How to produce digital wave

Just starting to build digital wave replace for counter signal in my DAQ.
I can't get logical AND result as shown in attachment.
In case of irregular pulses, How to build up or edit digital waveform more conveniently?

Hi Labmaster,
It appears to me that in your graph picture, you show "plot 0" offset from "line 1" by 1/2 of a clock period.
This would mean that for each clock period in "line 1" there are two possible states for "plot 0". That creates a
problem when trying to line up the data for comparison.
If you double the sample rate you could get back to a 1 to 1 correlation.
The attached example uses twice the number of samples for the same amount of data (as your example) and allows
you to select a logic operation on the two waveforms.
I hope this is helpful,
steve

  • How can i change analog waves into digital waves?

we had labview lab last week.. were doing fine if we have instructions unfortunately the professor will give us an exercise regarding baseband signals spectra.. were trying to download a trial software but we dont have any luck. the question asks for us to change analog waves into digital waves, measure the amplitude of the 5-th harmonic using spectrum analyzer.. i hope you can help me thnx..

After you are successful getting LabVIEW on your computer, put together something to at least show us you're up for learning.  Then we can guide you to a solution that you've developed (mostly) on your own.

  • How to produce a progressively encoded PAL DVD?

I've been tearing my hair out trying to get a conclusive answer to this. I'm trying to learn how to produce a PAL DVD that is encoded "progressively" and is not interlaced.
First I posted about it here in the Compressor forum, and then over at Ken Stone's forum.
To summarise , here's what I've been doing:
    1. Export from FCP using Compressor
    2. Apply the DVD preset
    3. In the Inspector window, click the Frame Controls tab
    4. Set the Resize Filter to Better or Best
    5. Set Output fields to Progressive
    6. Set Deinterlace to Better or Best
    7. Uncheck Adaptive Details
    8. Hit Submit and give your job a name
    9. Import .m2v and .ac3 to DVD Studio Pro
    10. Author and burn DVD
However, this is not producing a proper progressive encode - inspecting the .m2v asset (using VidoSpec) tells me that it is "lower field first."
Can anybody please advise? This is driving me crazy, and each time we issue a DVD reviewers pick up on the fact that it is not "flagged for progressive". Is this something that needs setting up as an option in DVDSP?

I need to read up about this topic also. I release Retail DVDs and have always shot in interlaced mode and released that way up until now
Now I am doing my first proper feature. I am advised to shoot progressive scan.
I am assuming from this thread that to produce commercial DVD that will play on all TVs and with all DVD players I will need to encode the final film to DVDStudio pro in Interlaced mode. (in other words in order to be played on all TVs the DVD needs to be interlaced not progressive scan. But to achieve a "Film Look" I need to shoot progressive. (I have not yet considered whether 24 fps or 25)
The film is aimed at a wide film fest, probably using a digital print, but I doubt we will get as far as transferring from High Def video to film (because of the expense) But I imaging the major market for the film internationally will be on DVD.
I am hoping to use a DOP, so hopefully will get more technical help there.

  • Need tutorial on how to produce video

I can't find this anywhere. I need to find a tutorial of some kind that will teach me how to produce video using still images and vector art among other non-video things.
It needs to be from the ground up as I've really only been poking around in it (and Premiere and Soundbooth) for about a week.
    Windows XP
    CS3 Master Collection
computer designed and built for the software

Man, I was hoping you wouldn't say CIB. I have the Flash one and while it's a little informative, I can't say I'm impressed with it. However, it may give me the foundation I'm looking for here.
I'm already fairly well versed in Illy; will just need to learn how to take that knowledge and apply it to video resolutions (this aspect ratio thing of 0.9 and 1.2 has got me spinning when I can't figure out how to properly view a finished product as it will be seen on something other than a computer screen).
Six weeks may be a bit too long. What I need first is basically something a tad better than a decent Powerpoint presentation for DV. I don't need to produce something right off the bat that we'll use for TV commercials; I just need to show the higher-ups that the money they invested in this software (that we were on schedule to buy last September instead purchased last month) was worth it.
I have no doubt that experience is a major factor here. But I'm barely treading water here. If I don't find a surfboard soon, I'll drown. However, based on what's been done for us by "professionals" in the past, the bar isn't set very high for me.
I haven't bothered with any of the GTA games. They don't make that for PCs, do they? I'm not a gaming console guy.
Dropping stuff in the project window I have down no problem; it's knowing what needs to be done beforehand to the files I'll drop there and how to accurately preview them that's raising my blood pressure.
Knowing I won't knock anything out of the park any time soon, I've started small: a 2.5 second "signature" to be placed at the end of a commercial or segment. Black screen, PS-treated background element with a minor scaling effect, and logo with a short wave file. I thought I had that relatively simple thing figured out, but I can't seem to find a way to view it as it would appear on a widescreen TV. It's just stretched and I can't tell if it just looks like that on my computer screen because of how that displays aspect ratio and it will look fine on our widescreens in the stores or not.
If I can figure out that 2.5 spot, I may just have a chance at figuring out how to create the rest of it.
Thanks for the good luck... I know I'll need it.

If I understand you correctly, you want the enveloping curve of the signal or the amplitudes of each period?
Some ideas, you posted too little info on the signal:
    * chop the signal with a trigger close to zero, then just take the max for each chunk
    * Filter out the carrier signal, use a bandstop filter of the frequency
    * Do an AM demodulation by multiplying the signal with a square or sine wave of the amplitude and phase of the carrier signal, afterwards do some lowpass filtering (40 Hz).

  • How to Print Digital Signature in Smart forms.

    Hi Experts,
Any one please help me how to use digital signatures in SMARTFORMS.?
Which are the tables used to store digital signatures and please any one have any demo program which prints the the digital signature using smartforms kindly let me know.
    Thanks,
    Sunil kairam.

    Hi Sunil,
After doing some research in sdn and other sources i found the following result...
Digital Signatures are nothing but graphics that we can store in SAP and use in our Smart Forms.
For Example you can create a .bmp file of your signatures, upload it via SE78, and then use it in your Smart Forms in your Footer Area as "Authorized Signatory".
The Logic in the Print Program can be something as follows -
    1. Maintain a Z Table having fields like PLANT, FORMID (Name of the SmartForm), USERID.
    2. Before calling the Form, the validation is made for the Logged in User with the Z Table created.
    3. If the User Entry exists in the Z-Table, the Form is called and the Signature Image is displayed in the Footer Block i.e. the Authorized Signature.
    4. If user entry does not exist in the Z-Table then the message is displayed "You are not the Authorized for Printing the Form" and exits the Transaction.

  • How to get digital signature for Google Map geocoding V3 in PL/SQL?

    Hi, Gurus:
Could anyone provide me an example about how to generate digital signature for Google Maps service v3 in PL/SQL? We tried to upgrade our program using Google maps service from v2 to v3. We are using PL/SQl on background to send request to Google for geocoding. We found some sample code to register with digital signature, but none of them is based on PL/SQl. Notice I used Google business client ID "gme-XXX" and wallet.

  • How to play a wave file through the DAQ board?

    Hi there,
we want to play a wave file that is saved on the harddrive via the DAQ board. Means we want to connect a amp to the analog output of the DAQ to amplify the sound and play it through a speaker.
We couldn't find any VI that does that. Can anybody tell us how to play a wave file, or perhaps even send us a VI that can do that?
Thanks a lot for your help
    Martin - Physical Optics Corporation

    Hi Martin,
The only example that I could find on how to do this was using our
older Traditional DAQ drivers version 6.9.3.  If you're using Traditional
DAQ drivers, the vi can be found here.
The example reads a 8-bit mono .wav file (an example .wav file is included in the .zip file) and writes it to the analog out of your DAQ card.  I've updated the
example to work with our newer DAQmx drivers and attached it here.
    I hope this helps,

How to send digital waveform, obtained by Function Generator.vi to the Digital-Analog Converter? What kind of subVIs I have to use for this? I have LabView_5.0 on MacOS.

The 6032 is not a GPIB board. It is a DAQ board board and has 2 16-bit analog outputs, 8 16-bit outputs (16 single-ended), and 8 digital i/o lines. I don't know what you mean that a MIO16/LPM16 is connected to it. There are a lot of example VIs that ship with LabVIEW. Select Find Examples from the help menu and look under Hardware Input and Output. LabVIEW 7 has some under DAQmx>Analog Generation and older versions of LabVIEW have them under DAQ>Analog Output.
