Hi All,
I'm wondering that does anyone know how to prevent others use their iDevices to remote control my apple tv?
settings
1. the apple tv is in the school.
2. all students could access the Internet
3. The apple tv is sharing the same Internet with students.

The remote app uses homesharing, therefore anyone wanting to control an Apple TV with the remote app would need to know the home sharing ID and password.

If you didn't enable find my iphone in icloud settings on your phone, then you can't do a lost mode or lock your phone.
I would assume you had a passcode on your phone to lock it. If you didn't then start changing your passwords.
Report the lost to your phone carrier - local authorities.

How to prevent the use of wild cards in select-option

Hello experts,
Is it possible to prevent the use of wild cards in a select-option? If yes, how is it done please?
I have a
SELECT-OPTIONS: o_comp FOR dbtab-field OBLIGATORY DEFAULT 'FI'.
and, I want to prevent the users for giving in some thing like FI* with the wildcard bc it would lead to dump.
I want an error message to display and prevent the users for making such entry.
Please I need your help and I would be very grateful.

You have to use SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT to restrict input allowed. Call this FM in INITIALIZATION or SELECTION-SCREEN OUPUT sections.
Sample :

In the sample, only select-options for matnr is restricted to single value list.
For your request build a mode with all options except "pattern" ones : CP and NP.

How to prevent other users to send mails from SAP?

Our test system is a copy of the prod. We could not deactivate the mail job because it is also used by solution manager. So how can we prevent other users to send mails from SAP?

Then I will suggest trying this option out. In SCOT select the node for SMTP (depending on if you are using standard SAP node). Double click and a push button will come Now in the pop you will have option for Internet with a push button SET besides. Please go there. In the next screen you will find a filed for Address area. Now in this field give the value as *.sap.com
Using address area you can decide to which e-mail addresses is the mail sent to. Since the OSS message will go to <abc>@sap.com that is why I have suggested to use *.sap.com
I mean if you want that mails should be sent via SAP only yahoo mail accounts then you will give value as *.yahoo.com only. Same thing needs to be applied for SAP.

How do I match encore buttons with my remote control

So, I've made a menu in Encore and when I build the DVD and put it in my DVD player, the buttons don't work how I want them to with my remote control. For example, on the main menu (which I created in After Effects) I have two buttons (one above the other) - "Play" and "Chapters." To go from Play to Chapters on the main menu, I have to push the right arrow button on the remote instead of the down button.
Another example is my chapters menu (created with an Encore menu). I have 6 chapters buttons, plus a "next" and "main menu" button. The logical thing to do with the remote is press the down button when you want the one below, right when you want the button on the right etc. etc. but instead it's all mixed up.
Hopefully that makes sense . . . so how to I tell encore which button on the remote I want to be pressed to go to the desired button on the menu?

It is called "button routing." When the buttons are nicely lined up, "automatic" (the default) usually works well. But sometimes not. Also, if you move buttons around, you can change the numbering.
In the menu viewer, click on the icon for "routing." This will show you what "number" each button is, and what number button each remote arrow click will go to.
You can turn automatic routing off, and drag these numbers to set the remote as you wish.

How to prevent re-use of serial number?

Hi Gurus,
I have a serialized finished product.
During Goods Receipt from production order a serial number is assigned to it.
Now I'm doing delivery for that serial number item.
That serial number is again in available status, thus allowing me to assign the same serial number during the next Goods Receipt from another production order for the same finished product.
I want to stop the system from allowing the use of same serial number, once it is used. But it should allow me to use the same serial number when that particular serial numbered finished product is returned from the customer.
Help me in acheiving this.

Hi,
Check, if your serial number profile is activated for stock check with error in OIS2. Then status of the serial number will be updated correctly and system will not allow to reuse the same serial number. Also you can use user status in your order to prevent the same.

It's not possible to charge your account for your gf SMS messages, but you might look into Skype Manager: https://support.skype.com/category/SM_GETTING_STARTED/
Basically Skype Manager is an online tool which enables you to buy credit and allocate it to other Skype Manager members. It's mostly meant for business purpose, but for example I use it to manage my family accounts. I purchase Skype Credit and allocate it to my parents since they are not so tech savvy.

Has anyone ever used their iPad to remotely connect to a iMac and use programs like Photoshop on their iPad?

I had an iMac at home, but I've recently taken on some freelance work and they would like me to come into the office every now and then. I don't want to purchase a laptop and I know you can remotely connect to your desktop with an iPad, but I need to know if anyone has ever done that and successfully used programs like Photoshop on their iPad. Is there lag time when trying to use the software? Or is it just not possible and I should consider getting a laptop again?

iPads are not exact laptop replacements. If you need to be using Photoshop, then buy a normal laptop computer.
Using a remote access app on an IPad or any tablet conputer to remote access your computer to operate will be quite a lot slower and clumsier than just having a laptop with a normal OS and Photoshop application installed.

How to make two PCs (one local, one remote) control the same running vi at the same time?

Hi Labviewers,
I have a vi running, and two PCs are monitoring it, one is local and another one is remote.
I can see the remote front panel at the remote machine by using application property node, but it seems only one of the two PCs has the control of the running VI at the same time.
Is there any way to make the two PCs both have the control of the same vi at the same time? Switching back and forth the control between two PCs is really annoying.

What exactly are you trying to control?
Perhaps another approach? You could use "Shared Variables" from LV 8.0 and have a copy of the writer VI on each of the control PCs edit the value on the host PC. But as soon as I post, someone is going to talk about multiple writers to shared resources being a bad idea.... so just be careful or you may try to edit a value that has already been changed.
