How to publish a video on an iWeb Blog?

I have an iWeb site, with blog pages. I posted short (about 15 - 25 seconds) videos on two blog entries. The video on the first one is partly visible. The videos on the second page are replaced by the Quick Time logo, and invisible.
What is the problem and how can I solve it?
Thanks, Éric

If some of your videos are showing the Quick Time logo, then this means that not all your files have been uploaded to your server when you published your site.
Check to ensure that all relevant files have been uploaded.

    Hello there,
You can publish as MP4 from Captivate and then use any video converters to convert from MP4 to whatever format you need. But, as Lilybiri mentioned, there won't be any interactivity in the videos.

HOW TO PUBLISH YOUR WEBSITE ..FROM IWEB ..WHEN I USE TO USE MOBILE ME .. BUT NOW THERE IS NO MOBILE ME BECAUSE OF ICLOUD, AND ICLOUD DOESN'T SUPPORT IWEB PUBLISHING?

When MobileMe goes down the drain, you will need to move your website to standard hosting. Depending on your site size, I recommend A Small Orange, as the Tiny hosting plan they have is big enough for most iWeb sites and much cheaper then shelling out $6 a month for most of the other big names, and if you check out their forum, several of the members have coupon codes in thier signatures. Also, their customer service is great and very fast in getting back to you.
To upload, I publish the iWeb site to a folder, then using Cyberduck upload it to the host. Cyberduck beats iWeb's FTP uploader because Cyberduck only replaces updated pages, instead of uploading the entire site.
    I hope this helps!

  • How to embed Windows video files in iweb

I uploaded several videos to a web site using iweb for a fortune 500 company only to find out the wmv videos I put in didn't load because iweb uses a quicktime container for all videos dropped on the page. After spending a lot of time on this site (how to link video files, embeding google/youtube video) I finally came across another site that was very help. If you interested here it is:
    Home page: http://www.mediacollege.com/
    Embedded wmv files: http://www.mediacollege.com/video/format/windows-media/streaming/
Just drop in the html code and change the file names and location.
I'm new to mac and this discussion board has been very helpful. I hope Apple includes a way to embed windows file. There are too many PCs out there to ignore.
Macbook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)
Macbook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)
Macbook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I choose to ignore Windows use until I need to fire up my PC. I don't create files for WMP format, either.
You are leaving out some import "steps" when you say "drop in the html code" because this requires post-publishing edits with a plain text editor.
And the code shown is now out of date as Microsoft "change the rules" (again) for ActiveX content.
This page code would generate an ActiveX alert dialog asking the viewer what to do. Many viewers just click "No" and move on.

  • How to publish to .mac without using iWeb?

I have made my website at home and published to a folder on my portable HD. I'm now away from my home Mac, and, as seen in a thread below, I can't reopen in iWeb at work to publish to .mac.
How do I 'publish' to .mac? - is it as simple as copying the Sites folder to my iDisk? If I enter my iWeb URL will it link up with the iWeb pages/files I have uploaded to iDisk?
As you can tell I'm not a web designer!
    Thanks in advance, Lee.

Ah, so regarding the previous thread about editing
published iWeb websites, you could theoretically keep
backups of the respective data files with their
    websites?
Yes. And you should always keep such backups if you want to avoid having to recreate everything when something goes wrong.
I presume when the data file is replaced in the
Library the application opens up in that website,
rather then offering a choice of new templates?
    That's what should happen, yes.

  • How to publish a video at a high resolution to a lower resolution format

I have been developing a couple of software simulation with a resolution of 1339 x 712 and was wondering if there is a method for me to publish the file using a lower resolution for example 1024 x 768. Under Publish settings, is there a setting I can use. I can't seem to find it.

You need to rescale project, using Modify menu, but it will always lead to
    quality loss.

  • PC users can't see my videos in my iWeb blog, since I installed SnowLeopard

My .mov videos were visible by everybody (PC and Mac users) without problems until I updated my system to Snow Leopard. Now all my videos, old and new, are not visible for my PC friends. Here is the URL of my blog: http://web.me.com/cmorzier/Site/Blog/Blog.html There is a video in the last entry: Marché, and also in: Tango, Dansamigos and Bastidanse. Marché and Tango were published after the system update. My Mac friends can see them all.

Possible, but unlikely amongst the thousands of posts every day. ...If you think there's a bug that needs to be fixed by Apple, you can join the +Apple Developer Connection+ — the +ADC Online+ category is free, here:
...then you can use this to create a trackable problem report:
And no, you don't need to be a "developer" to join — just an Apple user who wants to make sure Apple knows there's a bug and have the ability to track its resolution.

  • How do I enable comments on an iWeb blog that is not hosted by MobileMe?

How do I enable comments on a blog that was created in iWeb and hosted by Go Daddy service?

You can install your own comment page using various methods...

    Example...
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/iWebMusicWebsite/Comment.html
The alternative is to move your blog to Wordpress and retrieve all your comments from MobileMe before it disappears...

  • How to publish video?

Okay guys well I'm kind of new to Premiere Pro CS3 and was just wondering how you publish a video?
The video I used in my video is a 1280x720 25fps wmv file.
To publish do I just go File > Export > Adobe Media Encoder. Then in "Present" i selected HDTV 720p 25 High Quality.
    Is this how you publish?
What I'm making is a tv show and there's an ad at the bottom with writing, shapes etc but they kind of look not high quality (HD)
    Anyway to fix this?
Btw, is there anything in Adobe Premiere Pro that will alow fixing windy noises? I've got some footage but you can hear wind so I want to get rid of that!
+ What is so different to After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro?
    Thank you sooo much!

First, you will need to think about what you want/intend, when you "publish" the movie. Do you want to Burn to SD-DVD, or BD, or do you want to upload as "streaming" content? There are a lot of choices to make initially. That will determine the workflow path that you use. Without that info, no one will know. Make that decision first, then ask for advice, predicated on your choice. Until then, the only answer will be, "it depends."
For wind noise, there are some Audio Effects in PrPro, but they are limited. There are some 3rd party VST plug-ins that can help too. There are more tools for this in Soundbooth, but for critical work, I strongly recommend Adobe Audition (if you're on a PC) and Pro Tools, if you are on a Mac. Much can be done to "improve" the Audio, but only you, though listening and tweaking, will ever know if it's "fixed."
As for the ads, again the answer is "it depends." Please describe, or better yet, post a snippet of the footage, or a screen-cap with the Program Monitor view, and tell us specifically what you want removed. Also, you will need to tell us the answer from the first paragraph above. That will help determine the best way to handle your desire to "remove" the ad.
AfterEffects is basically a very high-powered X-platform animation program. It does much more, but that is its main use to general users. Much of what it does can also be done in PrPro. One might have more control, or tools in AE, but PrPro can handle a lot of animation too. I use it, until I run out of tools to do the work, then move to AE. Is there something in particular, that you wish to do? That will help someone direct you to PrPro, or to AE.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Wanting to publish 2 differents sites through iWeb.

    Hi folks,
I have been trying to figure out how to publish two different site in iWeb using personal domain names. Is there somplace I can find a simple step by step? According to the me.com account, I should be able to host multiple sites, but I really can't figure it out. I'm not a tech person, just a creative person with some tech ability.
    Thanks so much!
    Nancy

You can only use one personal domain name using Cname with a  MobileMe account. Any others have to use masking which is not really worth thinking about.
Since MobileMe is closing down next year you may be better to move to new hosting where you can have as many domain names and sites as you want. Most of them offer free domain registrations...

  • How to use HTML Video for iPad in iWeb

I agree with all the advantages of HTML Video. How do you use html video on your iweb site?
I want my iWeb site video to be viewable on iPads.
I have learned the technique to use the HTML Snippet tool in iWeb to successfully post Flash video. I created all of my animations using Kenote's keyframe ability and have exported them to Quicktime and then have converted them into flash with Vertical Moon's Video to SWF. Then simply upload the SWF file to a folder on your idisk, then use the Flash Video insert HTML Snippet and insert the idisk url of the SWF file and you are done. What is the technique for HTML Video?
I have found some HTML video encoders, here are the links:
http://www.projekktor.com/ the technique is not clear to me and appears complicated.
http://www.brightcove.com/en/ this one is way too expensive at $99 a month.
http://jilion.com/sublime/video this one looks great but is not yet available and I am guessing it is a converter that will make your iMovie Quicktime into HTML Video.
I have all of the i-Apps and Final Cut Express (2 revs out of date). Can I get the proper HTML video file from these programs, unless I am missing something I don't think so.
Most people do not believe I made my site completely with Keynote and iWeb but here it is. http//www.falcon-pacific.com
Thank You Very Much for considering my question. I will put the results on my iWeb site and the exact procedure and acknowledge all the sources of the solution.

I want my iWeb site video to be viewable on iPads.
Your videos ARE viewable on a iPad. No need for explicit HTML video coding.
If you export your movies to iPhone that's all there is to do. You can do it in QT Pro/iMovie
And HTML Video is a HTML code, not the movie itself :
    <video width="480" height="270" src="movie.m4v" controls></video>
I use the iPad simulator in the SDK :
    http://developer.apple.com/ipad/sdk/
    Here's the result :
