How to plot route or change route on HERE Maps on ...

My Nokia Lumia came with HERE Maps. I have the latest update.
So I decided I'd get directions to some place and HERE maps gave me those directions. Not bad.
Upon closer inspection, I realize the route given is not quite the one I wish to navigate so try changing it a little but.....there's no way to change the route?
Am I too stupid to figure this out (I hope this is indeed the case) or do I have to switch back to Google maps?
Thanks for your time.

There is no option to change the route manually at the moment. However, you can influence the route by changing the Route Optimisation settings. To do this, after specifying your destination and just before you tap the Start button,  you will see a row of icons above the Start button. Tap this to change the settings.
Here Drive+ is still beta so things will still change before the final release. In the mean time, you can always use Google if it suits you better.

  • Planning a route for HERE Maps/Drive+ Beta

    I would like to plan a route with multiple route points in advance and save the planned route to HERE Maps or HERE Drive+ Beta. Is that possible?
    The route can be made with here.com webpage, but is it possible to import a route to my Lumia 920? When the route is saved to a collection in my nokia account, it is not shown in the mobile phone.
    Phone: Lumia 920
    Software: The newest

    Sorry, I'd like to unresolve this. The workaround mentioned is not a solution.
    I travel to loads of places by motorcycle, and going off the beaten track is wonderful. Since I upgraded My E6-00 and C7-00 to a Lumia 920, I'm back to allowing the SatNav (phone) to decide where I go. Boring dual carriageways and bypasses are now my natural habitat - bah humbug. Afterall, the phone is in my pocket (safe from weather), headphones in my helmet - I can't constantly look at a map. Having multiple 'favourites' and planning from one to the next isn't workable. Fair enough the Lumia 920 is usable with gloves on (major plus for a biker, come on you marketing people!) but I don't fancy re-routing all the time by the side of a road.
    I'm also planning a charity cycle ride over 100s of miles this Summer, and while that can be done in BikeRouteToaster, Google Maps etc, there is no import function into 'HERE' that I can see. It's impossible to plan a route on the device itself. Yes it can route walker (I can't seem to get turn by turn working for that, but nevermind), public transport and car, I have an option to avoid motorways etc, but cycle route planning needs consideration for height metres, unpaved/paved roads (Google StreetView etc used a lot to find a Sustrans route is actually unfit for road bikes) etc. So.. Importing a route planned elsewhere (gpx, kml or something) would be a real alternative, or a workaround. Asking the device to do its own planning from one point to another really isn't workable.
    Please make the Nokia's USP an actual USP again?

  • How to save a location on Here Maps on Lumia

    How do I save a specific location on Here Maps?
    I would like to save my current location which is identified by the green halo on the map. Example - I went for the first time to a friend's place and I would like to be able to save this location to my favourites.
    On my previous phone which had Nokia Maps you could save a location but I can't see a similar option on the Here Maps. Thanks in advance for your help/suggestion. I am using a Lumia 520.

  • How to re-route source & gate for Buffered Period in DAmx

    I am trying to write a DAQmx program that does the follow :
    (1) creates 1 PulseTrain task; this task routes is output to a requested pin with will be used as a SOURCE for a Buffered Period task.
    (2) if requested creates a second PulseTrain who's output will be used as the Buffered Period GATE.
    (3) the Buffered period task needs to assign ANY SOURCE,GATE and run till its stopped by the user.
    Note that this task needs to "sample/read" its data and show it to the user.
    My questions are :
    (a) is the PulseTrain "output" re-route done OK ?
    (b) how to re-route the Period source/gate - I used DAQmxSetChanAttribute, but I an not sure it is right
    ©) how to make the Period task write the data into "my program buffer" so I do not have to read it when "stop" is pressed.
    I try to run with simulated devices on a P4 3.2GHZ running XP :
    First TrainPulse - ctr0, out->RSTI0
    Second TrainPulse - ctr1, out->RSTI1
    Period - ctr2, source=RSTI1, gate=RSTI0
    Running this program with a SIMULATED device - OK (data = 0). with the real device - I get error -200141
    I included my code.

    I need to create an event buffered task when the source=80mhz internal card timebase, gate=source of other counter (e.q for counter 1 use 0, for 3 use 2)
    I know that with Traditional-DAQ it will look like )see attch file):
    Now the convertion to DAQmx :

    sprintf(Chan,"Dev%d/ctr1",Internal.P6602_ID); // channel 1

  • How to render direction (route) on Elocation Map?

    Hi,
    I have to build a OAF page where I have the latitude and longitude for source and destination points and when I submit a request from OAF page the Elocation Map should render the driving directions and route on the Map. I have found the following request to Spatial
    <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
    <route_request id="8"
    route_preference="shortest"
    road_preference="highway"
    return_driving_directions="true"
    distance_unit="mile"
    time_unit="minute"
    return_route_geometry="true">

    </input_address>

    How do I send the same request through my OAF page? Are there APis exposed and what the process?

  • How BOM and routing is selected for Planned order and Production order?

    Hi,
    Can any1 plz tell me how BOM and routing is selected for a planned order and production order. ?

    Hello Mathisuthan,
    BOM and Routing selection for the planned order and production order through production version, If u have more than one BOM and more than one Routing then u can maintain this information as Production Version in the system.
    Production version you maintained
    MM01/MM02 -- MRP4--- Production version
    Or you can create Production Versions in Mass also with Transaction Code "C223"
    In the case no production version maintained/created  for the material, then system by default  will pick the first BOM and routing.
    I hope this information helpful to you.
    Regards

    How do I route audio from a YouTube video to AU Lab using SoundFlower so that I can capture the YouTube video's sound stream?

    Attach camera via USB or put card in card reader.
    Go to FCP, and go to the Log and TRANSFER window.
    If FCP recognizes the card, you will see your clips listed on the left.
    You can view them, set Ins and Outs, and import just what you want.
    Once you choose a section of video and import it, FCP converts (transcodes) from its original camera format to Apple ProRes422 - a more edit friendly video file.

  • How can i route smtp client in multiple messaging store servers environment

    In multiple messaging store servers environment, how can i route smtp client to the host which was specified in user's ldap "mailhost" attribute,just likes route pop client through mmp.
    does mmp can do it? or any other idea?
    thx a lot~!

    So, you want to add a text line to some messages, but not all?
    That's going to be pretty complex, actually.
    First, if all your mail is text, adding a text footer isn't all that difficult, it's done through the conversion channel.
    But filtering that, so you only do it for some users, isn't going to be easy at all.
    If you can get your users to point their clients to a particular MTA, then you can add the tag on that mta, only.
    Please note, that a text tag on a text mail is possible. Adding to an HTML mail is FAR more complex, and not a job for somebody not extremely familiar with MIME and building such.

  • How to implement route cipher using java?

    Hi guys,,,
    I really got a headache solving how to implement route cipher using java lang,,i already got the concept but i really dont get how to implement it using java actually i want to make a presentation of how route cipher works using "adobe flash" but first i will implement it using java coz flash actionscripts are closer to java lang.
    Hope you could post some examples or ideas...i would really appreciate it!
    thank you so much...

    just add an action listener (either keypressed or keytyped) to the frame that you want to record. I did this in NetBeans in about 2 seconds. I can simplify it if you need. As for loging it just write the characters to a file output stream.

  • How to insert function nodes in routing service xsl mapping?

    I have been struggling with this for some days now.
    I have requestId, versionNumber coming in as a part of xml.
    I accept this xml(xsd) in one routing node, But on the way out, I want to assign a value requestId+versionNumber(basically concatenate)+randomNumber to transitionId(a new variable).
    How do I introduce this function node in xsl mapping that can concatenate different values that come through?
    Also, how do I generate random numbers?
    Thanks in advance,
    vena

    This is fairly straight forward.
    First of all create a random number. You can do this inyour translation. On the Component Palette select Advanced Functions. There you have an option generate-id or generate-guid. Either of these will be unique. Drag this to the middle.
    You can now drag this to the transactionid. Now you need to create a concatanation. In the Component palatte go to String and drage concat to the middle. Create a link between this concat and the generate-id function. Now you should be able to drag an link from requestid and versionNumber to the concat. If if they are in the wrong order just cut and past in the code by double clicking the concat icon.
    Hope this helps
    cheers
    James

  • Does Maps Have to Plot Route?

    It seems that the shiny new Maps app in iOS6 that everyone dislikes will only plot routes.  I don't want to plot a route.  I jwant to enter an address, just study the area, and plot my own route.  Or maybe just see what is there with no intention of going there.  When the initial Maps image of the address displays, and I touch the screen (e.g. to zoom), it instantly uses my current location and plots a route.  The only way I've found to avoid this annoying feature is to disable location services.  Is there any other way to force Maps to not plot a route?

    No.
