How to populate a jcombobox ?
i am seeking for a good code sample that allows me to populate a jcombobow with the result of a reslutset ! i mean to populate it with the entire elements of the returned resultset !!
could you please help me !!
hi,
you could use something such as JComboBox cb = new JComboBox();
cb.setModel(new DefaultComboBoxModel(yourResultSet));where 'yourResultSet' above must be of type Vector or Object[].
Alternately the resultset can also be passed in the constructor of JComboBox already.
See http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/api/javax/swing/JComboBox.html and http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/api/javax/swing/DefaultComboBoxModel.html

How can i populate the Jcombobox with the data from my jpa list? Desperate
I need to populate my jcombobox with data from my jpa. This is my first time trying this and i just need some sample or a quick solution to this. Thanks in advance
<code>
public static MyNames myNames() {
EntityManagerFactory emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("JavaTrialsPU");
EntityManager em = emf.createEntityManager();
em.getTransaction().begin();
Query q = em.createNamedQuery("MyNames.findAll");
MyNames n = (MyNames) q.getResultList();
return n;
public static void myCombo() {
comboBox = new JComboBox(????--how can i make the jcombobox display my myNames() list--?????);
frame.add(comboBox, BorderLayout.PAGE_START);
</code>Implement toString() on your entity to return whatever you want to use as a label for the combobox.
Your need for quick solutions is very destructive to your learning process. In stead take the time and read around a little. Swing happens to have an excellent tutorial with many example programs readily available for you to pick through:
http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/
And PS: you need to use \ tags in this forum. -

How to populate the condition tables of CRM 7.0
Hello Friends,
How to populate values in CND* tables , i assume these are the tables that hold the conditions.
Thanks and Regards,
VasuHi,
if you refer to CND* tables those are tables involved in the condition master data exchange between ERP and CRM (on CRM side). Actual condition tables for pricing related condition records start with CNC*. In the help there is a documentation of the condition master data tables for pricing available: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/0e/91f9392486ce1ae10000000a114084/content.htm
Hope this helps.

How to populate the time component of a cube?
We have a question regarding how to populate the time component of a cube. Let me explain:
We are using OWB 10gR2. We have created a cube with several dimensions. We are now building the mapping to load the cube. The cube operator has two columns for every dimension (e.g., "customer" and "customer_id" for the "customer" dimension).
We understand that, in this case, "customer_id" stands for the dimension business key, so we create an arrow from the business key in the source table to the "customer_id" column in the cube operator.
So far so good. The mapping works all right, and the cube is loaded correctly.
Now we need to do the same for the time dimension. We have already created the time dimension and we have loaded it. We have also included it in the cube, so now we have two new columns in it: "time_day_code" and "time", both NUMBER data type.
We have the "sale_date" column (DATE data type), in the source system and, of course, now we want to populate the date column in the cube. We suppose that, somehow, we have to translate the "sale_date" field into the numeric column of the surrogate key of the time dimension. How should do we do this? I suppose that OWB must do the translation for us, just as it does for the other dimensions, but how? We have been looking into the manuals, and we have found no explanation on how to go about this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards
Juan AlgabaHi Juan
You are right this should have been in the manuals, checked and there is only a brief mention (Using a Time Dimension in a Cube Mapping section)
The identifier format should have been documented for each level and will involve creating the formatted attribute for input to the cube operator's time dimension reference attribute.
The time dimension business keys are stored as follows;
Day Level - YYYYMMDD
Month Level - YYYYMM
Week Level - YYYYWW
Quarter - YYYYQ
Year - YYYY
If you have a source that has a SQL date datatype for example and want to construct the key for a cube's time dimension at the day level something like the following expression can be used to construct the time reference from a SQL date...
to_number(to_char( time_key, 'YYYYMMDD'))
The result of this expression can be used as input to the cube's time dimension attribute.

How to populate data in PAY_PEOPLE_GROUPS table (People Group Flexfiled)
Hello
We are migrating the data from one oracle instance to another oracle instance which are in same version of Oralce Applications 11.5.10.2. As a part of migration can anybody let me know how to populate data in "People Group Key Flexfiled" (PAY_PEOPLE_GROUPS table), ideally I will create or update employee records from the source instance to destination instance, so while creating or updating the employee records in can pass people_group_id while calling to the assignment api but my question here is before passing group id to the api i should have the data populated in PAY_PEOPLE_GROUPS TABLE so that i can fetch the group id as per the combination and pass it in to the api.. please suggest...Thanks for your information! by any chance do you have any sample code which will create/update assignments with People Group Flexfield; when i check "hr_assignment_api.update_emp_asg_criteria" it only has parameter to pass people group id and not having segments parameters to pass individual segments.
Also let me know the links if you have any for all HR API guide which will help me to develope the interfaces...
My requirement is we have two instances in which in one instance we are treating as source for HR which will be used to master for all HR related activities and we are planning to develope an interface which will bring master instance in sync with dummy instance. -
Uix:Tree - How to populate in jsp ?
Hello all,
I'm having trouble to know how to populate an <uix:tree> in a JSP page. I see the UIX Developer's guide and the SimpleTreeData example and the documentation about uix:jsp is very poor. The data that will be posted in the <uix:tree> was provided by IFS. Then, I populate a DataObjectList with the files name. The point is that I don't know how to make a link between this DataObjectList, populated in a class(*.JAVA) file and the <uix:tree>(*.JSP) file. I wanna know how to use only <uix:jsp> and don't use *.UIX files, only *.JSP and *.JAVA files, ok ?
Here are some code part :
This is the JSP file
<%@ taglib uri="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui" prefix="uix" %>
<%@ page import="Hierarquia" %>
<%@ page import="oracle.cabo.ui.data.DataObjectList" %>

</uix:pageLayout>
</uix:body>

</uix:document>
</html>
Thanks folks !

I believe that the best way to do this is to use scriptable variables, eg:
<uix:tree id="arvore_teste">
<%
// Assuming "dados" contains your tree data
arvore_teste.setNodes(dados);
%>
</uix:tree>See the "Scriptable Variables" section in the "UIX JSP Tag Libraries" chapter of the UIX Developer's Guide for more info...

How to populate a page with images in across/down direction?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to populate a page with images in across and down direction (for example 6 X 6 )? It seems that I cannot use data table because records are only running downward and each row can have one record.
Any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks.Alex,
You can create your own tabular form using APEX_ITEM API's
Create report and you can put similar code to following
SELECT APEX_ITEM.TEXT(1,col1) pk1, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(2,col2) pk2 FROM your_tableSo data will be displayed in TEXT boxes as if it's a tabular form. Now you need to handle INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE processes manually. You can easily handle INSERT and DELETE. But handling UPDATE can be a nightmare. What if user has updated both the column values?
Updated details
One way out would be to use ROWID as Primary key to handle DELETE and UPDATE
SELECT APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,ROWID) tick, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(2,col1) pk1, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(3,col2) pk2 FROM your_tablebut yet I suggest to go for proper primary key..

Hari

This program is working fine. You can test it.
Only problem is as the column headings are big for some columns, they are getting truncated which you can always change by changing the column width in declaration
Please let me know if this helps.

How to populate default values for BP (FPP1 is tcode in ECC 6.0)
Hello ,
I am creating BP in ECC 6.0 using Fpp1 tcode. How to populate default values when i hit create BP person. any badi triggers when we are creating BP in ECC.
guide me.Hi Premanand,
To default fields, you need to do the following steps :
1. Create a Z module e.g. : Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG.
2. Enter suppose you want to default fiels Name, title, country, write code as follows :
DATA : ls_busdefault LIKE busdefault.
ls_busdefault-title = '0002'.
ls_busdefault-mc_name1 = 'TEST'.
ls_busdefault-mc_name2 = 'Default'.
ls_busdefault-country = 'IN'.
CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET'
EXPORTING
i_busdefault = ls_busdefalut.
3. Now got to transaction BUS7, select event ISDAT, click on Event--> function modules.
4. Register your Z module Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG in this list, Save.
This should solve your problem. Please note : You can only default those fields contained in structure BUSDEFAULT.

How to populate data in a JTable?????????
hi there
can anyone tell me how to populate data in a JTable? when a table is displayed, the table should have data retrieved from a file. thank you.Hi,
it is correct, that the best way to learn about JTable is to read the online tutorial about JTable. To give you a quick guideline, where to start your implementation, I will add this:
A JTables data is hold in a TableModel. TableModel is an interface, so if a class implements this interface correctly, you can simply populate the data hold by this TableModel by constructing a JTable this way
JTable jt = new JTable(MyTableModel);
where MyTableModel is your class, which implements the TableModel interface.
When JTable has to render a cell, it will call the getValueAt(...) method of the TableModel for example.Your implementation of this method must deliver the requested data - if you prefetch a bunch of data from a file and store it internally in this TableModel or fetch it from the file just in time, is up to you.

How to populate values in List box in adobe forms?
Thanks
RBif you want to display a fixed values in the dropdown you can use list box ui and can specify values there
or if u want to display values from the context node of the webdynpro
1. Drag and drop a Value Help Drop-down List element from the Web Dynpro Library tab to the Body Pages pane.
2. Drag and drop your node from the Data View tab onto it. This action binds the layout element to the corresponding node.

How to use CrossReference and DVM in ODI &how to populate data into Xref
Can any one tell how to use Domain Value Maps and Cross Referencing in ODI?
DVM or Domain Value Map are created and used in ESB console of SOA suite.
My actual requirement is as follows:
The below steps describe loading data from ERP Application 1 to ERP Application 2.
1. The Source Application ERP APP1, populates the interface table using their native technology.
2. A job scheduler invokes the Source side ODI Package.
3. ODI then extracts the data from Source Interface table and populates the Target Interface table.
4. After populating the Target interface table the ODI populates the X-ref table with App 1 ID and generated common ID.
5. The ODI either deletes or updates the rows that were processed from the Source interface table.
6. On the Target Application ERP APP2, the native application extracts data from target interface table and populates target database there by generating ERP Application 2 ID.
7. A job scheduler on the Target application invokes the ODI package to populate the Application 2 ID onto the Xref table matching on the Common ID.
I just want to know :
1. How to populate data into the Xref table from Source datastore
2. And if data is successfully laoded from target datastore to actual base table of target then how to populate the target id into the cross reference table.can anyone suggest me some answer, then it would be of great help?
