On my OJ Pro 8600, When I go to print a # 10 envelope, it feeds the envelope through and then prints the address on a letter page.  I was forced to set the printer preferences to #10 envelope, and within Word, set the paper type to # 10 envelope, set Word up for center feed, and then put everything back to print normally.  ON my 6500 all I had to do was hit print.  There must be a way to print single envelopes without jumping through all these hoops!!

  • How to Print Envelopes - HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP

I can't work out how to print envelopes on my HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP.
I put the envelope upright (flap down) in the adjustable tray at the very top of the machine (as I have done in almost every printer I've used) and it prints the address on a sheet of paper!

    Hi goodgrandma ,
I see by your post that you would also like to know how to print envelopes.
I will be happy to help you.
Both the Laserjet m251 and M276 have a main tray only.
Above the tray is the jam access door to remove paper jams.
To print on the envelopes, you would need to remove all the paper from the main tray and load the envelopes in the main (bottom) tray, to print to envelopes with these two units.
If you are using Word Application, click on Tools, select Letters and Mailing/Envelopes and labels, the envelope box will open, in the envelope tab enter your address, click on Options, click the Printing Options tab, you will need to change the Feed from to Auto, it is likely set to Manual.
What is the full name and product
number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
    Hope this helps.

  • How to print envelopes in pages, How to print envelopes in pages

How to print envelopes in pages, How to print envelopes in pages

I presume you are using the Pages application, is that correct?
So start off by launching Pages and choose one of the regular envelope styles. Traditional works well for me.
Next go to the File menu and select Page setup. From the menu that says Paper Size select Manage Custom Sizes. In the resulting dialog, there should be a button on the left labeled "+". Click it. In the Paper Size area, select Width 5 in and Height 7 in. Name the size (where it says "untitled" something descriptive like "5 x 7 envelope". Click the OK button. The Paper Size menu here should now say the description you gave it. Click OK again. Your work area should now be a 5 x 7 envelope.
    Best of luck.
PS If you are using Word or some other program, the process is probably the same or very similar.

  • How to print envelopes with correct orientation?

    Hi all,
This one has been driving me mad and, despite many searches for help, just can't find a solution. As someone who knows their way around most IT related problems it is also very frustrating!
The problem: How to print a DL envelope using Pages (or Word come to think about it) so that the text is positioned on the envelope where you would expect it to be.
Printer: Epson Stylus Photo R800 - although I would guess this happens to any printer.
Tried: I have selected the DL Envelope setting in page setup (11x22cm)and selected landscape. The envelope is positioned in the printer so that the smaller side goes in first (too wide to go in the same way a page of A4 would go). If I select print then the address details are printed at 90° to the envelope. If I choose portrait then the whole thing is messed up with the text flowing down the page (which is now shown as 11x22).
Strangely, if I do this in Word but go to Print Preview first then print it is fine.
Best option for me is to use Address Book though and click on the 'Orientation' tab, select the landscape option and everything is OK. Pain to have to use this each time I an envelope though.
I have tried everything in pages including leaving the page set to 11x22 and trying to rotate the text but this is messy and have not found an easy way to rotate text in Pages as yet!
Has anyone a solution to this or am I simply missing something that is glaringly obvious?!!
    Thanks all, Mike

It's really easy and it's perfectly described in the Help in the chapter entitled: *Flipping and Rotating Objects*
Create a Text Box (which is an object).
Type what you want in it.
Metrics Inspector > use the rotate button or enter directly 90 in the Angle field.
We may also do that without the Inspector.
Select the Text Box Put the cursor on the top_right handle
Press Shift + cmd while we drag the handle to rotate once of 45°
    Repeat the process 45° + 45° will give a 90° rotation.

  • How to print envelopes

I am trying to print on 7.25x5.25 envelopes. I have the envelopes loaded correctly into the tray. The correct envelope size is selected in Word. The printer gives me an error saying the paper is the wrong size. I double-check the size. I double-check that the envelopes are loaded correctly. Everything is correct. I still get an error.
On a whim, I turned the envelopes in the tray so they were wide instead of long in the tray. Changed the orientation. They were definitely loaded incorrectly. I tried again. The printer pulled an envelope in and printed on it. Except that the orientation of the print was the wrong orientation. It was for the orientation if the envelopes had been loaded correctly. I turned the envelopes again, back to the correct orientation. Tried again. Got another error. The paper is the wrong size.
No, they're not the wrong size. I load the thing correctly, and the printer tells me the paper is the wrong size. I load them  incorrectly and the printer will accept them, but then prints on them sideways.
    Excruciatingly frustrating!
p.s. I have seen other similar questions but could NOT figure out how to post a reply. I can see that posts have been made by other members, not just HP employees. There is no notice saying that the post is closed.
I am not in the mood for this. I can't print my envelopes. I'm trying to print the envelopes because the labels I have won't print properly. I can't find appropriate settings for the labels, or alternate settings for this size of envelope. As near as I can tell, all the information and settings are correct.
I need an answer now. And I can't figure out how to post a reply on the boards.
Would very much appreciate a reply.

Slide in the paper width guides

  • Return Address on Printing Envelopes

Hi, thought I'd try the built-in envelope printing feature in Address Book and found another anomaly. The return address will combine your address and the spouse entry - OK. But, I've found that it also adds in the father entry. Interestingly, it doesn't add in the brother or mother entry.
This generates the same anomaly if you select your own name to print an envelope, adding not only your spouse's entry, but your father's name as well.
I guess it's back to struggling with Word to print envelopes, but it would be nice if Apple would clean-up/debug printing envelopes within the Address Book. It's so unlike Apple to mess up something so simple.

    Thanks for the reply.
I went into Address Book (no option to create a new Address Book record in Mail that I could find) and created a new record with just my name and home address. I marked this as My Card (I guessed this is what you meant by make this my home address). I selected Print from File menu in another Address Book record. I clicked on Label tab in Envelopes option, selected my home address. I could see no option to select a different return address, although I did see the other font and color options.
By creating a simpler, duplicate record for myself, I can certainly fake out Address Book and print an envelope. But that's not my point. I could as simply use another application (Word or a dedicated envelopes application, for example) and work through its quirks as well. My point is if Apple is going to allow multiple addresses and names of family members in an Address Book record, I should be able to use them. I've already learned how to waste 20 minutes configuring Word to print an envelope. In an Apple database designed specifically for Addresses, with a selection to print envelopes, it should be no more difficult than selecting specific addresses, envelope dimensions, and print orientation to get it right the first time with no fuss. Being able to modify font sizes, color, drag a graphic on the envelope for customization would be nice, but the fundamentals need to work first.
I posted this question here to find out if anyone else has experienced my issue, confirming this bug in the Address Book, or more hopefully pointing out that I completely missed some not-so-obvious selection that was causing my printing layout problem. Since no one has, I guess the bug stands.
I'm disappointed because when I saw this functionality pointed out today in an online article, I thought I now had a way to stop having to refigure out how to print envelopes in Word three or four times a year when I need to send out a birthday card. It was when I went to try this Address Book feature out that I found it appending my father's name to my return address.
I guess I feel let down. It's a minor issue, and I can certainly create a temporary address to work around it, but it's disappointing that I have to.

  • Diagram on how to load envelopes

My printer is an officejet 4500 G510G-M and I have Windows 7.
When I load envelopes to print, the diagram on the screen tells me to put the flap on the right side; however, that is incorrect.  I need to load the envelopes with the flap on the left side.  My problem is I rarely load envelopes (only at Christmas time) and when I do, I run through a few before I get it right.  Is there any way of changing that diagram?

  • How do I print envelopes for everyone in my address book?

How do I print envelopes for everyone in my address book?  It seems so simple but after half an hour... no joy!!

I have spent most of the morning in a frustrating search of a way to print labels for my contacts. I have a couple of problems. I want to send every label to a different person at the same address. I have hundreds to do and most of them do not have a mailing address so I tried to do a bulk change of the address ... without  manually changing every contact there is no way to do this. I've tried to create a template with a table (10x2) and added merge fields to each of the cells but when I do a mail merge all I get are hundreds of pages with a page dedicated to each contact whereas I want to merge on a cell by cell level, i.e. 20 different contacts on the same page.
How do I do this? I can't find label style that is appropriate and I'm not sure how to create one with 10 by 2 labels per page.
