kind of. It does spawn a new window, which is great (thanks!). But it seems to be at a lower resolution - does iTunes compress further or display at lower res? What is the function that people are supposed to be able to use to use iTunes as a media center to watch movies?

There is a standalone Flash Player, but that's something Adobe provides directly as a feature of Flash CS4 Professional. It gets installed with Flash. i have purchased a new imac(intel) just four days back. i want to know what is the method for playing videow with mkv format.

It could be a 'difficult' form of Matroska file. FYI Matroska is just a container like MOV or AVI, and some mkv have the video encoded with Real Video Codec (RV9 RV10). Perian+QT can't decode this, but VLC will play .mkv files just fine on OS X, as long as they don't use H.264!
It's a bit of a lottery until Matroska decide to support the Apple platform. I have found this:

But there may be another workaround: 1. Get Info the mkv file
2. Change to extension to wmv. Save as wmv and that could work better.

How do I free up 'Other' Space on my iPod Touch?

So I just bought an 8GB iPod Touch 4 today, and while syncing my music and downloading apps, I noticed there was a chunk of space called "Other" on my iPod (Shows in iTunes) That takes up a large 0.9 GB. Since my iPod is an 8GB and I want to keep the space as open as possible, I did short research on how I could get rid of this. So I have a few questions:
1. Can anyone confirm that this method still works? The article was posted in 2009, and I am wondering if it is outdated and won't work.
2. Step 3 on the page says "Click on the Sync button in the bottom right corner, don't cancel the backup." I click "Sync" in the bottom right corner, it loads something for a second, then nothing happens. Is this normal? If I follow the rest of the steps, will my Apps still be there?
3. Are there any other methods that I could use to free up "Other" space? I want to keep all my apps (I can put my music/videos back in later) because I paid money for them, and I'm scared I might lose them if I do something wrong.

2/3. To make sure all of your apps are synced on to your computer, disconnect your device from your computer. Then look on the Applications page of iTunes, if they are there, that means that all of your paid apps have been backed up on to your computer and you are safe to restore.

Whenever, I have pages open or any other app I press the home button twice, and then I swipe to the right and obtain the menu that allows me to alter brightness or sound. At this point I press play and nothing works. However, once I go back to my youtube page, and press the play button then it works. If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated. in finder do your username under places then library then application support then MobileSync then Backups
the shortest folder name should be the UDID
of course that assumes it ever made a backup...
if it made more than one there will be some -date-blah on the end...

No, you still have the same problem. MPEG-4 files are non-editable. You really need to convert to an editable format and then bring that into FCP. MPEG Streamclip is going to be your best choice.
