What model MacBook Pro do you have? On my late 2011, I used to use a Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter to get video and audio from my Mac to my television. I used this adapter from Monoprice. Worked great - I just no longer use it because I bought a 27" monitor.
You can also use AirPlay mirroring if you've the right MBP and an Apple TV - but the wired method works, too.

Click on the SD card that appears on your desktop until you get to the DCIM folder. Click on folder until you get to the movie files. Drag these files onto your desktop. You can erase the ones on your SD card if you do not want to same them on there.
Depending on the movie file types you should be able to play them w/either QT 10, QT 7.x or VLC. It helps to have Perian installed.
Also, helps if you would advise us which OS is installed on your MBP and which model MBP you have. Some come w/a built-in SD slot, others you will need a card reader.

I used to have an app which allowed me to play videos from the "Videos" app on my ipod touch 4th gen. But the other day I had to wipe my ipod and can no longer get this app. Is there any other app which imports your videos from the "videos" app or is there a way to play videos in the background using the "videos" app.

You can only play videos in the Videos app when the Video app is on the screen. Video, and any audio with it, do not play when using another app.
You can try changing the Media Kind in Get Info>Option in iTunes on the computer to Music Video and see if that works

I found your question while researching another one on the same topic. I found it hard to believe that iPad videos could not be transfered to a computer!
I made a short video on my iPad 2. It showed up in the Photos camera roll.
Running iPhoto and connecting the iPad to my Mac Pro, I selected the iPad under DEVICES. The video was at the end of the photos, I selected it and clicked on "Import Selected". I then dragged the imported video to my desktop and it played in QuickTime Player when I double-clicked it.
Then I tried it with Aperture. The dragged copy appeared to play in QuickTime Player, but the screen was black. However an Exported Version played correctly.

I'm trying to get a video that I recorded and edited with my iPhone 4 and iMovie, on my PC so I can share it with others. It won't email because the file size is too big (but the video is only 1:20...) and I uploaded it to YouTube but they removed the audio because it's copyright infringment. I've going through My Computer and a few other things and all the photos get imported but when I try and play an imported video it won't load and just freezes. Any tips?

Time Warner App How to play video to PS3?

I have the Time Warner(TW) app on my 5th gen Touch. How can I play video from TW app into ps3? I have iMediashare app but the progamming available on that is not as complete as the TW app.
What I am trying to do for example is watch an entire season of Homeland on my tv through PS3. I can watch it all on my Touch but cannot stream the video to the ps3. I know many will say go to Sony PS3 board but we are talking about Apple product and apps so thats why I am here. iMediashare WORKS (watching it right now) but again avail library is limited to 1 episode.

I just got an iPod video and it won't let me put my video recordings from my digital camera on it. I got this camera about six months ago and it will play through Windows Media Player but will not on iTunes. What's weird is that my iTunes plays videos from my really old digital camera.
Does anyone know how I can play my videos?

Playing video from a capture device - Out of memory for video buffers?

Hello guys, I'm having problems playing video from a video capture device when not using JMStudio. When I use JMStudio, the video plays real time with no problems, but when I use code taken from a java book which is a simple Media Player, I get the following error:
"Error is Error: Out of memory for video buffers."
My capture device is working and I don't know why i get this error when trying to watch the video feed from a program other than JMStudio. I also tried different code that has worked in the past with the same exact capture device and I still get the same error. Please help, I have no clue at this point. The code for the simple media player is below, it's taken out of the book "Java: How to Program (4th edition)":
