed iTunes Media folder location under 'Advanced' pointing to NAS music folder. Once all this done, I see exclamation i in front of the every song in iTunes.
Can some one please help me. I went to Apple store and ask this question, but no one seems to able to help me.

Just seeing this as I was browsing for a way to stream music from my NAS drive to an airplay capable receiver. I've been using the "filebrowser" app on my iPad and iPhone 4 and am very happy with it. It allows me to access my NAS drive from both devices and stream music and video to said devices. For example: I dock my phone in the kitchen and use filebrowser to play music directly from the NAS...it works great. I also use it to stream bike training videos to my iPad while I'm riding on a trainer in my basement. The native controls are very user friendly for both mp3's and video mp4's. I'm not huge on apple programs(iTunes for music playback) as they are usually restrictive and don't play nicely with other non apple devices...for $3, filebrowser should do the trick for you....now I have to figure out how to stream from the NAS to a pioneer brand airplay capable receiver without using iTunes.

Hi and thanks for sharing. Trying to figure out how to play sound files such as wavs or mp3s on my ipad2 while I browse the internet or use my computer. I was trying to see if the music feature will play my songs or if I can import downloaded files from the net to itunes and if that will play in the background. I have an audio program that can send sound files to email and was trying to figure out how, similarly, to get this play in the background while I do things too. That and sound files downloaded from the internet. Do these go to iCloud when you download them? Can I import sounds into itunes with my iPad someway. (It's the only computer or device I own). Basically looking for a pathway to get music from my audio program that's sent to email, and clips I've DLed off sites on the internet, to play while I use the pad or browse the net. The only way to get content into the Music app is via iTunes store downloads or syncing with itunes on a computer. You will need to find a third party media player such as VLC (whick integrates with DropBox and GoogleDrive, if that appeals to you).

The situation is this: I can play music in Ryhthmbox that is on my hard disk (copied over from other distro) and am listening to jazz as I write this), but I can not put a CD into my dvd drive and play a music CD. I would like to rip it to disk using Rhythmbox as I have done in the past but it seems impossible in Arch. I am using Xfce4.
If I insert a music CD just now, Totem starts up and then tells me that there is no media in drive for device '/dev/sr0'. Well, how did it know I inserted a CD in the drive for crying out loud?
Any ideas out there?

The value of the Channel Strip volume etc is not stored within the C Strip setting, as you have discovered.
If you really wanted, you could add a Gain plug to the strip, with it set to give the correct output level with the Fader set to 0

I wanted to give a big thanks to all that gave me great and very needed help. I wanted to let everyone know that. I did fix my problom with get music out of my computer and into my stereo. Here is how I did it. If you already have a stereo with a RCA line in you are good to go. All you need is a hifi-link I got one from circuit city. With it you can take the music from your computer be PC or Mac and play it though your stereo but again your stereo must have a audio in for you to get music to come though your stereo or at least it was the only way I could get it to work for me. Oh and you will need a free USB port on your computer for the hifi-link to hook to see it dose not us your computers audio card. Instead it go's though your USB. It work just great. But you should read on the back of the box or when you are looking for iy on the net make shour it will work with your computer some older systems it will not work with.
I have been needing a new stereo for sometime now. I really like shelf stereo systems. So I got me a Sony MHC-GX570XM. Now it sells for $249.95. Now I did a search for this system and the only plays I could find that sells it was Sony. Now here is the kicker I went to Sams with my Dad. We had stoped to look a the flat screen TVs. As we were walking away from the electronics. I saw it as plain has day there it was in all it glory. Now the crazy thing is this system was not on there web site though it could be now. But when I was looking for this cool system they did not have it on there web site. I got this system for get this $199 thats like I think $50 off the asking price. Now I would have been more then happy to pay the $249.95. I liked to have had a fit right there in the store LOL. I thought I was going to have to order it online. If I had did that I would had haved to pay even more with s/h...
Now two of the big reasons I got this system was for the PC/line in or you can hook up a MP3 player and play it though the system very cool. Sec reason It has to cassettes decks 1 plays and the other recordes. The really cool thing is it is XM radio ready. Though you will need a XM membership and a XM antina. But from what I have read thats all you need. It also has a 3 CD changer that swivals. It has so many cool thing I can not name them all. Now this system my not be for everyone. But it dose all that I need and more. Also it really helps to have a hifi-link so you can hook it to your computer the easy way and not have to go though your sound card.
