How to populate CONTROLLER in proxy class call?

Hi All
While calling proxy class, i want to populate input variable CONTROLLER. I want to use the method GET_MESSAGE_ID to get the message guid.
CONTROLLER is TYPE REF TO IF_AI_POSTING_CONTROLLER.
How can i get this populated thru my proxy class call?
Sample code is highly appreciated.
Thanks
Chandra

Can you let me know little bit more details. Is this server proxy? If yes, you can use the proxy access class CL_PROXY_ACCESS to access the runtime variables of the proxy. Check http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/51/d5cd16235e4643ae8ec92395c4ad97/frameset.htm
Controller is used for controlling the attributes of the message, say for example controlling initial values for fields etc.
Let me know if you need more info.

  • Customer Proxy Class like CL_XSS_CAT_1_AREA_PAGE

    Hi all,
    We've created a Proxy Class like CL_XSS_CAT_1_AREA_PAGE and we've placed it in MSS_HCM_ATTENDANCE_TEAMCALENDAR Service. Our class adds the number of pending leave requests to be approved at the end of the hyperlink, so we have something like 'Team Calendar (3)'.
    We've done this so that managers know if they have any leave request pending to be approved without having to enter the application, so they can see this from the Overview page.
    But we have an issue, as the Proxy Class is just called when we logon to ESS for the first time. Therefore, if the manager has 1 pending leave to approve, and approves it, when he goes back to the overview page, the hyperlink still shows 1 pending item.
    We've seen that Record working times and Release working times don't have this problem, as the texts below these hyperlinks are automatically updated when using the applications. So, for example, if the user has no working times pending to be released the link is disabled, and when he records some working times, the link for releasing working times is automatically enabled, which means the Proxy Class is called at the end of recording working times process.
    We've also seen that Resource keys EMPLOYEE_RECORDWORKTIME_SERVICE and EMPLOYEE_RELEASEWORKTIME_SERVICE both have a URL parameter called 'refreshmenu', and we thought that would trigger the call to the Proxy Class, but we've tried to add this parameter in our resource and did not take effect.
    So, do you know how can we make our Proxy Class to be called? Is there any piece of code in the standard Record/Release Working times applications that does this call?
    Thank you!
    Albert Vinas.

    Hi Siddharth,
    Thanks for your quick response! But I think I was not clear in my post. We are not using CL_XSS_CAT_1_AREA_PAGE class, instead we've created a Z one completely different.
    So, the main problem we have is that this Proxy Class is correctly called first time we logon to ESS/MSS, but we have no way to call it again after we approve a leave request, so the number of work items is not refreshed. In other words, if after approving a leave request you logoff and logon again, then you can see the correct number of pending leaves, but this is not what we want.
    Reference to Record/Release Working times was done because in these 2 applications, each time a new working time is recorded or released the Proxy Class is called (easy to see by setting a breakpoint in the Class), so the hyperlink for 'Release working times' is automatically enabled/disabled.
    As I said, we think URL parameter 'refreshmenu' in the Resource definition is important here, but it seems it is only used in Record/Release working times, so there must be a piece of code in the webdynpro application looking for this parameter, but we couldn't find it.
    Regards,
    Albert Vinas.

  • Proxy class name should be same in all env. Correct ?

    Hi Friends,
    We have ECC development, quality and production system.  We already did the proxy settings in ECC dev and it is connected to PI. It is fine.
    In SPROXY, we created class for our outbound interface in ECC dev system. While the class is created we saved this in package (to be transported to ECC quality).
    We will do SPROXY config in ECC quality system to connect to PI.
    PI system is same for both development ECC and quality ECC.
    Now, my doubt is, 1) do we need to create again class through SPROXY in ECC qulaity for the same OB interface ?
                                 2) If it is 'yes', is it required to transport the class to from ECC dev to ECC quality ?
    My understanding is a) we need to create class in quality ecc (SPROXY). b) The class name should be same as in ecc dev 3) It need not required to transport the class from ecc DEV to quality since we did not do anything for the class.
    Can you kindly clarify friends.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

    I do not get your points.
    > I agreed your point.  My query is once the proxy class transported into QUALITY, how the call/execution will happen ?
    The same way as in dev.
    > It means how it understands it needs send data to XI system when this class is called through Z abap program in Quality.
    Yes.
    > How this is differentiated from normal class call & proxy class call?
    There is no difference. You call the proxy class the same way as any other class that you create with SE24.
    The only difference is, that this class is generated.
    So the whole transport mechanism applies for the ABAP proxy as well.
    In our system I put ABAP proxy and calling program in same package and transport them together. But this is up to you.

    Edit a file named config.xml :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <configuration
    xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jax-rpc/ri/config">
    <wsdl location="http://{path}/{serviceName}?WSDL"
    packageName="client">
    </wsdl>
    </configuration>
    and try this command : xrpcc -client config.xml
    It will generate all the client-side classes.
    Finally, write a client that accesses to these classes.
    package client;
    import javax.xml.rpc.Stub;
    public class Client {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
              Stub stub = createProxy();

              CITClientIF_Stub cl = (CITClientIF_Stub)stub;
              result=cl.Method(...);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    private static Stub createProxy() {

  • How can I call a ABAP proxy class from BADI? PLease help

    hi Experts,
        I have a scenario where I have to call a ABAP proxy class from a BADI. How can I do this? Does anybody has sample code for the same?
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
       You can call a method of a class from BADI. Here are the steps.
       1) In the BADI implementation create a object for the proxy class.
       2) Call the Execute_Synchronous method.
        You can define a BADI by using SE18 and you can implement it by using SE19.
    Sample code...
    ================================================
      METHOD ZIF_EX_VBADI~CONVERTUPPER.
      DATA: OBJ TYPE REF TO ZTESTCLASS.
      DATA: IT_DATA  TYPE ZIN_MT,
                IT_RES   TYPE ZOUT_MT,
                SEXCEPTION TYPE REF TO CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT.
      TRY.
          CREATE OBJECT OBJ
             EXPORTING
                 LOGICAL_PORT_NAME = 'TESTPORT'.
      CATCH CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT INTO SEXCEPTION.
      ENDTRY.
    ENDMETHOD.
    ================================================
    Thanks,
    Vivek LR

    This exception means that xml namespaces are different.
    Etc. soap has xml element which doesn't belong to namespace of parent xml element and namespace is set without prefix.
    I had such problem.
    Try to set namespace prefix for this element.
    Example:
    <el1>
    <el2 xmlns="http://..."/>
    </el1>
    Should be
    <el1>
    <q:el2 xmlns:q="http://..."/>
    </el1>

  • RFC lookup with java proxy class, how do I use "fromXml()"?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to do an RFC lookup in XI using java proxy classes (SAP Enterprise Connector).
    The XMLPayload comes from a java proxy class which has been converted to xml using a method called
    .fromXml() for this. I just don't know how to use and I can't find any documentation for it.
    Would very much appreciate if someone could provide me with an example of how to use this class
    Best Regards

  • How to test Java Proxy Classes in Portal

    I have created a Java Project in NWDS and have added Java Proxy classes for BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDADA. I have created a main class to call the Java Proxy Classes.
    I have noticed that I can not export it as .PAR file so I exported it as .JAR file. Now I logged into my Portal Server to test this new Java Proxy class but I do not see the .JAR file that I had created. Do I need to explicitly import it into Portal Server (I was thinking that similar to .PAR files, .JAR file will get transferred to the portal server automatically upon chosing Export from NWDS)
    I am also not sure if I can create JAVA iView based on the .JAR file.
    Please advise me on how can I test my Java Proxy Class.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Sanjay Gera

    Hi,
    You can try with HTTP as sender. Send a HTTP request using HTTP Client code and check out the response.
    For HTTP, sender communication channel is not required. All other steps in Configuration will be similar to any simple scenario.

  • How to create proxy class for a Siebel WS which has many Workflows in it?

    Hi,
    I am facing a strange problem. I have a Web Service for which there are many workflows associated with this. When I generate WSDL for this Web Service and later on generate proxy class in .NET, it creates mutilple classes for each workflow. From UI, I can invoke a perticular method for the class for which I am interested in. But when I am building the same in JDeveloper, using Web Service proxy, I get only one class and I am not interested in invoking method in this class but interested in some other class for which the proxy was not generated. Is there some way to generate multiple classes in JDeveloper proxy?
    Thanks,
    Sudha.

    I have figured this out. Actually Generate proxy creates package and it includes all the class in it. Now i am able to invoke web service method call.

  • How to set username and password when using Proxy class for SOCKS5?

    Hi all,
    I use the proxy class for SOCKS5, so need to set username and password, I don't find where can I set the value. whether the API support it.
    Thanks in advance!

    System.getProperties().put("proxySet", "true");That does nothing. Remove.
    System.getProperties().put("proxyHost", getProxyHost());
    System.getProperties().put("proxyPort", getProxyPort());You should be setting socks.proxyHost and socks.proxyPort here.
    System.setProperty("java.net.socks.username", getSOCKSUsername());
    System.setProperty("java.net.socks.password", getSOCKSPassword());
    Authenticator.setDefault(new ProxyAuth(getSOCKSUsername(), getSOCKSPassword()));You either need the first two lines or the third, not both. See the last link posted above.
    1. After I set the value, I connect internet by proxy, how the proxy server knows the values?Because Java tells it during the SOCKS handshake.
    2. In my app, I just set the values in the system properties, then JVM does remaining work? Remaining work is not concerned?Should be OK unless you have to connect to a different SOCKS proxy from the same JVM, but that kind of thing is problematic anyway due to the curious Authenticator design which is set globally, not per connection as you might expect.

  • How to use CL_PROXY_BASIS instead of CL_PROXY_CLIENT your ABAP Proxy class?

    Hello experts,
    I have a scenario where a new basis release was done in my development and testing SAP boxes (Basis Release 710 I believe) which means from then on when generating an ABAP Proxy class the inheriting class will be used is CL_PROXY_CLIENT as opposed to the previous CL_PROXY_BASIS.
    This causes a problem though because the target date for the project, which uses this ABAP proxy, is supposed to be in the production system before the date when the basis release will be done in the production system.  Obviously this will cause delays in my project since if I were to move my objects to production before the basis release a dump/syntax error will occur in production because the class CL_PROXY_CLIENT is not expected be production yet.
    The next plan is to try to use CL_PROXY_BASIS instead of CL_PROXY_CLIENT, by editing my ABAP Proxy Class be force. My question is, what steps do I need to take so that I can change these classes so CL_PROXY_BASIS will be referenced/used instead of CL_PROXY_CLIENT ?
    I hope to hear from all of you soon.
    Regards
