How to print an envelope

is there some way to print an envelope with a macbook pro?  searched for envelope but help never heard of the term.

Also try system preferences>print>default paper size has envelopes.  If you have Pages, there is a template for printing envelopes. There is also a template in Word.  Hope this helps.

  • How to print on envelopes C6/C5 with HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

With my printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 I want to print on envelopes C6/C5 (229 mm x 114mm or 9.0 inches x 4.5 inches).
The Officejet Pro 8600 support C5-envelopes and C6-envelopes but I could not find a comparable format C6/C5. Is it possible to make your own envelopes format and print on HP Officejet Pro 8600?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Grepolis,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you would like to be able to print on  C6/C5 envelopes.
I will be happy to help you.
You could install the Deskjet 9800 as a generic driver which you would have different features available to you.
    Making custom size prints.
Depending what operating system you are using. Here are the steps for Windows 7.
On the computer, go to start, devices and printers, select add printer.
Follow the steps, select HP and Deskjet 9800 from the list.
Set this one as the default printer.
Try creating a custom size envelope now with the generic driver.
Please let me know if you are not using Windows 7 and you need different steps.

  • How do I print an envelope to mail a letter in Pages on my iPad?

How do I print an envelope from my iPad? Did a letter in Pages (on my iPad), but can't figure out how to print an envelope for the recipient!

That is a problem.  Assuming you have an airprint printer, I find my connection to my printer never has the options one finds when using a computer.  Pages on the mac usually needs a template for the right sized envelope in order to print an envelope. Unless you have such a template in the ios version, I don't see how to do it.

  • Canon MX722 - How do I print an envelope?

I have a Canon MX722 Multifunction Printer and I can't for the life of me figure out how to print an envelope in this thing.
I tell Microsoft Word to construct an envelope and add it to the document so that I can choose a print mode. I then tell Microsoft Word to print and then choose Envelope in the Canon's Printer Setup Window's Commonly Used Settings List and then tell it to print. This is where I'm getting completely fouled up.
There's no instructions on where to put your envelope in the printer itself. Do I put it into the top tray (there's two paper trays) or do I put it into the bottom tray? If I put it into the bottom tray, where do I put the little paper alignment tabs?
I tried to set the printer up in a way that seems logical to me to print an envelope and the stupid thing sucked the envelope in and then gave me a paper jam error message. ARG!
I can navigate Windows, install drivers, reload Windows operating systems, and build computers from scratch with just a motherboard, CPU, RAM, etc. all in my sleep and yet... I can't figure out how the heck to print an envelope in this beast.
    Please help.

How can I print an envelope from a Pages document?

Not from a document, but there are envelope templates in Pages you can use.

  • How to print envelopes

I am trying to print on 7.25x5.25 envelopes. I have the envelopes loaded correctly into the tray. The correct envelope size is selected in Word. The printer gives me an error saying the paper is the wrong size. I double-check the size. I double-check that the envelopes are loaded correctly. Everything is correct. I still get an error.
On a whim, I turned the envelopes in the tray so they were wide instead of long in the tray. Changed the orientation. They were definitely loaded incorrectly. I tried again. The printer pulled an envelope in and printed on it. Except that the orientation of the print was the wrong orientation. It was for the orientation if the envelopes had been loaded correctly. I turned the envelopes again, back to the correct orientation. Tried again. Got another error. The paper is the wrong size.
No, they're not the wrong size. I load the thing correctly, and the printer tells me the paper is the wrong size. I load them  incorrectly and the printer will accept them, but then prints on them sideways.
    Excruciatingly frustrating!
p.s. I have seen other similar questions but could NOT figure out how to post a reply. I can see that posts have been made by other members, not just HP employees. There is no notice saying that the post is closed.
I am not in the mood for this. I can't print my envelopes. I'm trying to print the envelopes because the labels I have won't print properly. I can't find appropriate settings for the labels, or alternate settings for this size of envelope. As near as I can tell, all the information and settings are correct.
I need an answer now. And I can't figure out how to post a reply on the boards.
Would very much appreciate a reply.

  • How can I print an envelope from the template Cards and Invitations on my HP Laserjet P2015?

I have been trying to print an envelope in Pages 09 on my mac from the template called Cards and Invitations. I select a template that is 5.75 x 8.75 inches. When I go to print this envelope with my HP Laserjet P2015 and correctly load it as the manual says, using tray 1, etc., the envelope does not print correctly. The preview shows the correct orientation, but it doesn't print correctly. I have seen that many others have requested information about printing in Pages. Has this situation been corrected yet? The #10 envelope template under Business forms in the template section, works fine. My printer supports envelopes of various sizes, so it must be something in the software for Pages that is the problem. Perhaps you can enlighten me on this problem. Thanks,
    judithfromaz

    Judith
Perhaps you can enlighten us as to what "does not print correctly" actually means.
    Miss-spells your name? or what?
How have you set up your Page set-up?
It has to agree with how you are feeding the envelope in and what printer driver you are using.

  • How to print envelopes with correct orientation?

    Hi all,
This one has been driving me mad and, despite many searches for help, just can't find a solution. As someone who knows their way around most IT related problems it is also very frustrating!
The problem: How to print a DL envelope using Pages (or Word come to think about it) so that the text is positioned on the envelope where you would expect it to be.
Printer: Epson Stylus Photo R800 - although I would guess this happens to any printer.
Tried: I have selected the DL Envelope setting in page setup (11x22cm)and selected landscape. The envelope is positioned in the printer so that the smaller side goes in first (too wide to go in the same way a page of A4 would go). If I select print then the address details are printed at 90° to the envelope. If I choose portrait then the whole thing is messed up with the text flowing down the page (which is now shown as 11x22).
Strangely, if I do this in Word but go to Print Preview first then print it is fine.
Best option for me is to use Address Book though and click on the 'Orientation' tab, select the landscape option and everything is OK. Pain to have to use this each time I an envelope though.
I have tried everything in pages including leaving the page set to 11x22 and trying to rotate the text but this is messy and have not found an easy way to rotate text in Pages as yet!
Has anyone a solution to this or am I simply missing something that is glaringly obvious?!!
    Thanks all, Mike

It's really easy and it's perfectly described in the Help in the chapter entitled: *Flipping and Rotating Objects*
Create a Text Box (which is an object).
Type what you want in it.
Metrics Inspector > use the rotate button or enter directly 90 in the Angle field.
We may also do that without the Inspector.
Select the Text Box Put the cursor on the top_right handle
Press Shift + cmd while we drag the handle to rotate once of 45°
    Repeat the process 45° + 45° will give a 90° rotation.

  • How to print envelopes on the HP OfificeJet Pro 8600,

    Hi there folks;
Recently I ran into several folks asking on how to print envelopes in the same printer The HP Officejet 8600
Do to this I decided to provide both the instructions in this document as well as the links of the article where I refer to for the information. This way folks that want to have it quick and to the point can accomplish this by reading and following this article and any folk that want to dig deeper perhaps the article will provide more in depth information
    This is how to load the envelopes;
    I will provide the link of the Article where this information have been gathered from;
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02890475&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4323648&tmp...
Here the steps for loading the envelopes on the Officejet pro 8600.
Grasp the handle on the front of the input tray, and then pull the tray towards you to open it.
Figure 12: Pull out the input tray
Slide the paper width guides out as far as possible.
NOTE:If you are loading larger-sized paper, pull out the tray extension to lengthen the tray.
    Figure 13: Input tray extension
Insert the envelopes into the center of the tray with the envelope flap on the left and facing up. If the flap is on the short end of the envelope, insert the envelope into the center of the tray with the flap toward the product and facing up.
    Figure 14: Load envelopes
Slide the paper width guides in to rest against the edges of the envelope. Make sure that the envelope is centered in the tray.
Push the tray into the product until it clicks into place.
Figure 15: Push in the input tray
Pull out the tray extender on the output tray.
Figure 16: Pull out the tray extender
This is the explanation on how to load envelopes into the 8600. Hope is helpful
Now let’s make sure that the envelopes use are supported by the printer,
    This article will also provide you with envelopes support by this printers;

Is an important to properly load the envelopes as to use only envelopes supported by the printer.

On my OJ Pro 8600, When I go to print a # 10 envelope, it feeds the envelope through and then prints the address on a letter page.  I was forced to set the printer preferences to #10 envelope, and within Word, set the paper type to # 10 envelope, set Word up for center feed, and then put everything back to print normally.  ON my 6500 all I had to do was hit print.  There must be a way to print single envelopes without jumping through all these hoops!!

  • How to Print Envelopes - HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP

I can't work out how to print envelopes on my HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP.
I put the envelope upright (flap down) in the adjustable tray at the very top of the machine (as I have done in almost every printer I've used) and it prints the address on a sheet of paper!

    Hi goodgrandma ,
I see by your post that you would also like to know how to print envelopes.
I will be happy to help you.
Both the Laserjet m251 and M276 have a main tray only.
Above the tray is the jam access door to remove paper jams.
To print on the envelopes, you would need to remove all the paper from the main tray and load the envelopes in the main (bottom) tray, to print to envelopes with these two units.
If you are using Word Application, click on Tools, select Letters and Mailing/Envelopes and labels, the envelope box will open, in the envelope tab enter your address, click on Options, click the Printing Options tab, you will need to change the Feed from to Auto, it is likely set to Manual.

How to print envelopes in pages, How to print envelopes in pages

I presume you are using the Pages application, is that correct?
So start off by launching Pages and choose one of the regular envelope styles. Traditional works well for me.
Next go to the File menu and select Page setup. From the menu that says Paper Size select Manage Custom Sizes. In the resulting dialog, there should be a button on the left labeled "+". Click it. In the Paper Size area, select Width 5 in and Height 7 in. Name the size (where it says "untitled" something descriptive like "5 x 7 envelope". Click the OK button. The Paper Size menu here should now say the description you gave it. Click OK again. Your work area should now be a 5 x 7 envelope.
    Best of luck.
PS If you are using Word or some other program, the process is probably the same or very similar.
