How to prepare for ABAP certification?

Hi,
I'm currently pursuing my ABAP certification. I've completed the training course and I've started to prepare for the certification. I've heard from a lot of people that the certification exam is really tricky and difficult to get through. A lot of well prepared people whom I've known, have failed to clear the exam. I'm not sure as to how the preparation should be. Do I complete the topics with higher weightage first and then move on to the lesser ones (or) do I just go through the topics as per the order in the training material???
I need your guidance as to how to prepare effectively for this certification.
Any other suggestions apart from the two mentioned would be greatly appreciated.

Materials about certifications are confidential and not to be discussed and also shared.
Its against the RULES OF ENGAGEMENT.
Kindly dont ask regarding certifications... better consult the SAP CERTIFICATION Partners like SIEMENS.
They would give you great guidance.

Hi janki,
the best preparation is to use LabVIEW. Try to understand how the functions work. Work with Graphs and Charts. Understand how loops are working, when and why they stop and ... .
You should also use the forums search, there are a lot of threads about certification.

Hi Rajasekaran,
To do XI certification you should have good knowledge of XI first. As you mentioned that you are a ABAP consultant and I suppose you do not have much knowledge of XI till now, so start learning XI first and then go for certification. There are two types of XI certification: Technical Consultant and Development Consultant. Being a developer you will go for Development Certification in XI stream. Below are few links that will guide you for certification need and what are the requisites for XI certifcation:

Preparation for abap certification C_TAW12_731

Hi, I'm interested in getting the certification of ABAP Programing C_TAW12_731, but I understand that this is for the last version of Sap NetWeaver so I find this book http://www.amazon.com/SAP-Certified-Development-Associate-NetWeaver/dp/1592294359/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1410384823&sr=8… butit seems to be for Sap Netweaver 7.0
My Question is Where Can I find books to learn about the 7.31 version of Netweaver ?

a. Certifications are usually available for latest versions. contact sap education @sap.com for the same.
b. Am not sure if you could take the exam directly. you need attend academy @ siemens/genovate or work on a sap projects and let your company sponsor you.

Needed software for ABAP certification training

I am a software developer. I'm new to SAP, but exited about working hard to become an SAP Development Consultant. I plan to take the courses
TAW10_54 ABAP Workbench Fundamentals
TAW12_52 ABAP Workbench Concepts
which end with a certification test for
Development Consultant SAP NetWeaver 2004 Application Development Focus ABAP
I think I will need to have my own access to the development tools for my training outside the classroom. I have found that there is a download: SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - ABAP Trial Version. My questions are:
- Is this download what I need to set up a development environment for training and testing the skills from these courses?
- Is there som other way to get access to working tools for certification training needs?
I will be very grateful for any info/tip on how to test Netweaver application development using ABAP.

I have recently passed my 1zo-051 exam and i am looking forward to taking the next step to become a certfied admin profession .I am not very sure as to how to prepare for the exam should i study dumps and ebooks or should i go for practical training download the software set it up from scratch and learn ?

'Dumps' is short for Brain Dumps and these are not valid preparation materials. Using them can cause you to be banned from the Oracle certification program.

There's a new guide available for this test not mentioned in the supplied thread:
"Study Guide for 1Z0-050: Oracle Database 11g: New Features for Administrators: Oracle Certification Prep"
It's available at Amazon.com. Be aware that it is very condensed -- it's a study guide rather than a textbook. It should not be the sole source of your preparation for this test. On the plus side, I don't believe it to have near the number of errors that exist in the Oracle Press book for this test. You can also borrow it for free if you have a Kindle and are an Amazon Prime member.

Hi Sujeet,
Concentrate more on the Competency Areas mentioned in the sap.com for the specified exam. Questions will come only from those competency areas mentioned there. All the topics do not hold same weightage. For some topics, it is more and for less it is less.
Go through the materials minimum of 3 times, if you can go through them for 5 times, then you are safe.

Well , you won't go for shopping when there are already guests in your home , will you? In case, that didn't make much sense, I meant that you won't start reading books, pdfs, looking at websites when you are going to have an interview already scheduled for you. I can bet my money( whatever little I have) that even doing this, won't bring you any good. If your question directly or indirectly is related to the questions that the interviewer may ask, once again, this would be a total wrong approach to go for an interview. In almost no time, it can be find out whether you are speaking some crammed line or from yourself. I had a chance to sit on the other side of the hot seat and the guy in front of me was giving all teh bookish answers. I twisted the questions and I was sure that he must have not read them anywhere, guess what happened. he started fumbling and finally gave up.
Interview is what you know, what you have done so far. Its not to start picking up LOTS of books, looking for the questions/answers and just think that the interview will happen from that only. I have some questions whose answers, at least the complete answers , you won't find anywhere. My suggestion is to just go for the interview, be honest about what you know and more about , what you don't know. You haven't committed a crime by not knowing some thing. I know nothing and I am never scared from the interviews ;-) .

I have been working on swings for 18 months, till now i never attended any interview. I am having an nterview next week, i dont know what to prepare and how to prepare fo the interview. The only thing i know is how to use Swing components, i dont know theorytical part of it. Please some one guide me how to prepare for the interview.
