  • Oracle rdf report format

    I want a help form you . If you can, please share.
    In a oracle .rdf report, suppose data are arranged in this format, like this
    RED     5
    RED     6
    RED     10
    GREEN     15
    GREEN     2
    BLUE     10
    BLUE     5
    but now, I want the report like this format:-
    RED     5
    ''     6
    ''     10
    GREEN     15
    "     2
    BLUE     10
    "     5
    How can i do this ? I am waiting for your early reply.

    In Data Model, find the group that contains your data.
    In that group:
    1. create a formula column named for example ”CF_set_value_color”
    2. create a placeholder column named for example ”CP_show_value_color” of VARCHAR2
    Outside the group; create a stand alone placeholder named ”CP_last_value_color” of VARCHAR2
    Now, create a PL/SQL procedure for your formula column ”CF_set_value_color:
    ”color” should be replaced with the name of the column that returns RED, GREEN or BLUE..
    function CF_set_value_colorFormula return Number is
    begin
    -- First row
    if :cp_last_value_color is null then
    -- Set values for placeholders
    :cp_last_value_color := :color;
    :cp_show_value_color := :color;
    else
    -- Second row and beyond
    if :cp_last_value_color = :color then
    -- If last color is the same as the current, show "
    :cp_show_value_color := '"';
    else
    -- If last color is NOT the same as this one, show new color
    :cp_last_value_color := :color; -- Set for comparison of next row
    :cp_show_value_color := :color;
    end if;
    end if;
    return 1;
    end;
    For each row the query retrieves, the value of “CP_show_value_color” will be RED, ”, ”, GREEN, ”, BLUE, ”
    Use that column for output instead of ”color” and it should work just fine.

    Hi Vanessa,
    maybe this blog helps for the tables:

  • How to print or save a webpage report?

    Hi all,
    How to print or save a webpage report? Not using the save spreadsheet?
    When I create classical report (no form link) I can see still see an edit (pencil button) . When I click the pencil button i gives me a page
    that is not updatable but the display is better to view for single record viewing. Unlike using spreadsheet which is not good to look and share to a user or client.
    How can I print this page please? or save it to file?
    In contrast to a classical report when I made one, it does not show this view pencil button. How can I configure it to display?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    you can do this by two ways
    1)If you want to print only current page,
    then go to region definition of your report
    In region header copy this code,
    <input type="button" id="PrintButton" value="Print this page" window.print()">
    this option helps you to print only the current page.
    2) If you want to create print button which is applicable for all pages of your application,
    then go to shared component->navigation bar
    create navigation to url
    Under Entry Display
    In Entry Label = print
    Under Target
    Target type = Page in this application
    Page = &APP_PAGE_ID.
    and check the Printer Friendly option
    Hope this will helps you,
    thanks

    Hi,
    I have the code to print barcode in a standard text. How should I include it in a report to get it printed.

    U must install the s/w which came with the Barcode Printer. This
    s/w will install the rqd fonts. In the report layout use this
    font for the columns which u want to print barcodes.
    hope this helps.

  • JDeveloper Team - How to print Barcodes from java application

    Try creating a page called launcher.html (for example). That does this:
    <html>
    <head>
    <script language="javascript">
    windowHandle=window.open("http://www.javasoft.com", "", "height=700,width=1000,status=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,top=5,left=5");
    </script>
    </head>
    </html>Now you launch IE (or whatever) with this page using the Runtime class. After x seconds (after the second window has been launched) try killing the process. Hopefully it will kill the original window you opened and not the window you popup (the one without toolbars etc)
    It might kill both windows but I can't be bothered to test it. If it does you'll have to try and find a workaround.

    Spencer is correct...
    but, watch out for the DEVICE you are reading the
    bar code with...the wand, bar gun...etc.
    what we had to do ( my team )
    was to put and "*" before the bar code
    and a "*" after the bar code for our gun to read
    the code...then is worked...
    patrick
    from the 3of8.ttf
    go to the control panel
    find FONTS and click on it
    once the program displays all your FONTS
    click on the menu FILE and then click on
    INSTALL. this will ask you where the 3of9.tff is located
    ..find the location,
    then install.
    in your oracle report,
    click on the FONT to install 3of9...blah..blah
    good luck

  • How do I use the Oracle Developer Reporting Control in Visual Basic 6.0?

    I was wondering how to use the Oracle Developer Reporting Control componant in Visual Basic 6.0 to generate reports in Oracle Reports? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Rohit,
    Would like to ask you some questions about the oracle report with Visual Basic.
    1. I have a report built in oracle report. Currently there is a Visual Basic program want to pass some parameter to this report. Can Visual Basic program pass the parameter to this oracel report?
    2. Based on yr answer, do i have to installed the oracle report? or just copy and register the Rwsxa60.ocx (i'm using oracle report 6i) in the PC? So can i use this activeX control.
    3. Is this activeX control similar to Crystal report object which can found in VB?
    4. Is there an example/guide on how the Visual Basic pass the parameter to oracel form?
    Your answer will be much appreciated.

  • How to print Barcode in te SAP SCRIPTS?

    Hi All,
    Can anyone of you let me know how to print the Barcode in the SAP SCRIPT? This is the first time I'm working on the Barcode. I've to print many fields data into one barcode. Like PO number, Material Number, Plant, Company code..etc..
    Best Regards,
    Venkatesh Eddala.

    Hello Venkat,
    Creating Bar code:
    -->From trans code - SPAD -> Full Administration -> Click on Device Type -> Double click the device for which you wish to create the print control -> Click on Print Control tab ->Click on change mode -> Click the plus sign to add a row or prefix say SBP99 (Prefix must start with SBP) -> save you changes , it will ask for request -> create request and save
    --> when you go to SE73 if you enter SBP00 for you device it will add the newly created Prefix
    -->Create a character format C1.Assign a barcode to the character format.Check the check box for the barcode.
    -->The place where you are using the field value use like this
    <C1> &itab-field& </C1>.
    You will get the field value in the form of barcode.
    Which barcode printer are you using ? Can you download this file and see.
    http://www.servopack.de/Files/HB/ZPLcommands.pdf.
    It will give an idea about barcode commands.
    SAP Barcodes
    -->Barcode solution consists of the following:
    barcode printer
    barcode reader
    mobile data collection application/program
    A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
    in machine readable format.
    There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. Luckily, you need not worry to much about that as the logistics supply chain has mostly standardized on 3 of 9 and 128 barcode symbologies - which all barcode readers support and which SAP support natively in it's printing protocols.
    You can print barcodes from SAP by modifying an existing output form.
    Behind every output form is a print program that collects all the data and then pass it to the form. The form contains the layout as well as the font, line and paragraph formats. These forms are designed using SAPScript (a very easy but frustratingly simplistic form format language) or SmartForms that is more of a graphical form design tool.
    Barcodes are nothing more than a font definition and is part of the style sheet associated with a particular SAPScript form. The most important aspect is to place a parameter in the line of the form that points to the data element that you want to represent as barcode on the form, i.e. material number. Next you need to set the font for that parameter value to one of the supported barcode symbologies.
