How to Play Only 1 song from a playlist??????
I have tried and tried but can not seem to find a option that allows you to start one song and then stop at the end of that song without running into the next track. What is up with this apple? I know it's an old function for most other programs, why not keep it? Can anyone shed some light on this?
Untick all the tracks, then iTunes will only play the track you select.

How do you delete a song from a playlist in iTunes?
I feel stupid asking this question but how do you delete a song from a playlist? right clicking doesn't give a menu option to do it, and neither does the file menu. The highlight/delete option doesn't work either.
Also, I've ended up with several copies of the same songs in my library . Can i delete the excess tracks in one go without highlighting them?
Thanks,
DomOption-delete will remove a selected track from a playlist AND the library. Delete will just remove the track from a regular playlist.
Yes, you need to highlight all the songs you want to delete. Sort your library by song title. This should put all the dups together for easy highlighting and deleting. -

My apple tv continues to play the same song from a playlist that is on shuffle. Is there a setting I need to adjust?
I do not see anything there. I have a left arrow and song title on top with a list icon. Nothing on the bottom but the direction arrows, pause button and volume.

How can I bulk delete songs from the playlist, if original file could not be found.
I deleted the original files from the Library iTines. The songs are still in the playlist. How can I bulk delete songs from the playlist, if original file could not be found. Thank.
Take a look at my FindTracks script. Download it and test it out on a few tracks first. Use the No option first time around to manually confirm each path that it wants to fix so you can see how it works. When you're happy it does what you want select a larger group of tracks to process automatically.

How can I get my iPad to play just one song from my playlist and then stop automatically?
I am a music teacher and I use the iPod on my iPad to play songs in class. I have a long playlist of songs to choose from in each class, and I want to play just one song at a time. I want to be able to start one song from my playlist and then walk away from my iPad and have it stop automatically when that song is over. (I know how to make it repeat the same song over and over, but tha'ts not what I need. I also know how to push "pause," but I don't want to have to walk away from the children to do it.) How can I make it play one song from a playlist at a time?
I don't believe that there is a way to do that except, perhaps, creating a separate Playlist for each song.

Automatically playing a single song from a playlist
Is there a way to set the iPod to play only a single selection from a playlist then stop; i.e. not going on to the next playlist selection?
I want to use the iPod in performances but cannot have it advancing to (and playing) the next song on my playlist. I need it to simply play the track I select, then stop until I play another track.
Help please!

www.magic4laughs.comYou could put each song in it's own playlist. Then the song would stop at the end. When you want to go on to the next song, move to the next playlist and press play.

How can i remove one song from a playlist on the iPod?
I would like to remove a single song from a playlist. When i connect to my laptop and click manually mangage music, i don't see an option for deleting a song. I can click on the song, but delete does not work. I also tried dragging to the trash, also unsuccessful.
If you want to delete songs directly from the iPod, it needs to be set to Manually manage music on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes. If you are using automatic syncing, you cannot delete songs directly from the iPod; instead, you update (remove songs from) the playlist(s) being synced to the iPod.
If the iTunes sidebar (left side of iTunes window) is visible, select the iPod under the heading DEVICES. If the sidebar is hidden, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
Click on the small triangle to the left of the iPod's name, to drop down the iPod's content list, indented under the iPod. Click on Music there. Over to the right, you see the list of songs currently on the iPod. If the iPod is set to Manually manage music, you should be able to delete songs from that list. Select the song (or set of songs) you want to delete, and press Delete on the keyboard. -
My Music app in Suffle Mode plays only 2 songs of any playlist and stops
This problem starts after updating to iOS 5. In Continuos Mode all the songs of my differents playlist plays correctly.
Only in Suffle Mode it plays 2 or 3 songs and freezes and the forward and backward buttons doesn´t works.
I have to restart de app to start listening the songs, but only in continuos mode.Do you have disk use enabled? If so, maybe too much space is allocated to disk use. Check this in iTunes when the iPod is connected by clicking on the settings tab. If you are not using the iPod as a storage device you can turn this option off.

How to convert an iTune song from a playlist to MP3?
Can someone recommend a third-party software program that will convert an iTune song to MP3. I have a song I need to convert to email to someone. I thought that Roxio would do it but the upgrade is far too expensive. Thanks.
Then you'll have to find your answer elsewhere. I will not be party to it and discussions about removing the DRM are prohibited by the Terms of Use of these fourms.

How do i remove purchased songs from my playlist
I have 1 playlist designated for my iPhone. All songs purchased on iTunes show up on my phone, regardless of whether they are on that playlist or not. I'm sure there's a setting I'm missing!
On the iPhone: You can swipe to the right on the song you want to delete. Then tap the Delete botton.
In iTunes: Go to: iTunes > Prefrences > Store. Turn off "Automatic Downloads". -
How do I play all my songs from a specific genre on new Iphone IOS 7?
Before the upgrade to IOS 7, I could play only the songs from a specific genre. Now, I cannot find any options that will let me do that.
Hello bulten2112,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To get your previously purchased content into iTunes you can go about it two different ways. The first way and preferred method is to download your previous purchases. The second option is to transfer your purchases from a device.
Download past purchases - Apple Support
Re-download or transfer your iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone, iPad or iPod to a computer - Apple Support
