How to print from iPhone 3GS with OS 4.2.1?

I have searched and read through the discussion forums, but I'm not sure I understand how to print from my iPhone.
In reading the manual for the iPhone 3GS, specifically on page 44, it says the following:
AirPrint uses your Wi-Fi network to send print jobs wirelessly to your printer. iPhone must be connected to the same wireless network as the AirPrint printer.
My HP printer (Officejet Pro L7555) is plugged into my Airport Express so that I can do wireless printing. (I am also using an Airport Extreme for the WiFi network in my house).
When I have, for example, an email on my iPhone that I am reading, if I tap the "reply" button, I do see the "Print" option appear. When I tap on "Print", it brings up a screen where it says, "Select Printer". I then tap on that, and it will then say, "Looking for Printers".
The final outcome is "No Printers Found".
Since I am following the instructions on wireless printing as found on page 44 of the iPhone 3GS handbook (with OS 4.2.1 software), I'm not sure what it is that I'm doing wrong. I can print wirelessly with my iMac and my MacBook Pro to my HP printer just fine. Everything in my home is on the same network (my iPhone, iMac, iTouch, and MacBook Pro) that the printer is on.
I'm sure I'm missing a big chunk of the puzzle somewhere that the manual is missing. Can someone please let me know what additional steps I must take in order to print from my iPhone 3GS while I am at home on my own network?

Okay, thank you for the information. I even searched the Store web page before asking my question, and somehow missed this.
Well, I'm not about to go and buy ANOTHER Apple toy just to print from my iPhone. For now, I think I can stick to the old-fashioned way and just forward it to myself so that I can print it from the iMac. I just got Apple TV a few days ago, so I'll have to wait a little bit for the next toy.

In order to AirPrint from your iPad/iPhone, here's all you need to do:
1. Make sure the printer and iPad/iPhone are connected to the same local network.
2. Open something you want to print (on the iPad/iPhone).
3. On the iPad/iPhone, tap the "Action" button (arrow curving out of a box).
4. Tap "Print".
If you have any issues with printing, below are some steps that should help you out!
1. Power off the printer.
2. Completely power off the iOS devices (hold the Sleep and Home buttons simultaneously until a message appears asking you to "Slide to power off". Slide across that bar, and it should completely power off).
3. Power the printer back on.
4. Power the iOS devices back on.
5. Try to print again.
Those steps usually resolve the issue. If they do not, try this additional steps:
6. Power cycle your router (usually done by unplugging the router’s power cord, waiting 20 seconds, and plugging it back in).
7. Make sure that the iOS devices and the printer are all connected to the same network, then try to print.

Thanks to searching the community I have got a result. Power off and reboot (press front home button together with top right button) = air print is now recognising my Canon air printer. This reboot is useful for clearing similar types of problems.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up your phone manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.

You can also back up iTunes and restore it on your new computer How to back up your media in iTunes , but the iPhone will be erased anyway during the first sync.

Syncing Voice Memos
iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. I didn't know how to get this across so I started a discussion (sorry).
Right, Apple has a big list of printers that are AirPrint enabled which allows you to print photos, emails and a few other things from your iPhone or iPadbut my Kodak wasn't one of them . I have a Kodak HERO 5.1 All in One Printer.
So, I thought how could I get round this?
1. Download Kodak Pic Flick and you can print your photos from there... Easy enough.
Now you need to connect your printer via Google Cloud...
Go to Kodak Home centre (On your desktop or applications folder) > Tools > and set up Google Cloud Print on the right hand side... Easy to set up...
2. To print emails from your phone download the 'Gmail' app and link other email accounts with your Gmail account if nessacery...
Go back to your Gmail app and press 'print' and you can print your emails from your mobile phone.

No problem I hope it helps. I've just read what i put back and it looks a bit confusing lol. Kodak are really good printers and as the advert says 'low ink cost' but i thought how the **** can i print from my phone? But... There's ALWAYS ways round things. Google have done a bit of a sneaky one but i don't care because I want to print to whatever printer not 'selected' printers.

I have 2 printers connected to my desktop. One is a WiFi and the other is USB. I am working with Windows 7 64bit. I have tried just about everything to print from my iPhone. Printshare requiers me to be connected to my home network so have to be close. Google Cloud Printer won;t even register my printers. I have a Brothe MFC6490CW (wireless) and HP Officejet 6490 All-in-one. Both printer work fine with Print Share as long as I am at home but if somoen sends me something on the golf course and I try to print it all I get is error message that no Air Printers found. Google is wothless in the help department and PrintShare is even worse.....

If that's the case, depending on who your provider is, and where you originally purchased the phone, you should probably begin your discussion there, and find out if you have an upgrade or exchange option.
If you've purchased the iPhone 4, and just want to sync and start using THAT phone instead? And have all of your apps, and music moved over there? Well... we can do that!

You need to remove and reinstall the latet version of iTunes so it installs the correct Outlook plugin. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
Make sure there is at least one contact and one calendar entry in Outlook before syncing or it will erase the contactsand calendar in your phone.

Error prevents importing photos from iPhone 3gs with ios4.01

I have about 2,500 photos (some videos) on my camera roll on a iPhone 3s with the latest ios4.0.1 I want to import them. I try and iPhoto 09 quits on me and I get a error box saying there is a problem with a photo that is being imported. OK - I guess I should delete it - but what file? there are 2,600.

I should add that the two iPods that we have ( not iPhones) sync correctly, though they are both seen as cameras, so I suspect that the problem is in the iPhone, and to recap, the songs the iPhone is displaying have shrunk from 6200 to 127 and when I try to sync nearly all songs come up with an error 50 banner. and sometimes iTunes tell you the iphone has all 6200 songs and sometimes only 127. Is there anyway just to clean off all the songs only from the iPhone, stop the 50 errors and just reload the music library ?

Problem printing from iPhone 5 with ePrint 7520 all in one

While this may have been addressed before....I cannot complete a print job from my iPhone 5 or iPad through the ePrint app using the 7520. The 7520 is brand new. All wireless connections are complete, the ePrint address is correct and does show in the ePrint app. All devices concerned are connected to the same wireless device/band (and using the lower band on a dual router). ePrint is enabled on the printer, and I have tried with the wireless direct enabled and disabled.
I repeatedly recieve the error message
Oops! We could not complete the job. Please try again.
Any suggestions??
