How to prevent Nike Fitness App from crashing on Nano?

I have a Nano iPod, 7th generation, OS version 1.0.3 PC. If I attempt to use the Nike Fitness App and follow the following procedure:
Run -> Time -> Custom -> <Choose a time non-divisible by 5, such as 21, 32, or 34> -> ... -> Start
Near the end of the duration (usually a minute or two) the application will just crash. Music will end and the app will not record any of the activity on that particular cycle. If a time is entered that is a multiple of 5 it seems the application works without issue. If the 'Basic' option is chosen instead of 'Time' the app works fine as well.
I have contacted Nike and they requested I refresh to the factory setting (which I did) and the issue was not resolved. Has anyone else observed this behavior and/or been able to resolve it? If not, is there a way to report this bug to Apple/Nike for verification?

If you want to rely on data instead of magic then check the crash reports as Abdul suggests. If you want magic then my crystal ball says that if it always crashes the app is trying to write to its install directory.
The install directory is writable for test deployed apps but not for apps deployed from the store.

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.

It could be that Restrictions are set on the iPhone to prevent deleting apps:
Open the Settings App
General
Restrictions (the button will indicate if it is on, and you will be prompted to type the security code)

You need to sync the app as you do everything else. Go to the apps tab and select it, then sync.

You have to be in a country, and have a billing address in that country, to download from its store. You can try requesting that the app be added to the Slovenia store, but unless the app's developer/rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

There is a difference in what Kappy stated and what you stated. A major paid upgrade (v2.x to v3.0), yes, costs money, as it would in any other delivery stream. Updates (v3.0 to v3.1) to a a major version are free.
Most apps sold through the Mac App Store (MAS) are the type that use the simple drag & drop installation. Those are downloaded directly to the designated apps folder and installation is done. Large pro-type apps download an installer to your Apps folder. Those you can install at your leisure. The MAS does not have a lot of apps using this type of installation.
Be sure to always backup your MAS purchases, because there is no guarantee that the app will always be available for download in the future and it is your responsibility to archive copies.
