  • How to keep file name in print queue when printing crystal report

    We are using VB .Net 2003 + Crystal Report 2008 SP2 up to Fix Pack 2.6
    When the VB program spools crystal report files to print queue, the print queue only shows "Crystal Report" for each document.  How to keep the original file name?  In the past when we were using Crystal Report 11, the original file name can be shown in the print queue.
    Please help because it's so important for operation to see which report is failed in printing when reports are printed in batch.

  • How do you set the Crystal Report Viewer Printer to Duplex

    Using the code below I can print in duplex mode, but this does not let me view a report before printing
    How do I set the Printer in the Viewer Control Bar of the Crystal Report Viewer to Duplex Printing programmatically rather than having to manually select Duplex through the preferences option?
    I have searched but the only example code I found produces errors in the code and will not run
    Private myReport As ReportDocument
    myReport = New ReportDocument()
    myReport.PrintOptions.PaperSize = PaperSize.PaperA4
    myReport.PrintOptions.PaperOrientation = PaperOrientation.Portrait
    myReport.PrintOptions.PrinterDuplex = PrinterDuplex. Vertical
    myReport.PrintToPrinter(3, False, 0, 0)
    In my VB6 Project that I am converting to VB.NET when I added Report.PrinterDuplex = crPRDPVertical, this allowed me to view the report and then print with Duplex without having to set the Print Preferences manualy
    I found 1386475 - How to set printer name and print job title at runtime using Report Application Server SDK for Visual Studio .NET
    But this causes errors
    Imports CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc
    Imports CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers

    Dim boPrintOutputController As PrintOutputController
    Dim boPrintReportOptions As New PrintReportOptions

    You can mix both engines, just declare them both with different report object names. Here's all of my references:

  • How to print a sytem profile report to a PDF?

    Hi,
    I know how to get to the System Profile, but when I press print, it only prints the first page.
    I know I can save it as a .SX report (or whatever the file extension is).
    I want to print it to a PDF.
    Once I get the .SX, can I open and print that file?
    Beth

    Files generated by System Information are XML files. They contain code, which needs to be interpreted by software to make it human-readable. Open the file with TextEdit or Xcode and you'll see what I mean.
    You'd have to find a third party application that is capable of reading XML files, making them human-readable and allows you to print the interpreted version instead of the source code of the file. I'm not aware of any such software. Maybe somebody else here on the forums can tell you more.

    How can I print and email a report with a logo?
    Is this possible??

    hi ravikant!
    im talking about reports, not forms.
    i bet se78 is for forms and oaer is for report.
    because my logo is displayed on screen, using html-top-of-page.
    but at the time of printing and email, internally, alv grid is converted into alv list, and alv list doesn't support having a logo.
    That's my know-how of the situation.
    Do you have a way with it???

  • Does anyone know how to discard printer information from a report?

    Hello all,
    We've got several reports in which printer info is saved in the report.
    We would like to remove that info programmatically from the report.
    Does anyone how to do that and to save this modified info to the report?
    I would be pleased to be given a code example.
    I guess it should be something like the fragment below, but saving this to the report doesn't seem to be doable.
    printOptions.SavedDriverName = printOptions.DriverName = "DISPLAY";
    printOptions.SavedPortName = printOptions.PortName = string.Empty;
    printOptions.SavedPrinterName = printOptions.PrinterName = string.Empty;
    printOptions.PaperSize = CrPaperSizeEnum.crPaperSizeDefault;
    printOptions.PaperOrientation = CrPaperOrientationEnum.crPaperOrientationDefault;
    printOptions.PaperSource = CrPaperSourceEnum.crPaperSourceAuto;
    report.ReportClientDocument.PrintOutputController.ModifyPrintOptions(printOptions);
    report.ReportClientDocument.PrintOutputController.ModifyPrinterName(string.Empty);
    report.ReportClientDocument.PrintOutputController.ModifyPageMargins(0, 0, 0, 0);
    report.ReportClientDocument.PrintOutputController.ModifyPaperOrientation(CrPaperOrientationEnum.crPaperOrientationDefault);
    Thanks,
    Henk Spaan.

    Hello Henk,
    You could simply check the 'No Printer' option in the report.
    From designer check File --> Page Setup --> No Printer.
    Or do it programatically.

  • How to print directly to Printer from Crystal Report Viewer ?

    Hi All,
    We are integrating our Java Web Application with Crystal report XI, currently using JRC and export to PDF for user to preview and print to local printer.
    Now there is new requirement :
    Some clients is using thin client terminal (no harddisk, only has OS +Browser in ROM), so I cannot install Acrobat Reader for them to preview&print the report.
    So I am looking at  Crystal Report Viewer, the question is : Can I print from Crystal Report Viewer directly to local printer without first converting it to PDF (because I can't have acrobat reader installed) ??
    Thank you very much,
    Krist
    Indonesia

    Hi,
    It can't be achieved through XI.
    JRCXI R2 SDK offers the ability to print the report server side
    using the PrintOutputController using printReport(PrintReportOptions printReportOptions) method.
    Here is the code(for XIR2):
    import="com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk.*"
    import="com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.*"
    import="com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.document.*"
    try {
    final String REPORT_NAME = "Inventory.rpt";
    ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
    reportClientDoc.open(REPORT_NAME, 0);
    //Create and set print options.
    PrintReportOptions printOptions = new PrintReportOptions();
    //Note: Printer with the 'printer name' below must already be configured.
    printOptions.setPrinterName("
    10.10.45.220
    BOBJ 2C");
    printOptions.setJobTitle("Sample Print Job from JRC.");
    printOptions.setPrinterDuplex(PrinterDuplex.horizontal);
    printOptions.setPaperSource(PaperSource.auto);
    printOptions.setPaperSize(PaperSize.paperLetter);
    printOptions.setNumberOfCopies(1);
    printOptions.setCollated(false);
    PrintReportOptions.PageRange printPageRange = new PrintReportOptions.PageRange(1,1);
    printOptions.addPrinterPageRange(printPageRange);
