How to print lever arch spine labels on HP Officejet Pro 8600

how do you print level arch spine labels on HP Officejet Pro 8600?

SOTAP, sounds like you are having a dilemma printing these labels. First question, did these labels come with a program or CD that you use for printing? Most labels like those from Avery have a specialized program for formatting the labels for printing.
Let me know!

  • How to print on envelopes C6/C5 with HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

With my printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 I want to print on envelopes C6/C5 (229 mm x 114mm or 9.0 inches x 4.5 inches).
The Officejet Pro 8600 support C5-envelopes and C6-envelopes but I could not find a comparable format C6/C5. Is it possible to make your own envelopes format and print on HP Officejet Pro 8600?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Grepolis,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you would like to be able to print on  C6/C5 envelopes.
I will be happy to help you.
You could install the Deskjet 9800 as a generic driver which you would have different features available to you.
    Making custom size prints.
Depending what operating system you are using. Here are the steps for Windows 7.
On the computer, go to start, devices and printers, select add printer.
Follow the steps, select HP and Deskjet 9800 from the list.
Set this one as the default printer.
Try creating a custom size envelope now with the generic driver.
Please let me know if you are not using Windows 7 and you need different steps.

  • How can I Print a 4X6 postcard on a hp officejet pro 8600

How do I print a 4X6 postcard on a hp officejet pro 8600?  I've got postcards in the tray 1 slot on top of the printer, and have selected 4X6 card in the properties with both the auto select and tray one, but no matter what I do, it still prints out from tray 2 on 8X11 paper. Any help would be appreciated?

Hi, Please install the latest firmware from link below for the printer and try again. Assuming your printer is Officejet pro 8600 premium or plus http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-102210-4&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=4323648&sw_lang=

  • After installing latest OS update I can no longer print from my iPad to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer.  Any suggestions?

After installing latest OS 5.1 update I can no longer print to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer?   Suggestions?

Installing the new os may have tricked one of the three devices involved.  If it used to work, it will again.
Reboot the printer.   Reboot the router.  On the pad, general, reset, reset network connections.
Make sure all the devices are on the same wifi network.   Talk nice to it.

  • Air print on iPad does not connect to officejet pro 8600 plus

My macbook prints fine wirelessly to our hp officejet pro 8600 plus with an arris TC862 router. IPad, however, will not. Is there an easy fix that will not disrupt my computer's wireless connection because I did not find it easy to set up, so don't really want to redo that connection. bluetooth is off and ipad and printer are on same network.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
You may have already tried this but try restarting your apple device - It's a simple fix that sometimes helps re-establish the connection to the printer.
Other things to check would be that there have been no recent changes to the wifi password.

  • Printing starts too far down the page - officejet pro 8600

    Have an officejet pro 8600.
Recently, when printing, two probelms occur...
    (1) the document being printed starts printing approx 1.5" to 2" futher down the page then it should. This results in the bottom portion of the document Not being printed.
    (2) there is a crease/fold approx 3" from the top of the paper.
It appears that either the paper is being fed too soon or the actual printing is being delayed.
We have cleaned all the rollers and check the star wheel - no damages
    Thanks for your help

  • Printer won't print - HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus All in 1

    Hi,
Please can anyone help me ?
I have Windows 7, 64 bit HP computer with  a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus All in 1 Printer.
It printed over the network/wireless yesterday. I then had a problem scanning to the computer so I followed advice on the HP community and uninstalled and re-installed the latest software/driver for the printer.
Today it WON'T PRINT!! The printer has a connection to my router (Plus Net Technicolor N router) and shows the little symbol on the printer screen. I tried printing my work today and it says the printer is offline - it can't be as the printer is ON and has a signal connection.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, turned it on and off on the printer, I've restarted the computer, I've unplugged and plugged in all of it - the router, computer and printer. The computer has the green tick to say the printer is the default and it is ready. It then says to check the network connection or it maybe to do with the firewall settings, but these I haven't changed for over 1 month and I've printed loads of stuff between then and yesterday.
I desperately need my printer and short of going to have to buy a brand new one - I don't know how to fix it!!!
Please can anyone out there help me??!!!
    Help!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks for any helpful advice
    Victoria

Just to say as well that on the top of the 'X there is a problem printing' At the top where it says the printer - it has on it 'Fax - HP Officejet Pro 8600'
So it is trying to print from the 'Fax' part of the printer and yet when I change the printer device to the actual 'printer' part to default it always changes back to the 'fax' Officejet Pro 8600 Plus rather than the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.
I will uninstall all the elements to the printer and then find the latest driver to the printer and start again to see if that helps.
    Please help me!!!
Thank you for any helpful advice

Hi Jo-Winch  I hope you are doing well and welcome to the HP forum
    If I understand correclty.
    You are regiter to Eprint.
you already have an e-mail assigned to the printer
You are trying to send a print job thru that email and is giving the error that you describe
If that is the case then check if the email's sender (probably you) included a signature included in the email.  If thatis the case  Removed and try again.
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. I will do my best to help you.
    Hope this helps;

  • Scaled (Reduced) Print HP Officejet Pro 8600

Where is the setting in the Preferences dialog boxes to Scale print??  That is, I want to sent a print job to the computer, but I want it to print at something like 79% of full size.
I have found the setting on the printers front LCD panel for setting this when you are Copying, but I cannot find the setting in the computer software driver, ie "Printing Properties" or "Printing Preferences".
I just got this OfficeJet Pro 8600 to replace a Canon Pixma.  I have it all installed on a Win 7 x64 machine, and all appears to be functioning correctly, including the ePrint service.
This is not a budget printer, and I certainly hope HP didn't leave this setting out of their driver package.
    Thanks for any help!!

Spencer, thanks, again, for the reply.
I looked at comparable All in One printers from Canon, Epson, and Brother, and ALL of them have scaling in their print driver's "Print Preferences" dialog box.  But HP does NOT.  In addition, I was easily able to look at their documentation online to actually see visual and textual descriptions of this dialog box--something that I cannot find with any of the current/comparable other HP printers.
You don't have to "transform" anything.  Pretty much every software program accesses the print driver in Windows and allows you to select your Printing Preferences for that print job through the printer software.  If the driver includes a scaling/resizing option then it is EASY; if it does not (Like HP's driver) then you have to conjure up some wizardry to try and get it resized (like print it full size, then copy it on the printer with the reduce scaling--but this wastes an extra page of paper and ink).
I don't have time for wizardry every week when I print my work schedule to approximately 75-80% scale...I returned this HP 8600 printer yesterday and purchased an Epson Workforce 3540: couple more features for about the same price.  And I can keep the magic wand in the breast pocket of my wizard's robe when I need to scale my print jobs.

  • How or where do I find the printer year? HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus

How can I get the printer year for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus? I have looked in printer staus report and the various labels I can find on the printer itself. I'm sure I'm just missing it.I bought it new, so I do not have any reason to think the information was removed prior to purchase. Thanks

The printer status report has in line 47 the date (rounded to the week) the printhead was installed.  Except in the rare case the printhead has been replaced this would correspond to the date the printer was installed.

  • How do I print as a "reverse or mirror image" on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 model # N911a

How do I  print as a "reverse or mirror image" on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 model # N911a

I have spent hours figuring out how to print a t-shirt transfer since my new HP printer doesn't seem to allow for mirror image printing (yet my old HP printer easily let me select this feature).   Here's what worked for me, using Word 2010:
Create the text and insert any images  into the document as you normally would.
Go to Insert / WordArt and chose a style of lettering (I don’t think it matters what you choose since you will be cutting and pasting the data from 1 above).   A text box will appear and a new "double-decker" tab will appear at the right (Drawing Tools on top and Format below).
Copy what you created in step 1 and paste it into the text box.
Click on the Format tab (the cursor must be inside the text box for the Format tab to be visible).
Choose Text Effects / 3-D Options and then 3-D Rotation Options.  A dialogue box will open.  For the X value, enter 180.  Do not enter anything for the other values.  Your image should have rotated to mirror image.
Click Close and save your document.
You should now be able to print your document as usual.
    Good luck!

  • HT4356 I have two printers on my network.  Does anyone know how to change the printer nomenclature - Officejet Pro 8600  (0B54AF) to a recognizable name...like Brad's Office?

I have two printers on my network.  Does anyone know how to change the printer nomenclature - Officejet Pro 8600  (0B54AF) to a recognizable name...like Brad's Office when you use Airprint?

You would have to change that in the printer's settings on the printer, if that option is offered by the manufacturer. The iPhone just finds printers on the network and uses the name they have given themselves or that were given to them when they were set up.

  • How do I print 4x6 photos on an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus via Windows Photo Viewer or Gallery

Dear Experts, I've got an HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer with just one paper tray in which I loaded 4x6 photo paper.
The printer was purchased in January 2014, the latest drivers are installed. Now I would like to print a single 4x6 photo using Windows Photo Viewer or Gallery.I loaded the 4x6 photo paper  into the tray as indicated by the little icon labeled 4x6in, so I suppose I got the HW part right. It's just the SW part which gives me a hard time. The available paper size options in Windows Photo Viewer and Gallerydon't include photo paper sizes, just the standard paper and envelope sizes.Hence I checked in the HP Printer Assistant in "Set Preferences" what kind of paper sizes are available, and there is exactly the same list as proposed by Gallery, missing photo paper sizes. So I guess Gallery just picks the sizes from the driver and ther are no photo paper sizes. This is an issue because I prefer to print from my PC using Win 7 or Win 8 and not from a SD card or a USB stick. Any help is very welcome, thank you in advance!

Thank you for this link! Actually I installed a brand new Windows 8 system in January 2014 and then bought the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer a few days later. To install this printer I did not use the CD that came with it but already used this link. Just to be sure that I have the latest version I again reinstalled the driver. The result is definitive: You cannot print common photo paper sizes like 4x6,  5x7, 8x10, etc. via a PC using photo SW like HP Photo Creations, MS Gallery, Windows Photo Viewer or any other SW on a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. The reason is most likely that HP marketing decided that an Officejet should not be smart enough for photos, after all the company sells also Photosmarts. Because you cannot create your own formats  you are limited by the driver to what is typically available in an office, in this case:  A4, Letter, legal, Statement, Executive, A4, A5, A6, B54 (JIS), Envelopes #10-DL-C5-C6-A2-Monarch, Japanese Postcard, Japanese Envelope Chou #3-#4, L, 2L, O**bleep**u hagaki, Index Card Letter-A4, Edge-to-Edge Letter-A4, Env. Japanese No 3-No 4 and that's it, not more. Thank you anyway for trying to help me but in this case only the SW developers in HP can help.It would be great to be able to print from time to time a 4x6 photo on this printer like I would do.Copying photos on a USB stick or on a SD card first and then use this way to print on the printer is too cumbersome for me.
