How to Port Berkeley DB on POSEK RTOS

Hi all,
I want to port Berkerley DB on POSEK.
Currently Oracle Berkeley DB does not support for POSEK Platform.
Has anyone ported BerkeleyDb on POSEK RTOS??Or any other similar embedded RTOS.
I am using the berkeley DB build for Windows and trying to crosscompile the windows files
on POsek Platform.(by using the "Diab" compiler of "POSEKSystem 30.1") but facing lots of
compilation problems.
please give your suggestions/comments on porting to POSEK.
A brief explanation on POSEK RTOS
What is POSEK RTOS?
"Open Systems and their Interfaces for the Electronics in Motor Vehicles" is a standards
body that has produced specifications for an embedded operating system, a communications
stack, and a network management protocol for automotive embedded systems.
POSEK RTOS are embedded Operating system for Microcontrollers like MPC555.

          I have a ABAP report that contains a selection screen with 3 select-option elements and a search button. On pressing search button an ALV grid opens with data from a SAP table based on selection screen criteria.
I want to web enable it so that it can be accessed from Enterprise Portal. i will be using IAC iview in Portal.
Now the IAC iview needs my ABAP report to be ported to ITS?
1.How to port it to ITS? What are the steps?
2.In order to port in to ITS do I need to change my ABAP code?
3.Are there any known limitations of porting ABAP reports in ITS? For example Performance, ALV not supported, Table control not supported etc.
4. Does it handle dynamic programming?
5. Are there any documentation for porting report to ITS?
6. How much time effort it will be for porting ABAP reportys to ITS?
To add some more points. SAP transaction iview is not allowed in my organization. Webdynpro/BSP is also not supported. Thats why I am using IAC iview which needs ITS.

hi,
step1.create a transaction for ABAPreport in SE93.
step2.Go to transaction SICF and create a service in the following path sap/bc/gui/sap/its.
Check the following Url to create a service.

step3. create a system object setting the following property categories.
   1.Connector
   2.Usermanagement
   3.ITS
   4.WAS
In the usermanagement do the user mapping.
step4. While creating an IAC iview, in the third step for the <b>Internet Application Component (IAC)</b> property give the service name you have created in SICF.
you need not change the abap code. The only limitation while porting abap report in ITS is you cannot view the icons in the tool bar, instead you view the buttons.
ALV is supported. Functionality wise nothing will change except the appearance mainly with the icons.

How to port a project from a database to another

Can any help me find a documantation how to port my metadata project from one database to another step by step. I get problem with the location and connector in mapping when import the metadata file (mdl)

I have to do the same task here. Still couldn't start this task though...
But I believe I'll use the MDL file. I don't see how avoid the connector/location issue either. I believe that migrating OWB's repositories demands to recreate this structures...
If anyone else knows how to overcome this issue, I'd be glad to know how!

How to port forward in windows server 2012 ? for IIS

I have windows server 2012 in AWS cloud (Public IP)
Installed IIS 8 and running website in the port 8980 and its working fine (Public IP)
My question is
I have CNAME record in Godaddy in the name of example.com which is pointed to my PUBLIC IP ... its working fine.
But I want to know how to port the 80 request to 8980 in windows server 2012 thanks.

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want that example.com(in Godaddy) to transfer corresponding queries(port and website name) to the website on WS 2012(in AWS cloud).
Since your domain example.com is supported by Godaddy, I recommend you to contact the supporter of Godaddyand confirm that if their product supports port forwarding.
In general, if you useWindows ServerInstruction, we may enable NAT(Routing and Remote Service) on network interface to redirect services/ports.

When I look at the Servers list and look at the CMS server I see three potential port numbers:
1. Request Port
2. Hostname or IP Address
3. Name Server Port
I know we need the third one so can I ask why you say you only need two servers for the CMS, as the list above seem to be suggesting three?

This is for Apple routers which do not use browser setup.. you must use the airport utility for any setup.
There is particular advice by the section GURU.. Tesserax on how to port forward in apple routers.
Finding the tips is now an exercise though.

Yes, means you cannot currently. There is no Java Virtual Machine and matching Java Class Libraries supporting the Personal Profile which runs on a PalmOS device. Currently there are MIDP 1.0 implementations for Palm OS implemented in 68k. IBM is currently working with PalmOne and together we are developing a native ARM based MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1 solution for the PalmOS 5+ Tungsten devices.

The TC has to be the main router for this to be relevant. If you have another router or double NAT.. you will need to port forward on the main router and eliminate double NAT.

How to run berkeley DB in backend

Hi,
I have a question on how to run berkeley DB in backend under Linux. I am running a web application using Struts. Upon users' request, the application needs to access BerkeleyDB. Since BerkeleyDB has the cache mechanism, I hope to keep it open in the backend, and when the request comes, it is can be handled with help of cache. I read the manual, but it seems that each time an action is invoked, the action has to open BerkeleyDB and access data. When the action finishes, BerkeleyDB needs to be closed. However, the cache will be lost.
Basically, what I want is what RDBMS (e.g. oracle) behaves: they run in the backend. Application can use JDBC connect to it, and the cache is always there.
Is there any way to get around this? or is there other way to leverage BerkeleyDB's cache in web application? I am not sure if the question is too naive, because I am quite new to the web application.

Hi,
The best approach is normally to keep the BDB JE Environment open for the lifetime of your web application. To do that, you'll need to save the Environment object as context information after you open it. And don't forget to close the Environment when your web application stops.
All web frameworks provide some way to save context information between HTTP requests. For example, I'm sure that struts provides a way for you to access the ServletContext.
This forum is not the best place to ask detailed questions about struts or servlets. I would ask those questions on a struts forum, or even better try to find this information in the servlet / struts documentation.
