How to port forward to allow access to ip camera

Hello. My ip camera is set to http://10.0.1.11:8000. Can you assist with port forwarding, so I can access this camera from outside of my home network? I have the most recent Airport Utility and Time Capsule. Thank you.

I did find two posts that explain in exact detail how to port forward.. did you not read them??
Here. I will give it to you by copy and paste so you don't even have to look.
Start the AirPort Utility (in lion download and use 5.6 not 6) > Select the TC
Select Manual Setup.
Verify that Connection Sharing = Share a public IP address is selected on the Internet > Internet Connection tab.
Select Advanced, and then, select the Port Mapping tab.
Click the plus sign to add a new port mapping.
For Service, leave the default; this will change to "Custom" once you start entering port values.
In the Public UDP Port(s) and Public TCP Port(s) boxes, type in a 4-digit port number (e.g., 8000) that you choose. In the Private IP Address box, type the internal IP address of your camera. In the Private UDP Port(s) and Private TCP Port(s) boxes, enter the appropriate port values that should have been provided to you by the camera manufacturer. Click Continue.
In the Description box, type a descriptive name like "Internet Camera Access," and then, click Done.
Click on Update.
To connect to the shared Camera from a remote location using a Mac or PC:
Start your favorite web browser.
Enter the dtdns.com-provided Domain Name, followed by a colon and the Public port number that you choose in step 7 of the previous procedure. For example: http://www.mydtdnsdomainname.com:8888

  • How to Port forward your router via browser

I Am having trouble port forwarding 19132 and I tried using airport extreme to port forward but everyTime I connect using my external ip it just fails.
i Have port forwarded the port, and I did it correctly, hence I watched a few videos before and after. so I need to know how to port forward 19132 via browser.
i Learned how to open the the config of the router via browser, or so I thought. I need to allow google access to my network, but I don't know how.
    please help.

This is for Apple routers which do not use browser setup.. you must use the airport utility for any setup.

  • How to port forward a non 10.0.1.X IP Address

Is there anyone who could tell me how to port forward a 10.71.0.1 address since it only lets you use 10.0.1.X

The normal way that you would set this up is the same as with a hotel Ethernet connection.
Configure the AirPort Express to "create a wireless network" in Bridge Mode and allow the school's router to provide the IP addresses. In Bridge Mode, the Express will pass through the IP address information seamlessly to connected devices. All ports are already open. Everything will be on the same subnet.

I would use the 5.6 utility as the 6.0 or 6.1 in Lion is a dog.

The TC has to be the main router for this to be relevant. If you have another router or double NAT.. you will need to port forward on the main router and eliminate double NAT.

  • How to Port Forward on Cisco 1900 Router?

We have a cisco 1900 router. I m new to cisco routers commands, recently started learning. I need to forward all requests coming from port 1723 from outside to inside server ip. I check "show running-config" and I see already forwarded ports and ip like below,
ip nat pool onlyone xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx netmask 255.255.255.252
ip nat inside source list 1 pool onlyone overload
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.0.xx 22 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 22 extendable
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.0.xx 80 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 80 extendable
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.0.xx 80 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 96 extendable
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.0.xx 443 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 443 extendable
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is public facing IP.
so what is the command to add "ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.xx 1723 <public-ip> 1723 extendable" to currnetly working settings?
I am currently reading below but no luck so far...

How do I know if "interface ethernet 0" and "interface serial 0" will work for me?

the router is already setup and working for 2 years. all i need to do  add a simple port forward from public ip to internal server. Following  make sense to accomplish what i m trying to do. Lets assume 1.2.3.4 is  my office public static ip and 192.168.0.10 is my internal server. All  requests will come from some Ip lets say 25.24.23.22:1723 to  1.2.3.4:1723 and router will forward this request to 192.168.0.10:1723.  This is all i m trying to accomplish. I m not setting up a new router.  Some rules are already there. Therefore below seem to be what i need. All I need is how to identify "interface ethernet 0" & "interface serial 0". I understand the inside and outside details. All i have to find is how to replace ethernet 0 and serial 0 with what i have in my router setup.
    interface ethernet 0
    ip address 172.16.10.1 255.255.255.0
    ip nat inside
!--- Defines Ethernet 0 with an IP address and as a NAT inside interface.
    interface serial 0
    ip address 200.200.200.5 255.255.255.252
    ip nat outside
!--- Defines serial 0 with an IP address and as a NAT outside interface.
ip nat inside source static tcp 172.16.10.8 8080 172.16.10.8 80
!--- Static NAT command that states any packet received in the inside
!--- interface with a source IP address of 172.16.10.8:8080 is
    !--- translated to 172.16.10.8:80.

  • Port forward only allows "Same as Incomming"

I have a new actiontec mi 424 wr gen2 router and want to setup port forwarding. However it does not allow me to enter a port number in the port forwarding screen. Instead it only has the option of "Same as incomming". Does anyone know how to configure it so it accepts a port in the port forwarding option?

Here is how I forwarded port 8081 to port 80 for 192.168.1.5 internal.
Go to port forwarding and add.
Enter 192.168.1.5 for the ip address.  Specify protocol and then add server ports.  Call it any name you want and select protocol (TCP probably)  and Select the destination port as 8081. then apply.  Now you will see Service Name: whatever and server ports TCP with Any--->8081  Hit apply again and you are back to add port forwarding rule with a rule name like TCP Any--> 8081.  Below that you will see forward to port with a drop down that should be on specify and default value of 80.  Apply that and you now have a rule that forwards port 8081 to port 80.   And you're right....that is a wacky way to have to port forward

  • How to port forward on time capsule for share center dlink?

Hello, I have just bought a Dlink ShareCenter, and have not been able to get everything to work correctly , all of the videos are from the older version, the steps are not compatible with the new airport app, I want to open 21 and 8 , they have to be open so that I can access my files outside , can I please get help with this please ,thank you. i provided an image at the screen that I am not sure what to plug in.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/5yl5c86xfll0rkr/Screen%20Shot%202012-06-07%20at%208.20 .59%20PM.png

    Please explain the whole network..
Start with the modem.. what broadband do you have?
What modem and is it a modem router or straight modem?
Is the share centre using dhcp or static IP?
I am not sure how sensitive the TC is to port forwarding to static IP addresses but if it works ok, then use that.. simply set the Dlink to
    10.0.1.254 as its IP.
    255.255.255.0 as its subnet.
10.0.1.1 as both gateway and dns.
This is assuming the TC is at its default address. if not it won't work.
From the summary page tell me what IP the TC is at.
In the port forwarding box you use that IP.. 10.0.1.254
Use same port in as out.. and it makes no difference if you fill in both udp and tcp. Apply it and then apply port 80.
If it still fails, it has to be something else.
    Are you using 5.6 utility??

  • Can anyone tell me how to port forward and setup an XBOX 360 using my Time Capsule??

    Xbox 360
When playing the game online, the minimum speed of your network should be 128kbps. The ideal network speed for playing the game online is 768kbps. If you are having a problems with lag check the following:
    Network Troubleshooting:
Disable any firewall or security features on your router.
Set port forwarding on your router to the IP address of your Xbox 360. This game uses port 3074 (UDP/TCP). Additionally Xbox LIVE requires ports 80, 53 TCP and 88, 53 UDP.
Place your Xbox 360 into the DMZ of your router.
Disconnect your router and try the game. If it works regularly at this point something about your router may not be completely compatible with the specific needs of this game. Check with your router manufacturer and Microsoft's Xbox Live Connection Issues page for additional steps that may need to be done to resolve the issue you are having. You can also verify that you have an Xbox Live compatible router.
If you are having issues connecting while multiple Xbox 360 consoles are connected on the same network, try forwarding port 3074 (UDP/TCP) for one Xbox 360 and setting the other as DMZ. There is a chance that this may not resolve you issue,  if it doesn’t then you may want to consider getting an additional public IP address by contacting your Internet Service Provider and assigning it to one of these two consoles.
NOTE: If setting port forwarding or DMZ helps your connection issue, you may want to assign your Xbox 360 a static IP address within your home network. This can help to ensure that the configurations you made do not need to be done again. You can visit PortForward's Static IP Guide for a detailed guide on how to do this.
NOTE: Many broadband internet modems are coming with routing capabilities built in. Please contact your internet service provider to determine if your internet modem has an integrated router. If it does, they should be able to assist you with the steps above for setting up your router.
Once you have verified that your network setup is not the cause of the issue, try the following:
Try connecting to a different server. Some servers may have other players connected to them that you do not have an optimal connection with. In most games this is accomplished by backing out to the main menu and then selecting multiplayer again. From there you can try connecting to another online game.
Run the Xbox Network Self Test to see how strong your NAT is currently set to. Once the test is completed you will be notified if there is an issue with your connection. If you select "More Info" you will be given information about your NAT type and some steps to resolve any issues with your connection.
Moderate and Strict NAT types may have issues connecting to online matches. You may get the error "Notice - The game session is no longer available." If you do then enabling UPnP, forwarding port 3074, or placing your Xbox in your router's DMZ may resolve this issue. Please consult your router documentation for instructions on how to do this.

Whoa....this just went way over my head.... I already have 6.1 installed for my Airport Utility.
Read again what I wrote.. 6.1 is the problem.. or part of it.
You need to install the earlier 5.6 version which I have given you explicit instructions to do.
I have done something now and can not connect the XBOX at all now....unless you can provide me step by step directions I may have to call Apple Support.
This will happen over and over.. just press reset and start again.. you need to learn how to do the setup and using 5.6 utility will help you.. as will using ethernet from the computer to the TC.. trying to fix things over wireless is like sitting on a tree branch you are sawing off. As soon as you update you will fall to the ground.
I am not that sure that Apple Support will have any idea.
Do a google search .. you will find most people struggle with this.. Microsoft made the xbox to use upnp with vista specs.. if you use a router without upnp, ie any apple router.. you will have issues.
Have a go at bypassing the problem.. I have no idea if this will work.. I do not use a TC as the main router because much of my network including xbox and ps3 is just a pain.. I use a modem router with upnp. And bridge the TC.. that is the setup I would recommend.
Try this.. once you have installed 5.6 utility.
Get the IP of the XBox and click enable default host.. and put the IP address in there.. this is called DMZ.. all unassigned packets are forwarded to this ip address.. it is like a port forwarding for all ports.
See if it helps.. If it does you will need to lock the xbox address so it doesn't change.. we can get to that.
Tell me what kind of broadband you have and what modem router first.. none of this will work if you have double NAT.

  • Port forwarding for external access to VNC server on multiple machines

I will have 10 PCs connected to the WRT54GL wireless AP. I am testing with 1. It has a static addresses 10.155.22.51. It is running a VNC server at port 5951.
If I  set my VNC client up to access 10.155.22.51:5951 it works through the WRT54GL wireless AP.
I set the WRT54GL port forwarding to 5951 - 5951, set the IP address to 10.155.22.51 and enable. The external address of the AP is 10.155.0.29 on the company LAN.
So I set the VNC client to access the AP address with the VNC port, i.e. 10.155.0.29:5951. I expect the AP to change the address to 10.155.22.51:5951. This does not work.
Note: the problem could be that the AP is going through NATting because I can also access it at 10.155.22.9 along with all the other PCs on that LAN, i.e. I can access the LAN directly from elsewhere on the company net.

You can try changing the IP of the AP manually ... connect it to the Computer  ..... access the setup page using http://192.168.1.245  .... use password as admin ....
Configure the IP settings first ...
Again login with new IP address .... configure wireless settings .....
Power down the AP & then the router ....
Wait for few minutes .... then power on the router ...first then the AP ...

  • How to port forward in windows server 2012 ? for IIS

    Hi,
I have windows server 2012 in AWS cloud (Public IP)
Installed IIS 8 and running website in the port 8980 and its working fine (Public IP)
    My question is
I have CNAME record in Godaddy in the name of example.com which is pointed to my PUBLIC IP ... its working fine.
But I want to know how to port the 80 request to 8980 in windows server 2012 thanks.
    Wes

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want that example.com(in Godaddy) to transfer corresponding queries(port and website name) to the website on WS 2012(in AWS cloud).
Since your domain example.com is supported by Godaddy, I recommend you to contact the supporter of Godaddyand confirm that if their product supports port forwarding.
In general, if you useWindows ServerInstruction, we may enable NAT(Routing and Remote Service) on network interface to redirect services/ports.
    Best Regards,
    Eve Wang

  • How to port forward with Modem and Router

    I have a Linksys AM300 Modem and a Linksys WRT610N router.
I want to forward ports for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and STEAM.
How do I port forward when I have 2 devices and how can I test that it is working?

I would recommend that you reconfigure your AM300 into bridge mode. In bridge mode it operates like a standard modem would do. Then reconfigure the WRT610N for your internet connection, i.e. most likely PPPoE. Now the WRT has a direct connection into the internet. Now you only need to configure port forwarding on the WRT610N.

  • Add 2nd ix2-dl NAS to router. How to port forward 2nd device?

I would like to add a 2nd ix2-dl to my DSL router.  The first ix2-dl works well, but I am already port forwarding 443, 50500-50599 with this 1st router's ip address.  Router will not let me forward the same ports to the second ix2's ip address without cancelling out the 1st ix2.  How do I fix this?  I'm using Windows7 and a DSL Actiontec router 192.168.0.x.  Thanks!

This is a model depending router issue:
    try the following :
    Map eg. 50500-50505 to <Unit1-ip-adress> 443, 50550-50555 to <Unit2-ip-adress> 443 rather than a port range.
    Ant then have a try with e.g. https://<dny.dns>:50501 for unit 1, https://<dny.dns>:50551

  • Port Forwarding/"Level 15 Access" Authorisation

I have an 827H router on which I am trying to set up port forwarding so that I can host a website from my computer.
    I ran
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.2 80 xx.xx.xx.xx 80
but when I try to visit the page I get an authorisation box looking for uname and pwd to get "level 15 access".
What gives? What must I do it get this to work?

The router also has http services and it seems you are getting a prompt from the device itself.
Please post the entire config to see if NAT was properly configured.

  • How to port forward to get my ps3 to be nat2?

I have read and tried so many explanations on how to get this to work, but no matter what I try it never seems to change. I am using an airport extrmeme with a standard modem threw Bell (I am in Canada) which does not have its own wireless features. I have read that putting it into DMZ mode will eliminate any need to port forward and is the easiest way to make it work. I did exactly what the tutorial said but still go nat2. I can barely join any online matches because of nat3 and the ones I do get into I usually get disconnected from. If anyone knows a way to properly set this up so I can get nat2 I would be extremely grateful.

I'm still not sure if you are talking about a DSL modem, or a cable type modem here. Most devices can be configured by entering an IP address right into your Internet browser, for example 192.168.1.254 works with a lot of the AT&T devices here in the States.
The AirPort Extreme...and all Apple routers...are configured differently. You have to use AirPort Utility, a software application that is part of Snow Leopard to configure the Airport devices.
Do you have the make and model number handy so we could do a search and do some checking on your "modem"? If you want to do this yourself, type in the make and model number into your search engine like Google. Unless you have an "unknown" device, you'll see plenty of links for support, manuals ,etc.
The bottom line here is that...IF....you have a DSL type modem, it must be configured as a "bridge" or in "bridge mode" for your AirPort Extreme to operate correctly. Otherwise, you will always have a Double NAT issue on your network, which will prevent proper communications for your devices.
