How to print 8 copies of a picture on 10x15cm paper

As per title, really. If I select Printer Package then I just get some really limited options for paper that is too big, and all seem to want to scale the photo somehow. The photo is already correctly sized (4.5 x 3.5) and it should print out at this precise size (on landscape paper as two rows of 4 photos). None of the help I have seen seems to relate to version 9

One has to be careful here, as different posters use different versions of the program, and, obviousl;y, Adobe makes changes.
Here is a tutorial to make your own templates. The set-up is not populated with a single mouse click, but, once configured, one can save it as a file and uses it over and over again.
In order to tailor it for your purpose, substitute the numbers as indicated. See post #4 in this thread:

My thought is to copy the single picture file to the clipboard, then Paste into selection as directed (8 times in your case).

Hi,
i don't think it depends on the print layout designer.
when you print it you have the choice to select the printer and change the settings.
when your printer driver supports it you should be able to print it.

How to print a group of pictures?

I have 4 photos I need to print. I've set the image canvas at 288 pixels per inch and arranged the picture within a page that is 1746 x1048 pixels in horizontal view. However whenever I try to print they only fill about 1/4th of the page. How do I increase the size of the images/resolution so they fill the page?

If you're creating a document for print in Fireworks, I'd try setting the canvas to the dimensions of your page output (e.g., 8.5" x 11"). Then I'd probably import each photo (using File > Import) and define it as a Symbol. Once it's defined as a Symbol, an image can be resized freely on the page, with no loss of its native resolution.
Later, if you need to adjust the page resolution, you can use Modify > Canvas > Image Size.

I am having trouble finding a way to print more than one image per page with Aperature? Do they have other options like photoshop?

What I have done is use the book pages with my own layout.
The problem with this is you are hit and miss to get exact final dimensions for each of the images. You need to print and then measure. I used my laser printer to not waste ink and paper, then the Lineups are ok. Once you have your template sizes correct, then you are fine and it is repreducable for any picture package combo you want.
I have fussed with it so I can get 2 5x7s on a page with the correct dimensions.
The photobox property popup has aspect ratio, alignment and should also have a DIMENSION option. This would be super as the rest of the book page layout is pretty flexible.

Hi,
If you are using AirPrint, the default setting is to use the photo tray for photos and the main tray for all other printing. AirPrint allows very little flexability in this respect.
In order to increase flexability around papaer and tray selection, you'll need to download the HPe-Print app from the app store and use this.

Can't figure out how to print on the right side of a greeting card using a 5X7 when folded

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500A. I am trying to print a greeting card, but cannot figure out how to print on the right side of the paper so that it's on the correct side when folded. The paper is 5X7 when folded, 10X7 laid flat.

Welcome to the forums. I will try to explain this in simple terms, and you'll have to play with it. We'll use plain paper, cut to 10x7. You'll need a marker, 4-5 sheets of paper.
Lay paper flat, number top 1, bottom 2. Flip paper over right to left. number top 3, and bottom 4.Draw a line where the fold would be on each page.1) Put paper with number 3 side up in printer.
To create both templates using MW Office, do this. The requires 2 documents. One is graphic, one is text.
Text template: The text will be printed on number 2. That means your wording must be within the bottom half of the page.
Graphic template: The image must be rotated 180 degrees.The image must be within the top half of the page.
Print the text template. Insert side #3 into the printer. The text should print on side #2.
Print the graphic template: Insert side #1 into the printer. The graphic should print on side #3.
When folded, all should be correct, if I did it right.

Printing multiple copies of a picture on the same page

In the past I was able to print multiple wallet size pictures on one page. Now with iPhoto 08 there seems no option to do this. It appears that the only way I can do it is to make duplicates and then highlight them to print them. Does anyone know how I can choose a number of copies to be printed on one page?

For the record, I am trying to print 5 copies of the same photo in 2x3 size on the same piece of 8x10 photo paper. This article is giving me hope so I hope that someone can reply to this.
-I select the photo, hit the print button
-Select the 'customize' button
-click the 'settings' button and do not see the choice that you describe. The only options in this dialog are for title font, style and size.
Am I missing something? Did I need to do something prior to this? I am very hopeful for some help.

* It's just an alternative to copy/paste and step/repeat.
* For a one-time only use, perhaps it's a little more complex than necessary. But for any future needs, only the content of the data file needs to be changed, either by editing, or by pointing to a new data file. If different cards for multiple people becomes necessary, it's ready to go.

HP Photo Creations offers several ways to print multiple photos on a page. Here's a link to some preset grids. If you don't have HP Photo Creations already, you'll be prompted to download the software. (It's a free download.)
You could also start with a "Design Your Own" collage print with a white theme.
This video shows some ways to print multiple photos in HP Photo Creations to make them easier to cut out:

Assuming you have iMovie 11 (also known as Version 9.0.4), here is how you do it. (If you have a different version, let me know. The instructions will be different).
First, get an app called MPEG Streamclip, which is free. (google MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5)
Open MPEG Streamclip.
In iMovie, select the clip you need. Then, right-click/Reveal in Finder.
Drag this clip into MPEG Streamclip
In MPEG Streamclip, move the playhead to the frame you want.
In MPEG Streamclip, click FILE/EXPORT FRAME.
Choose JPEG, TIFF, or PNG and give it a name.
You can then use this photo in Photoshop, Pixelmator, Acorn, or the app of your choice to add text.
Here is a demo I made the other day for how to extract the still image using MPEG Streamclip.
