How to provide a list of Hierarchy-nodes for selections?

Hi specialists,
some of our users often want to use some hierarchy-node-values from one report as filter of a 2nd report.
For all non-hieararhy-values it is possible to do that using the clipboard.
But there seems not to be a way to do the same with hierarchy-nodes.
Is there any workaround to reach that target?
Btw: I'm talking about users using the BEx 3.5 Analyzer.

1 Businees Workplace->shared folder - create new subfolder name = WF_distributor
2.Then click on the distribution list in Businees Workplace.
say create Name = WF_Vliste

Enter Recipient (SAP User ID)
B.Wrkflow Builder
Find out the dialig step in which u want to use distribution list
Use workflow Rule 30000012 (SWX_READ_DLI).
Maintain the binding from workflow container to rule container.
Just pass the name of the distribution list from WF to Rule container.

Thanks for the suggestion concerning the file path. And certainly it would have been nice to have done this before beginning. However this is a project that has been around for quite a while, and the files have been moved into different bins. And now the project sequence is being revised.
So the problem is, worded slightly differently, how can I search all of the bins for the files that are used just by this sequence, ignoring the files which are used by other sequences? Or, how can I get a list of the file paths of the files that are used in the sequence?

Thanks for the reply; it doesn't add anything as RSA6 was one of the options I listed and this was my fall back option if there was no other special treatment for the COPA datasources.
I have found out why this, and other fields, are not available in KEB0. The program uses a Function called KERA_COPA_METADATA_INTERFACE within which there is a section that selects the COPA fields:

Despite all the snarky and misleading replies you most certainly CAN quickly and easily get a refund for an accidental purchase, and Apple has provided a way to request refunds for exactly this reason.
- Go to your Account information page in iTunes
- Go to your purchase history
- Click "Report a Problem" at the bottom
- Then click "Report a Problem" next to the app you accidentally purchased.
- This will bring you to a browser page with a pull down menu where you can select "Didn't Mean To Purchase This Item".

Since Apple explicitly offers the "Didn't Mean To Purchase This Item" in that menu they are obviously well aware of the fact that many such instances occur.
Since they don't have a confirmation screen or pop up a single inadvertent click could easily lead to a costly unintended purchase, and if they didn't offer just as easy a way to get a refund they'd be mobbed with suits.

How to find direct & indirect BW hierarchy nodes?

Is there a class or function module that would allow me to find the direct and indirect sub-nodes in a hierarchy?
For example, I have a time and version dependent hierarchy for company (coming from SEM-BCS).
I would like to pick a node (node A) and find out all the direct and indirect nodes beneath node A.
HIEID
+ Node A
+ + Node B
+ + Node C
+ + + Node D
+ Node E.
So if I input node A, I would get back Nodes B, C and D but not E (E is at same level as A).
I can loop through the hierarchy tables and find this, but I'm curious if there is an existing FM or method to do this already. No sense in re-writing existing code.

Thanks, that FM is very useful.
Because the hierarchy I was working with originates in SEM-BCS, I was able to use the BCS master data factory to ultimately get what I needed.
The BCS delivered logic can be viewed in CL_UC_SSCR_GENERATE_GUI and method PROCESS_USER_SELECTION. It uses the BCS selection context + the consolidation group (aka Hierarchy Node) to determine the lower level consolidation groups which must also be provided in the selection criteria when querying data.
It's more complex than seems necessary, but it's using the BCS hierarchy data rather than the BW hierarchy data, which is probably a good thing.

Insert new hierarchy nodes for key figures

Hi All,
In BI 7.0. when you right click on the key figure folder , you get an option called " insert new hierarchy node". Can anyone please explain what is this feature for. Is is just for reporting purpose where you can drill down for a particular key figure for more clarity. Thanks in advance.

This is for reporting purpose.
For example you have four key figures which consists the "TOTAL DEMAND".
Suppose TOTAL DEMAND = Purchase Requistion + Planned Order + Purchase Order + Production Order
We may provide hierarchy on TOTAL DEMAND, so that in display you may expand TOTAL DEMAND. When expanding TOTAL DEMAND it will show all four key figures with the total numbers in TOTAL DEMAND.

How to get a list of file paths for all files used in a project

I have a project in Premiere Pro CC which has a large number of bins. A sequence in one of these bins uses files from other bins. I am trying to find the locations of all each of the files used in the project.
1) Obviously I can select each clip in the timeline and show in finder, but there a lot of clips
2) The video usage associated with each file in the project would help. However
1. I haven't found a way to display only clips that have video useage if all of the bins have not been expanded.
2. Video usage shows usage for all sequences, so one would have to manually check the pull down for each file to see if it is used in the sequence in question.
3) I tried exporting the project to final cut pro xml. The path url gives me the information that I need. For some reason, however, when I do the export only one clip's information is there, not the information for all of the other clips in the project.
4) I tired an export for speedgrade and all of the file names are there. However the paths are not.
Basically I want to find all of the files in the project and relocate them to a specific folder for that project. There's got to be a way to do this but I'm not seeing it ....

I have an requirement to display in a pop-up window a list of production orders for a work center.
Does anyone know which screens/transactions would show this relationship?
Or better yet, does anyone know how to demonstrate this from the tables themselves?

The system I am working on is ECC 6.0.
For this system the values in the dropdown for the "List" field are "Capacities, Items, Order Headers, Sequences, Trigger Points, etc". But nothing that says PPIOO000 - operations and layout.

For system I am working in, I do get a grid display when entering a work center. It has columns like "Order, Material, Icon, Order Type, MRP cntrlr, etc." But no column with Work Center.

The only problem is, the XML form data only contains the first selection made. All others are discarded. This is the first thing I've ever done with the Life Cycle Designer but the product seems somewhat in a version 1 state. Lots of features but no depth. Any suggestions about the XML?

When we go to pa30 tcode, and input a pernr and press enter, we can see the list of infotype populated for the particular pernr with a "tick" symbol. I would like to know, how SAP identify the same. Is there any table in which these information is stored.

You can run a report named "RPLINFC0" to get list of infoypes which are used for a PERNR.

Unable to see hierarchy nodes for a hierarchy in Query designer

For IO 0GL_ACCOUNT, we have many hierarchies defined.
In the query designer when i am trying to restrict the 0GL_ACCOUNT with one of the hierarchy say Hier1 the corresponding hierarchy nodes should be displayed so that i can select any nodes of my choice and can restrict.
Strangley instead of showing hierarchy nodes,it is showing" [ ]" with out any values.Checked in RSA1 ,the hierarchy with all nodes visible perfectly.No authorization settings created on any of these hierarchies.
hierachy is in active state.
Appreciate any suggestions on this.

Before restricting you need to select hierarchy for the characterstic and tick the activate hierarchy display checkbox

Hierarchy node variable: select multiple values at once

Dear,
We have a hierarchy node variable (Multiple single values, optional) on profit center. If I launch this query in the BEx, it is possible to enter multiple single values in one go. However, on the web, it is required to insert a new row for each extra value the we want to select. However, when selecting a filter value on the web, it is possible to select several values at once (by checking a checkbox).
Is it possible to select several values at once in the selection screen on the web for this variable?

we recently had the same requirement and posted the question at SAP. their reply was : this is not possible. even through the exit it was not possible, due to the logic of the sql select when executing the query, it seems.
concerning the fact if this would be possible in a near future, there was no reply

How to write HTML code in Web Template for selection screen

Hello All,
Is it possible to write a html code in the web template html tag so that the output of the html is displayed in the selection screen, i.e before the execution of query.
I know that we can write html, which will be displayed once the query has been executed, but can it be done for selection screen.
if so, how.
My exact requirement is : to display a 2-3 lines of text in the selection criteria screen - sort of, various options available to user for entering values in the selection screen. I was thinking of putting this text using HTML code in the selection screen.

No, unfortunately nobody replied to this thread. So i assumed it is not possible to modify the selection screen thru html code.
Btw, as my requirement was to provide user with multiple answers on the selection screen. I did the validations on customer exit and popped an errror dialog when applicable.
