Could somebody please provide information on how I can listen to sirius radio on a mac. This is my first mac computer

I might add, this will only open non-encrypted video files. If you need to access encrypted files you'll need to install Windows on your Mac with one of the options listed for Intel Macs on my FAQ:

Sirius radio on a mac

I subscribe to sirius radio, and was able to play it over my dell pc's, which I have since given away.
I tried streaming it through my mac, but got one message saying that safari isnt supported, and that I should try windows media player. I downloaded that, than tried streaming sirius again through that program, only to get a second message from WMP that " the file format is not supported". Any suggestions?

Why don't you simply download one of the apps for listening to Sirius? You'll find them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

Playing Sirius Radio on iPhone

Hello,
I have a Sirius radio account in my car and also have it on my PC and iPhone.
I can pull up the sirius page and enter the name and password, and it even shows that it is playing, but I cannot hear it. When I stick the ear buds in, all I get is music from my ipod.
Does anyone know how to get around that so I can listen to satilite radio on my iPhone?

You don't hear any audio because there is no Windows Media plugin for Safari mobile.
The only workaround currently is using a combination of uSirius and Orb. This workaround requires you keep a PC running at home to manage the streams.

Solution: How to play web radio with N97

Since Nokia is reluctant to offer its Internet Radio player for the N97 we have to look for other apps. I now found one that is able to play web radio: LCGjukebox from lonelycatgames.com.
They have a manual how to use web radio stations with their app at:

I just tried it with http://www.munich-radio.de:8000/listen.pls and it works just fine. I think you have to pay for the app, I don't know how much, I will still have to look. But it surely is worth it.

Before I purchased the Linksys WHA I checked out the radiotime.com website. From that website I could access and listen to all the internet radio stations that I was interested in. This included local radio stations and Island 98.5 in Hawaii, which we listened to while we were on vacation there. Based on this I figured that the Linksys version of RadioTime would also be able to access these stations. I was wrong about that. I am not able to access 2-3 local radio stations, nor Island 98.5.
I'm not sure why this is the case. My presumption is that when the code for the current version of the Cisco Media Server/Player was written they hardwired all the radio stations available in RadioTime at that time. I'm hoping that the next upgrade of the media server/player will include all the current internet radio stations I have access to at radiotime.com.

How to play media to tv from mac

Hi all, this is my first time (only my third ever) on apple support communities, so please excuse my ignorancel
I have spent hours online trying to figure out how to veiw media content on my Panasonic Viera 42" hdtv from my imac , with out any real luck.
I have figured out how to watch Panasonics own content through the Viera connect feature on the tv.
The thing im having most trouble with is connecting my 27"imac to the tv to play content downloaded from the internet such as avi files, camera movies and the like.
Someone suggested a free open source set up called xbmc which i have installed but i dont know how to configure it to connect to the tv. Or am i trying to be too adventurous as a first timer and need to concentrate on a simpler option.
And finally if i do take the latter option, do i need to configure the imac to act as a server and if so how do i do that?

Im not exacly sure what year the imac is i cant seem to find it anywhere.
I bought the machine last year on apples refurbished site. Someone at Apple support suggested once that it maybe a 2010 model. In system profiler there is a thunderbolt tab in the left hand pane but it says there are no drivers loaded. Does that mean that thunderbolt is on the mac but i must install the drivers? If so, is it all plug and play after that or do i need to configure it all manually? If so coyuld you please point me in the right direction for instructions on how to do it. My tv for instance is saying that it cant find a server. As for vlc player, i use it all the time.Dont know what ide do without it !

I recently bought on-line a Apple Mac computer that I call the space ship becasue of its design. I actually love the design but am unable to download anything that will allow me to play games on Facebook, such as Bingo Blitz, Criminal Case, adn Super HD Bingo. Any syggestions. Seems you bought a very old Mac and it is already at the end of its life.
The G-5 processor can't be upgraded and the OS is from 2007:

I am trying to play videos from a security camera. It has a BK installer which has an .exe file to play .ssf format. I have tried WINE but I wan not able to view the vdeos. Any suggestions?

The iOS 7 is only for iPods, iPhones and iPads. It is not for Macs.

Never heard of an scm video-so I googled it.
It is either a console video game ROM emulator, a superchain video file(which means DRM) or a Starcraft map file.
Only hint for playing the superchain one was use a windows machine, windows media player with some obscure plugin for .scm playback.
I'm afraid since this is a very obscure format/codec-you may be out of luck.

I found a bit of info regarding FM setup.If you have a TV tuner provided with your system,
you must set the TV tuner input signal to analog. I guess you may use windows media center to use FM stations.however keep some points to note.
In the following two situations, you must re-save a channel list:
a. When you change your TV signal from digital to analog, your saved channel
list for digital TV is deleted. When you want to watch digital TV again, you
must create and save a new channel list.
b. When you change your TV signal from analog to digital, your saved channel
list for analog TV is deleted. When you want to watch analog TV again, you
must create and save a new channel.
• Before you can listen to FM, you must set the TV tuner input signal to analog.
• Before you can watch teletext programming, you must set the TV tuner input
signal to analog
For accessing radio through media center:
1.On the start screen, scroll to Music, click radio, and then click FM Radio.
2.To let Windows Media Center find a radio station, under Seek or Tune, click - or + to find available stations. If you know the frequency of the station, enter the numbers using the numeric keypad on the remote control or on the keyboard
3.Use the on-screen transport controls in the bottom right of the screen to control playback, including changing channels, adjusting volume, and pausing or stopping playback.
To edit an existing radiostation:
On the start screen, scroll to Music, click radio, click presets, and then click the preset you want to edit.
To edit the frequency of the preset, under Tune, click the - or + button and then click Save as Preset.
To edit the name of the preset, click Edit Preset. On the Edit Preset screen, enter your changes, and then click Save.
To create FM radio station presets
On the start screen, scroll to Music, click radio, and then click FM Radio.
Under Seek or Tune, click - or + to find a radio station you want.
Once you find a station you like, click Save as Preset.
Enter the name of the station, and then click Save.
