How to publish a Captivate piece to Import as Animation with Media Player Controls

I want to record a demonstration of an application using
Captivate 3. Then, I want to publish this as a flash piece. (swf).
Then, I want to "import as animation" into a WBT template using
Captivate. The issue I am having is importing the flash piece to
include the media player controls so the user has control of only
that flash piece. Usually, we get two swf files one of the main
recording and another of the skin (media player). I know I am
missing something either in my publishing options or somewhere
else.
Can anyone help?

You might try this. In the first project, click Project >
Skin... > Borders tab and DE-select the "Show Borders" check
box. This should coax the playback controls into the main part of
the movie so there is a single .SWF. You could then have the
playback controls present in the .SWF you insert into the second
Captivate.
Note that doing this will also cause the playback controls to
cover part of the movie.
I'm not sure how well the playback controls will work once
the project gets inside the second. So I wouldn't be too surprised
if they failed to work. But they might. So it's definitely worth
trying to see.
Cheers... Rick

  • How do i import music from windows media player to I-tunes?

can someone please let me know if there is a way to move all of the music i have in Media Player to itunes. Thank you

    * To import all the audio files in a folder, choose File Add Folder to Library, and then locate the folder containing the audio you want added to your library. The My Music folder (inside the My Documents folder) is often the default location for song files imported into other applications, such as MusicMatch.
By default, adding songs to your iTunes library places a pointer to each audio file in the iTunes Music folder; the original file remains in the current location. For information about copying files to the iTunes Music folder instead of referencing them, search help for "copying files to your music folder."
If the file is an unprotected WMA file and you have Windows Media Player Series 9 or later installed, iTunes makes a copy of the file in AAC format—or whatever format is chosen in the Advanced pane of iTunes preferences (in the Importing pane) —and adds it to your iTunes library. The original WMA file remains unchanged. You can't add protected WMA files or protected WMV files to iTunes.

  • How do I change the defualt grey scrollbar and the grey movie player control panel?

How do I change the defualt grey scroll bar sliders and the grey control panel for the movie player using Dreamweaver. Is there a way to change the color of these items using CSS?
    Any info would help.

I have not had to write any code yet.
Well that's going to have to change.  :-))
For Windows Media, set the autostart  attribute value to "false"  and "0"

If you can convert your WMV and FLV files to MP4s, you'll have video that can be viewed in all modern browsers plus Smartphones.

  • Import music from windows media player to itunes

I can't import my mp3 files from window media player to my ipod. Can anyone tell me in detail how this is done?

You'll first need to add the MP3s to your iTunes library since the iPod is not compatible with Windows Media Player. You can use, for example, the File > Add to Library menu to do this.

  • ITunes asking for apple ID when importing tracks from Windows Media Player

I have a friend who is a new radio DJ. I have convinced her that iTunes would be better to play her tracks from than WMP. What has happened is that iTunes has imported all of her tracks and albums from WMP but it is asking for her Apple ID for every track she tries to play.
Most of these tracks were imported into WMP from CD so why is iTunes asking for the Apple ID? How do I resolve this for her?

Are these songs MP3's or WMA files? What is the source of those songs? Did you rip from CDs into Windows Media Player? If you did then they shouldn't be protected files. iTunes will now have to convert them to an iTunes compatible file (MP3/AAC)
    I only use MP3.

  • How do I export FCP movie to a WMV format (Windows Media Player friendly)?

I am puzzled. How can I export FCP movie to a WMV format or Windows Media Player friendly?
    Thanks in advance.

You need a third party app to do this... AVI is the only format that you can export from FCP that's windows media friendly... WMF's can be exported with flip4mac... http://www.flip4mac.com Probably the best of the apps...

  • Problem with import files from windows media player into iTunes

When I have tried to import my .wav lossless files created under windows media player into iTunes I use File, add folder to library but when the action is completed I get all of the files under the heading 'unknown album' with 'unknown artist'.
Does anyone know that I need to do in order to include the artist and album ?
    Many thanks,
    John.

You'll first need to add the MP3s to your iTunes library since the iPod is not compatible with Windows Media Player. You can use, for example, the File > Add to Library menu to do this.

  • Am I allowed to publish an application with a Windows Media Player control in it?

Just like the title says, am I allowed to publish an application with a AxWindowsMediaPlayer control in it?
I don't want to get sued just because of this.
    Thanks!

The AxWindowsMediaPlayer is an interop to the Mediaplayer on the computer, it is not a control itself.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd564680(v=vs.85).aspx
Be aware that it is an old way, currently there is also a .Net class.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.media.mediaplayer(v=vs.110).aspx
You are not allowed to publish the Microsoft media player itself. (But why would you do that)
But why would you be allowed to use a windows form textbox in a program (which is a true windows component) and not a Media player interop if that is given to you as part of the framework or an SDK by Microsoft.

  • Importing Playlists from Windows Media Player

I was wondering if there was any way I could transfer all of my music from my Windows Media Player library, to my iTunes library. I have tried import on the "File" button on iTunes, but it didn't work.
    Dell   Windows XP

If it' sprotectged WMA files, no you can't add them.
If they are plain WMA (like RIPped from a CD) you can File -> Add to library and iTunes will import and convert them.

  • How to create a Listener to start/pause/stop a DIY media player

    Hi there,
I am writing a multimedia Advertisement application. Which will play a list of media clips one by one. HOWEVER, there is NO Button in it. Since this application is for cash register. That means whenever a purchase happens it will stop play the Ads and it will continue play the Ads clips afterwards.
So, I am thinking to setup some Listener on the player to listen to the control message from the till. As I said there is no GUI button, so I can not define the action listener as before.
How can I define such a listener ? any thought?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Ican,
Upon opening your Vi I am getting an error that says, "The file you are attempting to play has an extensions (.) that does not match the file format." What extension are you using? Are you able to play files with extensions that are compatible with Windows Media Playter? If so, then I would suggest converting your playlist filenames an extension that Windows Media Player is able to play.

  • I can't import music from widows media player to itunes!

I'm going crazy, I have tried every way of importing my music from my media player to itunes but to no avail. I have way to much music in my computer it would take forever to upload them all again into itunes. It has to be a lot easier than I am making it, someone please help me!

Ok, so I looked into my windows media player, it is version 9, but when I looked in my tools setting under "Copy" the box where it says to protect your music is not checked. I then went into the "Media Library" tab and set the access rights of other applications to full. I tried again to transfer and it didn't work. The options I am getting when I go to import music are .txt, .xml, or .m3u none of which work. So, I'm stuck again. Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!

Hi Neil, So here is a screenshot of the app when I downloaded it to Google Play (sorry about the blurry, didn't know how to take a screenshot on a kindle fire so I used my iPhone). I set it up a free app but when you create an app I only see that you can upload an APK file or upload an in-app file. I'm so confused on how Google play works. It is so different than iTunes and Amazon. I just want an app that is free with a free monthly magazine that we upload each month. Google play help couldn't help either :/

  • How do I import CD's with EMI copy control?

I am very new to the whole "digital music" thing, but since I bought my iPod I have been systematically converting my entire CD collection onto my iPod (around 300 CDs). I have bought and paid for every single one of those discs... I recently bought the latest studio album by Korn (See you on the other side), only to find that there is no way of importing it into iTunes because of the copy control imposed by EMI. Can anyone help me resolve this problem legitimately? The irony is that, failing to resolve this "properly", an honest, music-buying person will be forced to find some illegal way of converting my music to my chosen listening medium!! I have tried to use Exact Audio Copy, and I did manage to import the songs to iTunes, but they were all garbled - so either my settings were wrong or the software was unable to get through the copy control. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, Daneel, there is no way around the copy protection to get these types of CD's to import correctly into iTunes. Even if there were a way to get around the copy protection, by the "terms of use" of these forums, I can't discuss it. Most of us who most regularly in the iTunes/iPod forums make it a point not to buy these types of CD's because the record companies are denying us are fair use rights when we get use the CD in the manner we prefer. These types of discs can't even rightly be called CD's because of the protection. I would suggest that if the CD is new, you return it to where you purchased it. Politely explain to the store that it is defective as you can 't get it to import into iTunes & you would like your money back. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but this is the wonderful world of "digital rights management" that the record companies have forced upon us.

  • Importing from a different media player?
