How to print from different wireless connection on same network

I can print wirelessly when I am in range of the wifi to which my computer and attached printer connect. However, when I go to a different wifi connection within the same network, I cannot print. How can I my wifi connections on same network talk to each other so that I can print from second wifi site on same network?

The problem is you loaded the printer directly and now do not have it plugged in.. so delete the printer in the control panel.. then setup the printer again.. this time connect to it as network printer. The bonjour should make it available as a network resource..
Tell me if you still run into trouble doing that. You may need to load the IP of the TC manually..
Window7 has higher security level than xp.. and that can sometimes also cause issues.
Are you using SMB compliant names for the TC, wireless and printer??
Can the windows 7 computer get internet via the TC? Can you ping it?
Look up how to reduce the security level in windows to match xp.. I don't remember the details but you have to do some nifty footwork.

  • How to print from iPad not connected to network?

I'm building an HTML5 app packaged with Cordova, and I have a requirement to print from the app when the device (iPad 2, wifi only) is disconnected from a network.
As I understand things, I can't use an AirPort printer because that would require a subnet (i.e. a wifi connection).
The only other option I can think of is a bluetooth printer - but there don't appear to be (m)any options to integrate via Cordova without writing my own plugins... and I'm not a ObjC developer.
Can anyone think of creative options?

This is a topic that might best be posted to the developers forum.
I would have to agree with Steven, however, I have never heard of an app that is able to access print services via bluetooth from an iOs device. Not saying it is not possible, but you would need a printer capable of accepting the signal via bluetooth as well. I suspect niether is a trivial problem to solve.

  • How to print from an Ipad2 3G without changing networks?

I bought my elderly parents an Ipad 3G for Christmas because they cannot get anything but dial-up service at their home for a computer.  We also bought an HP printer with AirPrint and e-Print.  However, in order to print to the printer, you must turn off the 3G network and enter a wireless network that the printer is on.  Well, going into setting and changing every time they want/need to print is simply to technical for them.  is there any way to print directly to the printer, wirelessly, using either the AirPrint or this e-Print that HP has?  Has anyone written a 3rd party app that will do this?  Why doesn't Apple fix this issue since people are paying very expensive prices plus monthly fees to have the 3G versions so they can gain internet access.  IMHO, without the ability to print to a printer while on the 3G and connected to the internet, the thing is near useless.  Apple has really dropped the ball, here, and I think that this is very unlike Apple not to have thought of this.
Does anyone know of an app that when you need to print and push print, will automatically switch to the printer network, send the file to the printer, and then swithch back.  I think this is a poor way to do this, but at least it is a way to do it that won't require my parents to get all upset trying to go into settings and fool with turning networks on and off.
    Thanks,
    JJ the mustang man

    JJ-
I do not have the 3G model.  Is this a real problem, or just one you are worried will happen?  I was under the impression that the 3G iPad would change its Internet connection between WiFi and 3G as needed, but would continue to print via WiFi regardless of how it accessed the Internet.

  • How to print three different Barcodes in the same line

I am trying to print Barcodes for three different fields in a single line, it is taking the combined one & printing only one barcode for  all those three fields.
When I tested it by printing them in diff lines, it is working fine. But the requirement is to  print all fields in the same line

    Hi
Look at this , may be useful
To Create a Bar code prefix:
    1) Go to T-code - SPAD -> Full Administration -> Click on Device Type -> Double click the device for which you wish to create the print control -> Click on Print Control tab ->Click on change mode -> Click the plus sign to add a row or prefix say SBP99 (Prefix must start with SBP) -> save you changes , it will ask for request -> create request and save
    2) Now when you go to SE73 if you enter SBP00 for you device it will add the newly created Prefix
Create a character format C1.Assign a barcode to the character format.Check the check box for the barcode.
The place where you are using the field value use like this
    <C1> &itab-field& </C1>.
You will get the field value in the form of barcode.
Which barcode printer are you using ? Can you download this file and see.
    http://www.servopack.de/Files/HB/ZPLcommands.pdf.
It will give an idea about barcode commands.

    Detailed information about SAP Barcodes
A barcode solution consists of the following:
    - a barcode printer
    - a barcode reader
    - a mobile data collection application/program
A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
    in machine readable format.
There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. Luckily, you need not worry to much about that as the logistics supply chain has mostly standardized on 3 of 9 and 128 barcode symbologies - which all barcode readers support and which SAP support natively in it's printing protocols.
You can print barcodes from SAP by modifying an existing output form.
Behind every output form is a print program that collects all the data and then pass it to the form. The form contains the layout as well as the font, line and paragraph formats. These forms are designed using SAPScript (a very easy but frustratingly simplistic form format language) or SmartForms that is more of a graphical form design tool.
Barcodes are nothing more than a font definition and is part of the style sheet associated with a particular SAPScript form. The most important aspect is to place a parameter in the line of the form that points to the data element that you want to represent as barcode on the form, i.e. material number. Next you need to set the font for that parameter value to one of the supported barcode symbologies.

  • Moving printer from direct USB connection to network

I am trying to move my printer from direct USB connection to the network by using my NAS' print server. I see it fine in trying to setup the printer, but the printer model does not show up as an option. How do I get it added? It is an HP photosmart 7350. Thank you in advance for any help. --Jeff

    Hi kayc_89_07,
If you still have the printer CD you can re-run and use the USB to wireless setup from there. If not, then you can manually add the printer. What operating system do you have?
You have to make sure first that your printer is connected wirelessly. You can print a Network Configuration Page from the HP product control panel. The page includes the product IP address, and MAC address as well as the product network status. Follow these steps to print the information:
On the HP product control panel, press the Wireless button ( ). The Wireless Menu displays.
On the Wireless Menu, press the button ( ) next to Print Reports .
The product prints a Network Configuration Page
Let me know so I can assist you further...

    Hi,
I'm not familiar with the activate access control so I wont be able to help you with that.
Have you installed the HP eprint app and tried to print from within the HP eprint app? I think the HP eprint app is your best hope for wireless printing from your device.
If both the printer and phone are on the same network, you should be able to see the printer within the app and print to it.

  • How to print from iPhone 3GS with OS 4.2.1?

    Hello,
I have searched and read through the discussion forums, but I'm not sure I understand how to print from my iPhone.
In reading the manual for the iPhone 3GS, specifically on page 44, it says the following:
AirPrint uses your Wi-Fi network to send print jobs wirelessly to your printer. iPhone must be connected to the same wireless network as the AirPrint printer.
My HP printer (Officejet Pro L7555) is plugged into my Airport Express so that I can do wireless printing. (I am also using an Airport Extreme for the WiFi network in my house).
When I have, for example, an email on my iPhone that I am reading, if I tap the "reply" button, I do see the "Print" option appear. When I tap on "Print", it brings up a screen where it says, "Select Printer". I then tap on that, and it will then say, "Looking for Printers".
The final outcome is "No Printers Found".
Since I am following the instructions on wireless printing as found on page 44 of the iPhone 3GS handbook (with OS 4.2.1 software), I'm not sure what it is that I'm doing wrong. I can print wirelessly with my iMac and my MacBook Pro to my HP printer just fine. Everything in my home is on the same network (my iPhone, iMac, iTouch, and MacBook Pro) that the printer is on.
I'm sure I'm missing a big chunk of the puzzle somewhere that the manual is missing. Can someone please let me know what additional steps I must take in order to print from my iPhone 3GS while I am at home on my own network?
    Thank you very much.

From one Andy to another Andy (LOL):
Okay, thank you for the information. I even searched the Store web page before asking my question, and somehow missed this.
Well, I'm not about to go and buy ANOTHER Apple toy just to print from my iPhone. For now, I think I can stick to the old-fashioned way and just forward it to myself so that I can print it from the iMac. I just got Apple TV a few days ago, so I'll have to wait a little bit for the next toy.
Thank you very much for the prompt answer.

  • How to print from a remote printer.

I have a HP computer in my office running windows XP connected by a cable to a Linksys router, also in the office is an HP all-in-one printer connected wirelessly to the router.  In the living room 50 feet away, I have another HP computer, connected wirelessly to the network, running windows XP and a smaller HP all-in-one printer.
I have been attempting to print from the office printer, using the living room computer, without success.  Every time I try, the living room printer prints the document.
Does anyone know how to configure these computers and printers to achieve the results I want, mainly printing on the office printer from the living room computer?
    Aloha, Bob

Go into Control Panel > Printers.  Delete either the problem computer or both computers from the list.
    Re-add them:
    1. Click "Start" button --> Printers and Faxes.
    2. Under Printer Tasks, click "Add Printer".
    3. Click "Next" button on the Add Printer Wizard window.
    4. Select "Local printer attached to this computer". Deselect "Automatically detect and install My Plug and play printer". Click "Next".
    5. Under Select a Printer Port option, select "Create a new port" and select "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "Next" button.
    6. In the "Welcome to the Add Standard TCP/IP printer port wizard" make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to same network that your computer is connected to. Click "Next" button.
    7. Under "Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" enter the printer's IP address. Click "Next" then click "Finish".
    8. Now, select HP from the list of manufacturers, select your printer from the list of Printer models and click 'Next' button.
    9. If you can't find your printer, you'll need to find the install CD and use the "Have Disk" option to select one of the hp*.ini files. Alternatively, you can select another HP printer model from the same type.
    10. Add the print spooler name and click "Next".
    11. Click "Next"

  • Printer keeps dropping wireless connection after working for a while

My computer stops being able to communicate with the printer wirelessly even thought the printer says it is connected to the network and both the printer and computer are on the same network. What happens is I connect the printer to the network and print something from my computer. Then, after a short while, half an hour maybe, when the printer shows it is connected to the network, I try to print but my computer can't find the printer. The message say the printer cannot be found. If I go to the printer, and reconnect with the wireless connection wizard I can print. But after a short time, I won't be able to print again and have to do the wireless connection wizard again. Wireless direct is off. Don't know if that matters.

These settings are for setting up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, keep wireless devices better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.
Set a static IP in the printer (click here) outside the DHCP range of the router (check your manual). This is for Linksys routers but can be used for all routers. Verify your DHCP range and change this first if needed. More Wireless Printing help is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
Verify in the printer that 'Auto Off/Sleep' is disabled.  Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by going to the printers IP address in your browsers address bar, click Settings Tab/Auto Off. Or use the Printer Assistant, Printer Home Page (EWS). Also check your Printers Properties.
If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, turn off IPv6 in the printer.
If needed and you assigned a static IP address, try using 8.8.8.8 for the Preferred DNS server and 8.8.4.4 at the Alternate DNS server.
In the router: (Refer to your router manual for information)
Use a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
Set router to 20Mhz only, or 145Mbps depending on router.
Always use WPA2-AES (Personal) encryption, but you can try ‘mixed’ mode.
Disable WPS and never use it and disable UPnP for the routers security. Nobody can hack your system now and helps with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, search the web).
If you have a dual band router (2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz bands), make sure the SSID’s are NOT the same, they must be different for all bands, even for any Guest networks.
    SSID broadcast must be enabled.
Save all settings. Power off both, wait 2 mins.  Power on router wait 2 mins.
Power on printer and verify it reconnects to router.
Windows 7/8/8.1   Is Network Discovery on or off?
Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network and Sharing Center/Advanced sharing settings.
Under Home or Work (current profile) / Network Discovery.
Select "Turn on network discovery" and save changes.
