How to protect a form

I have created a form in Acrobat Pro which I'm sending to our dealers for personalization. They in turn will distribute to their customers. I have enabled the form to be edited in Reader for the dealers. This part works fine. What I'm trying to prevent is the customer changing the form once it's received. I tried saving a copy which removed the capability of saving the pdf but we were still able to make changes. I want to make this document unchangable at this point. Any suggestions.

Actually, several folks have reported that once the form has been complete and saved, it can not be filled any further. That would also be an issue with your scenario. As for activating for Reader Rights, the use you will make of the form would likely exceed 500 copies. That would violate the license (read section 15). Thus you would want to have the form filled out by hand (like print it and have it completed) or the data only submitted, the form not saved with data. All of this leaves your dealer option out unless they had Acrobat, could make the modifications, and then set security. Even then, security of the form is only so-so.

are you saying that your computer is autharized from guessing, or do you know it is becuase it says it. in itunes, go to the advanced tab and the last option in that tab should be either aurhorize, or de-authorize. What does it say?

How to edit task form generated from human task (.jspx)???

I created simple SOA application with simple Human task (from this tutorial http://redstack.wordpress.com/2010/01/08/human-workflow-in-11g/ but it doesnt matter) in JDeveloper. Then I generated standard form from human task (Human task -> Auto-Generate Task Form).
The question is, how to make own form? Not the generated default, but with my own logic...That form is jspx, not jsp, and thats the main problem, in this JDeveloper everything is a bit complicated.
I tried delete whole generated content, and just import my created file.jsp into jspx like below, but without result. How to import jsp into jspx? I dont want to completely rewrite my existing jsp into jspx and copy it over default...

Im using oracle forms 11gR2 and everything is working fine, but my question in how to make the forms url short to the end user.
For example my forms url is " http://localhost:9001/forms/frmservlet " now i want to modify this url as "myweb.gov.ae"
can anybody suggest me the possibilities to change to default forms url to our own url as mentioned in the above example.

You would have to either -
* edit the code pointed to by the new action attribute to
include the form
processing and email generation, or
* edit the form processing script to also include the insert
record and
check user name scripting
The former is probably the better procedure, since I suppose
you'd want to
do the check user name before sending the email.
Unfortunately, this means
you will have to get your hands into the code, or hire
someone to do it for
you.

How compatible is Oracle forms 6.0 with OCX / ActiveX components?
IFve got to very nice activeX controls (ctSchedule and ctMday)
from DBI-TECH(www.dbi-tech.com) but they donFt work properly
within Forms. They work great within VBA (word).
Sometimes they donFt display things well or donFt react to the
mouse in the properly manner.
What can be wrong os is Oracle forms not 100% activeX compatible.

I do not know much about Simply Accounting, however, if the Crystal Reports can be integrated with this software, then their tech support would be the best one to answer the issue with limited access to reports.
Secondly, if you can get an ODBC driver for your Simply Accounting, you might be able to create reports in Crystal reports (Again with no guarantee as Simply Accounting does not fall in the supported platforms for Crystal Reports).
I would suggest you to contact the tech support of Simply Accounting to know if there is any specific version of Crystal reports that works best with your software.
It is simple to create highly professional reports with Crystal reports and you can either refer to the help included with the software or can log on to SAP support site and download the Crystal Reports user's guide to get step by step instructions on creating reports.

Remember, most people don't have software for editing PDF files at all. They will not want to buy Acrobat just to edit your ebook.
Otherwise, I think you need to learn about form fields. This allows you to decide where it is to be typed in. You can allow filling and request editing is not allowed. You need to understand exactly what software can and can't fill in forms, and what can and can't save the result; it changes with versions of Adobe Reader.
Remember too that some software ignores your security settings anyway.

How to post a form to a servlet in CQ5.5?

I'm using CQ5 to develop some things. and now i am not so clearly how to post a 'FORM' and accept with a SERVLET.
I've seen this 'http://forums.adobe.com/message/4932739#4932739' already, and try it. But once i add a new <input /> like :<input name="age" value="age" />.

1).open the system/console/bundles and i can see the information of my servlet. include 'Symbolic Name', Version, Bundle Location, Exported Packages and so on. I think it already a service. right ?
2). change the selector to QAPOST for sling.servlet.selectors
3). add the slash "/" then submit and the browser show me "403 Forbidden"
4). without slash "/" before <action_attr_value>.POST.html, show me 'Status: 500', Message: javax.jcr.nodetype.ConstraintViolationException: no matching property definition found for {}age

How to publish infopath forms to open new and old form templates in sharepoint2007

Hi All,
My requirement is , we are having a form library with the Infopath form templated(V1) published.
Then we have added about 300 items using template(v1) into the sharepoint library.
Then client asked for the changes in form and we deveploped infopath template (V2) and published, able to create the items using the new template(v2).
But ,the issue is when we open item from the 300 items which are created with template(v1), its is opening using template(v2) and we are loosing the functionality of template(v1).
Can i know ,how to publish the form template to use both template versions and it should open the form with wahatever the template it used for creation.

Hi,
If you want the InfoPath forms for displaying the items in the list, then I recommend to click Customize Form button in the ribbon of the list to edit the form in InfoPath and then publish the form back to SharePoint.
After that, you will see there are three new forms(displayifs.aspx, editifs.aspx, newifs.aspx) when you view the list in SharePoint Designer.
Then you can create the custom action to navigate to the custom InfoPath form:

How to configure a forms 6i server

Hi
I am trying to configure an oracle 6i server for a college project and need some help. I have the documentation but its very confusing and not beginner orientated!
I am using windows XP. The forms server 6i,Apache and Jinitiator are installed in the following folders all on the same machine:
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2
C:\orant\FORMS60\server
C:\orant\jinit
How do i configure the Forms Server? I am connecting to a database over a network and the forms i am using are in the folder:
C:\orant\FORMS60\server
What environment variables should i change and to what?
What modifications should i make to the configuration files generated by th oracle installer i.e formsweb.cfg,base.htm and basejini.htm
As you can see i really need your help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ive looked over the base.htm file and formsweb.cfg file and they appear to be fine but i may be missing something,.maybe you can see something i cant in these files:

How do I bring form fields to the front or back?

I have a document with many form fields/push-buttons in order to create pup-up effects in an info graphic.
So I use fields to create a mouse-over hot spot, and others that pop up. Now, of course, the hot spot must be in front (or on top), otherwise it gets distracted in it's mouse-over function by the popped-up object (image) that lays over it. (The result would look like a flashing effect, as you roll over the hot spot.)
Now how do I arrange the fields?? Ich can arrange images and texts to come to the front or hide behind other objects. But in the form field editing mode there is no such option. Also it doesn't work to just cut and paste them, they re-appear in their former position, often behind the other fields.

The tab order effectively sets the z-order, but if a field is not read-only it will be set to the front if it receives the focus.

if there is a group of people in one table and the other table contains another group of people, and there is a relation between those groups, how to create a form or a report representing diagram for this relation. This diagram should be dynamic, when we change in the records of these people.

How to prevent dupilcate form submission in JSF 1.x application. As of now ,when the user clicked the submit button two times , application inserts 2 records in database.
Please suggest how to prevent dupliacte form submission without using Javascript. Kindlly share examples if any.

Your problem is not really double submission but the fact that your application allows double insertion. The fix is functionally easy but technically very cumbersome: before inserting, check if the data already exists. If you build in such a guard you also protect against other methods of causing a resubmission, such as the browser back button.
PS: what's the deal with the no javascript limitation? You do realize that when you use JSF you're tanking your application full of javascript, right?
