How to play YouTube videos in HD on iPhone over cellular?

Does anyone know how to play YouTube videos using the Google YouTube app in HD on the iPhone over cellular? I'm asking because I have an iPhone 5 with a large LTE data plan, which I don't mind using a bit more data for better clearity on the videos. I know in the past people have suggested to use YouTube in the Safari broswer to view videos in HD, but I find it to be non-consistant. Anyone have a better idea how to watch YouTube videos in HD on iPhone/iPad over cellular (3G/LTE)?

Did you use iAD to create the widget? If you did... then there support group should have answers.
If you used one of the widgets in iBA - as you have had no suggestion for a fix... you will need to contact iBooks support.

It would seem to be related to your use of You Tube and Vimeo content or maybe its how you put the widget content together.

Other internet content would need to be through Airplay (IOS device) or mirroring (recent IOS devices or Macs)

Here is the latest information i received from the C2-01 unit:
I expect the new SW to be available for C2-01 very soon.
Youtube videos cannot be played in Airtel India network (X2-
00) and also for C2-01.
When trying to play videos from Youtube
(http://www.youtube.com) while using Airtel India network,
error message is displayed (e.g. "No response. Try again", or
"Unable to open file", or "Operation failed").
If this error is persistent, refer to solution described below.
If the error happens only temporarily, this is due to non-
optimal network coverage and cannot be fixed in the device.
Solution:
Default access point (APN) "Airtel Live!" is not suitable for
streaming videos from Youtube.
Perform the following steps in order to change the APN
manually:
Go to main menu -> press "Menu" -> "Settings" ->
"Configuration" -> "Preferred access pt." -> choose "Mobile
Office" (instead of "Airtel Live!") -> press "Select".
In case there is no APN named "Mobile Office" to choose,
please contact your operator to get APN settings directly.
If you get APN information as plain text, values must be
entered manually by selecting "Personal config. sett." in
"Configuration" menu. After having entered the correct values,
the newly created APN must be activated as described above.
Note: using a different APN than preconfigured by your
operator may result in high costs if not covered by your data
plan. If in doubt, check your contract details with your
operator before manually activating new APN settings!

How do I stop Thunderbird playing youtube videos in a tab

For ages I've been trying to get Thunderbird to work how it used to work but I seem to be fighting a loosing battle. I have done everything I can do to try and stop Thunderbird from ever using tabs. The latest thing I'm trying to stop is Thunderbird playing YouTube videos in a tab. Often I get emails with videos in them that play really small. If I click in the fullscreen option in the video it doesn't work and I've no idea why? So I click on the YouTube link in the video and I want it to open in Firefox. But instead it opens in a tab. This would be okay except that it plays really slowly and I can't reposition the tab. This is one of the reasons why I hate tabs in Thunderbird. I want to read things (or watch videos) in the centre of my screen, not where Thunderbird decides to open a tab, which is usually in the top right of my screen. With a very large screen it is much more frustrating than it would be on a laptop or other small screen.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this?
Another thing I would like to fix is the search function. I use search all the time and it is very powerful/useful. But again, when I click on the search results it opens the result in a tab. It would be okay if it opened a tab in the search results window but it opens the tab in the main Thunderbird window. It may also be okay if search opened a tab. But opening search in a new window and then showing the search items in a tab on the main window is just so frustrating. It almost makes me want to stop using search. I looked at using X Search Desktop for search but it no longer supports Thunderbird.
Again, can someone please tell me how to fix this?
I absolutely love Thunderbird but I really wish it were possible to roll back the changes that have been made in a number of areas. I spend so much time looking for add-ons just to get it back to how it used to be. With every new version there seems to be another change to the interface. I have to use "manually sort folders" just to get the folders to be in the order I want them. Like everyone else I want the security fixes that come with new versions but I don't want interface changes forced on me for no reason.
But now so many add-ons seem to stop working with each new release. I used to have an add-on that provided two simple buttons to increase/decrease the text size of incoming emails/RSS feeds. It also allowed me to set the font size/type I wanted for each incoming email/RSS feed and overide whatever was originally set. That stopped working a while back and I'd love to know if there is an alternative. Some RSS feed fonts are now set for smart phones and are simply massive in Thunderbird.
If anyone can help me with these issues I'd be most grateful.

Does anybody know how to make youtube videos play when clicked on the thumbnails in the video gallery? I have added the auto play function in the iframe code

for both videos but both videos play at the same time. The videos stop playing at the same time when once clicked on one of the thumbnails.

How to download youtube videos to ipad without using a computer??? Looking to download some videos people created using Dr. Jean music. My kid used Dr. Jean in preschool and wanted to keep singing them at home.
Looking for a friend that doesn't use a computer. I myself have downloaded some kids educational stuff and added to itunes and then put on ipod/ipad using firefox.
Is there an easy way, so they don't go to the photo roll??

There are some Apps you can use, but be careful they will only download these videos inside the App, so you won't ba able to play them in your video app or share them.
Most popular is the app called "Video Download" but there are a lot of alternatives for free and even with more quality which you can pay for.

Unable to play youtube videos after OS 10.2.1.2977 update

Hi, I got an OS update two days back "10.2.1.2977". after updating, all the data in my memory card got wiped off and I am unable to play youtube videos both in browser and Supertube/fasttube apps, it's showing as "Error1: Internal" I tried rebooting but the problem is still there. Alternatively, you can use an autoloader to reload the software.

My iPad quit playing YouTube videos and iheart radio

My iPad no longer plays YouTube videos and I Heart radio. This started after a recent update to the iOS. Any ideas on how to fix?

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

Safari randomly stopped playing Youtube videos

Just the other day Safari stopped playing Youtube videos. I have tried running safari in 32bit mode but nothing. I would appreciate any info or help, thanks.

I went to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and found that I was part of the HTML5 trial for YouTube and that YouTube videos should be playing via HTML5 and not Flash.
I left the HTML5 trial so that the video were being played by nasty old Flash... Guess what, it works.
Videos are now playing normally using Flash.
My suggestion is go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and see if you are part of the HTML5 trial also, if you are, leave the trial and see how you go.

Blackberry having trouble playing youtube videos

I own a blackberry curve 8530 and its having trouble playing youtube videos. It plays youtube videos up to 59 seconds and then it stops. It gives me the same error message saying:
"An error has occured attempting to play the media".
I have tried turning on and off my phone, pressing alt+enter+del, and doing the battery pull. None of those methods have worked.
Has anyone had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it? Ive pretty much have tried everything i could think of and none of the forums seems to have a solution.
Is the phone the problem or is youtube?
If you know of the solution, your help will be greatly appreciated.

I can't watch YouTube Videos on my IPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1 No jailbreak) The Debug Console from Safari tells me, that there's a mistake in the JavaScript. How to fix it? I already spoke with Google, but they didn't have a problem. I can open other website and by example videos from Vimeo, but I can't play YouTube-Videos.

Maybe this topic is like others in this forum, but... i will give you my point, answer and question...
Well... example:
1. In our empty application project lets put in default.html:
<iframe width="500" height="412" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tDBSa5TMX2Y?html5=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
2. In package.appmanifest lets add in Content URIs this lines:
https://*.youtube.com
(https://*.soundcloud.com - if you use soundcloud iframe)
welll. If you make this- try- you will find that youtube video was loaded in html5 (or soundcloud).
The problem is only in youtube video- when i click play- nothings happened. Is there something else? Why cant play Youtube video? If i try with soundcloud- everything is ok and works perfect.
Can you give me some ideas how to youtube play?

Lets give a summary - what you will do to put youtube clip in your app (windows 8.1):
First way is with webview controller- just put in code:
<x-ms-webview src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tDBSa5TMX2Y?html5=1"></x-ms-webview>
Second way is with iframe... when content come from ajax or some api. To do this, your youtube embed code must contain param html5=1. Steps are:
1. In package app manifest (package.appxmanifest) you must add Content URIs like :
https://*.youtube.com and include it. If you use SoundCloud iframe- add another line with
https://*.soundcloud.com
2. Just add line with iframe :
<iframe width="500" height="412" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tDBSa5TMX2Y?html5=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And thats it. If content comes from ajax (API)- you must "escape" it ... something like this:
MSApp.execUnsafeLocalFunction(function () {
element.html('<iframe src="youtube"... etc');
That it is.
I have some issue with my old apps - youtube iframe and elements comes but after click play - nothings happened. In this case- just create new blank app and try it. Video will play :)
