How to print via printservices full sized photos?, How to print via printservices full sized photos?

I ordered some photos through print services, and they were drastically cropped, missing bits off the photos, they say I should have changed the aspect ratio, at customer services, but there are no intructions that you need to do this and no instructions on how to do this.  does anyone know please?

You should crop the photos to the same size ratio as the prints you are ordering.  That's because photos from digital cameras have a size ratio of 4:3 and that size won't fit onto  4x6 or 5 x7, etc., photo paper for borderless printing without losing some of the image.
Also I'm assuming you are ordering the photo from iPhoto on your iMac, right?

  • HT4356 I have just updated my Epson printer to one which supports air print but consider it to be a waste of money as my printer has two paper trays and there is option to choose which try...just "print"  How can I print photos via AirPrint from photo  tr

    Hi,
First-timer on this...Just updated my printer which was less than one year old, to one which had Air Print capabilities. This one is the Epson XP605 which has two trays, one being for photos. Each time I tried to Air Print a photo, it printed from the A4 plain paper tray instead of the Photo Tray.Twice...then I came into my study and changed the printer settings to Tray 1 (photo tray) Photo paper, size 5x7 and  Photo Best, but still it printed on plain A 4 paper. Would be most grateful for any help, although I did read on one Apple site that AirPrint may not be able to choose trays!!!! "may not"??  Thanks

I just figured out the print quality issue for my wife with her new iMac and new printer.
She replaced both at once and she couldn't understand why her Artisan 730 was lower quality then her Epson R280 when they had the same specs.
Turns out the newer printer had the option to connect via wifi which we used during setup.
The driver options are completely different depending on how you connect.
Once I connected via USB the correct options were available and the print quality was better.
Looking at the R2400 it dies not have wifi, but while researching the problem for my wife someone esle was having an issue updating to the latest printer driver.
If you go into the print utility from the Printer and Scanner system preference and under the general tab you should have driver 5.5.
One user had to delete the old printer driver before Software Update loaded the newer printer driver.

On my MacBook Pro (w Snow Leopard) I always had to reconnect my wifi at home when it woke up. I upgraded my router from an old Netgear to a newer N D-Link and stopped having to do that.
I would be surprised you would have that problem with an Airport Extreme, you might check to see if there is a firmware update for it.

  • For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. Nothing there about sizing.

For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. I don't see anything about re-sizing when I click the adjust tab: only saturation and tint levels. Thank you.

With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9.  It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions.  When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.

  • How do I print 4x6 photos on an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus via Windows Photo Viewer or Gallery

Dear Experts, I've got an HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer with just one paper tray in which I loaded 4x6 photo paper.
The printer was purchased in January 2014, the latest drivers are installed. Now I would like to print a single 4x6 photo using Windows Photo Viewer or Gallery.I loaded the 4x6 photo paper  into the tray as indicated by the little icon labeled 4x6in, so I suppose I got the HW part right. It's just the SW part which gives me a hard time. The available paper size options in Windows Photo Viewer and Gallerydon't include photo paper sizes, just the standard paper and envelope sizes.Hence I checked in the HP Printer Assistant in "Set Preferences" what kind of paper sizes are available, and there is exactly the same list as proposed by Gallery, missing photo paper sizes. So I guess Gallery just picks the sizes from the driver and ther are no photo paper sizes. This is an issue because I prefer to print from my PC using Win 7 or Win 8 and not from a SD card or a USB stick. Any help is very welcome, thank you in advance!

Thank you for this link! Actually I installed a brand new Windows 8 system in January 2014 and then bought the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer a few days later. To install this printer I did not use the CD that came with it but already used this link. Just to be sure that I have the latest version I again reinstalled the driver. The result is definitive: You cannot print common photo paper sizes like 4x6,  5x7, 8x10, etc. via a PC using photo SW like HP Photo Creations, MS Gallery, Windows Photo Viewer or any other SW on a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. The reason is most likely that HP marketing decided that an Officejet should not be smart enough for photos, after all the company sells also Photosmarts. Because you cannot create your own formats  you are limited by the driver to what is typically available in an office, in this case:  A4, Letter, legal, Statement, Executive, A4, A5, A6, B54 (JIS), Envelopes #10-DL-C5-C6-A2-Monarch, Japanese Postcard, Japanese Envelope Chou #3-#4, L, 2L, O**bleep**u hagaki, Index Card Letter-A4, Edge-to-Edge Letter-A4, Env. Japanese No 3-No 4 and that's it, not more. Thank you anyway for trying to help me but in this case only the SW developers in HP can help.It would be great to be able to print from time to time a 4x6 photo on this printer like I would do.Copying photos on a USB stick or on a SD card first and then use this way to print on the printer is too cumbersome for me.

    Hi kvsalazar24,
There is a program that comes with the printer named Easy-PhotoPrint EX that can assist you with printing photos.  If you do not have the program installed, it can be downloaded from the Canon USA website.  Please click here to go to the Drivers and Software page for the PIXMA MG2520.  Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
    1. Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
    2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "SOFTWARE" section and click the Easy-PhotoPrint EX file.  When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox below the DOWNLOAD button, then click the red DOWNLOAD button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
Once you have downloaded the file, please double-click on it and follow the prompts to install the program on your computer.
Once the program is installed, please follow these steps to print a photo:
    1. Open Easy-PhotoPrint EX.
    2. Once inside of the application, you will see a folder structure on the left-hand side where you can select a photo or image. Please navigate to the location of the photo/image you would like to print. When you do, all available images in that location should appear in the right pane of the window. Please note: If a screen appears with options to Photo-Print, Create an Album, Sticker Print, etc., please select the PHOTO-PRINT option to view the area with the folder structure.
    3. Underneath each of the photos appearing in the right pane of the window, you will see a n up and down arrow, as well as a "0". Please click the UP arrow once underneath the image you would like to select, then click the PAPER SELECTION tab at the top of the window.
    4. On the PAPER SELECTION TAB, please select the PRINTER, PAPER SOURCE, PAPER SIZE, and MEDIA TYPE, then click the LAYOUT/PRINT tab at the top of the window.
    5. Please select the desired layout from the left-hand pane of the window. When you do, a preview of what the image should look like when printed will appear in the right-hand pane of the window.
    6. Once you have selected a layout, please click the PRINT button. The photo/image should print.
If you still experience difficulty, please call or email us using one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.

  • How to get my photos printed with the full image?!

I just bought iLife and when I select certain cropped photos to print, the top of someone's head gets cut off in the the photo. If I change sizes of prints or rotate the photo, it cuts off different amount of head but never gives the full image. I did not have this problem with iphoto before I installed this new version. I need to have access to printing photos. I use Canon MP500, ibook G4 and Airport Express for wireless printing. I think the prob is iLife cuz it didn't do this before in iPhoto and I have no prob with other applications. Help!!!!!!

Select the photo you want to print, and click on Edit. Then click on Crop, and a drop-down menu will appear. Use this menu to select the photo size that you want to print. Then use the cropping frame to get the photo the way you want. It is important to select the correct size of the printed photo because the ratios of length to width are not the same from one size to another. For example, a 4 x 3 is closer in shape to a square than is a 5 x 7. You might have to try different photo sizes from the drop-down menu to get he result you want.

  • How do I order prints from Apple via my iPad photos?

I am 88 years old and want to order prints from Apple from my photos on my iPad. how do I do this?

One way would be to acquire the iPhoto app for your iPad from the App Store.  You could even create photo books using that app!

  • How do i print pics sent via e-mail on 8 1/2 x 11 versus photo paper

I sent a pic via e-mail and my printer keeps telling me to add photo paper??  I just want it to print out on regular paper... 8 1/2 x 11.  Are there settings to make this happen automatically?

    Hello tj211,
ePrint settings can be changed by logging into ePrintCenter, and selecting print options on the left side of the ePrint panel. Here you will find settings for color options and paper size. Print options only apply to documents not photos. Photo files will always be printed in 4x6”.

  • How do I get aperture to automatically insert a .png overlay onto incoming photos from a tethered camera and constantly view the incoming photos in full-screen without retreating back into gallery?

As per the discussion title, I would like to be able to shoot with a tethered camera that will input images and display right away on my Mac on full screen, with each incoming photo display as such without ever going back to gallery view, and in each instance a .png graphics template is automatically overlayed on each photo that enters aperture such that when I print every photo the graphic template will appear on print.
Is aperture able to do this on its on? If so, how?
If not, is Apple script the only way to make this possible?

Would it then be possible to direct aperture tethered shoots to a folder where aperture will hot import, from which I can use action after import via the scrip as you mention?
I've seen it being done with my own eyes but I wasn't able to inquire more...
