How to publish a website created in Freeway in mobileme-iWeb

I created my website in Freeway,already uploaded it into mobileme, I don't know how to proceed from there. My domain name is already registered. I couldn't find any help in iWeb or mobileme. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me, thanks!

You publish to MobileMe. With or without a domainname.
The webpages should be in the iDisk > Web > Site folder.
To use your domainname, follow the instructions in your MobileMe account where you setup Personal Domain:

You create the usernames and passwords where you host your website. Made with or without iWeb.
Usually it's done in the controlpanel where you manage your account.

Hello Guys , I want to build my own website and I have iWeb software which I got preinstalled when I purchased my MBP. As Mobile me is out of service could anyone give an alternative way to publish my website. I have seen some Youtube videos for doing these but they didn't work. Some, of them are by using Dropbox account - saving file on my computer ...... . There is FTP but I don't have and know what it does. I just want to make,edit my website. So, please help me out ! When MobileMe goes down the drain, you will need to move your website to standard hosting. Depending on your site size, I recommend A Small Orange, as the Tiny hosting plan they have is big enough for most iWeb sites and much cheaper then shelling out $6 a month for most of the other big names, and if you check out their forum, several of the members have coupon codes in thier signatures. Also, their customer service is great and very fast in getting back to you.
To upload, I publish the iWeb site to a folder, then using Cyberduck upload it to the host. Cyberduck beats iWeb's FTP uploader because Cyberduck only replaces updated pages, instead of uploading the entire site.

How to Publish Multiple Websites Using Domain Masking

Let's say I have a mobileme acct called applesoranges, but then I decided not to use this name for my website. Using iweb, I have created a different website called blueberry.com, and was able to figure out how to set up my personal domain and then mask appleoranges so that only blueberry.co, appears.
I now want to add another website called strawberry.com. With one mobileme acct (applesoranges), is it possible to host 2 separate websites, each of which is masking the original mobileme acct? How does one set up 2 separate websites using iweb (each masking the original acct name)?

For every MobileMe account you can only use the personal domain name option and CNAME only once. You enter your first domain name into your MMe account and then go and set up CNAME forwarding at your domain registrar to forward to web.me.com. For any other sites that you create, you need to go to web forwarding. You set-up the other domain names by using masked web forwarding and point them to web.me.com/username/sitename and by masking these will just show your domain name address and not your MobileMe/iWeb url.
Make sure that you separate out your sites, as it will be easier. You can either duplicate the domain.sites files and have one site per a domain file or use a program called iWebSites to help you manage multiple sites.
You also have the option of not using MMe and you can publish to a folder instead and upload directly to each domain hosting space. This gets away from the problem of how to forward sites to iWeb/MMe.

How to Publish a report created by Oracle report builder

My colleague and I were trying to use the Oracle Reports Builder to replace our existing reports generator from our ERP system. We have already created the report in the Reports Builder from the development suite.
What we are looking for is a similar solution as the Microsoft reporting service;
1) create the company report templates
2) and then upload the template files to a location (e.g. folder on the server)
3) then all user in the company can access it by a web browser with some fields which they can enter some critiria (e.g. purchase order number).
4) then send to printer and the print out should look exactly like the template.
Unfortunately, we had very bad time on try to find out what we need and how to publish that Oracle report we created. We spent 15 hours on that but no result.
In that 15 hours we tried to setup the "Oracle report service", but at last my colleague said that wasnt what we looking for, the "Oracle report service" is for reporting the error from the application hosted on the server, not for publish the company report created by the "Oracle report bulider" .
We use Oracle Database 10g for the ERP quite a long time already. We had the Oracle Developer Setup, and the Application Server Installed.
Could someone please tell us what kind of Oracle service we are actually looking for. Any other suggestion and setup guides are also the most welcoming.

I previously created a website using yahoo and now changed the site and created a new one on iweb. I am trying to upload this site and it will does not work. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am using the ftp option. I have my passwords correct. I do not know what to put in for directory /path. Please help.

You'll have to contact your web host to know what to put in the directory/path field.
Also, if you are getting a specific error, please post it here. But you'll need the correct directory path before you can go any further and only your web host will know what that is.

I built a site using html db. Now I want to open it for the public to use. I created the tables, pl/sql and other code under one database schema.
I ran a export and imported only for 'run'. I can access the application from my machine. What's the link I should give the other users for accessing the site. (no authentication is necessary).

You are saying that you have already have a publicly accessible website. You could give your users a URL like http://yourhost:port/pls/somedad/f?p=APP_ALIAS, where APP_ALIAS is the alias you can give the application on the Edit Application Attributes page.
If you decide to do user authentication, you need to decide how you want users to be identified. Do you want to have them register and set up an account at your site. If so, how do plan to store account information, including passwords? After you decide what type of account repository to have, you would create an authentication scheme using the Application Builder and write an authentication function that is called from your application's login page (which you create in your application) to verify username/password.
I recommend that you closely examine the authentication schemes that are created when you create a new application. Then you should try the Create Authentication Scheme wizard with a test application to get a feel for all the flexibility you have. Click the magnifying glass icon on the Authentication Schemes report (after you create one or more schemes). Read the narrative description of the logic of each scheme to see what it does.
After you decide on your functional requirements and work with authentication schemes in some test applications for a while, let us know if you have specific questions.

How to access my website created with iWeb after hard drive replacement

I recently had my hardrive fail and it was replace with a new one. It just happened to be the only computer I used to create and update my website. I lost some photos that are on my website, but there are 1 or 2 photo pages that I can't download them back to my computer from. Is there another way to get them from the .mac server to my computer? I hesitate to create a new iWebsite for fear of losing the one that has the photos I want. Thanks

You should be able to access any of the files on the Idisk.
You will need to construct a new site and in the future you should backup the "domain" file located in your user library/application support/iweb.
If you had that file you would not have lost anything.

How to access my website created from another computer and location?

I am a beginner. My nephew made an e-commerce site for me using dreamweaver on a Mac. I purchased dreamweaver cs5 and have windows vista. He sent me the FTP address, username and password. I opened dreamweaver and am asking what to do to access and download the files?

The whole purpose of connecting is to download remote files to local so they mirror each other.
It describes how to up load but not download.
Download is the exact opposite of upload.
Select Remote View, select all files, click Get.
When I get to that point, that will download all the webfiles into my local folder rewriting everything there?

But you don't have any files locally which will be overwirtten, do you? Just an empty folder waiting to be filled with files from the Remote server.

How to publish my website - FTP files have uploaded onto SmartFTP but website is not found in

I have designed by website using Adobe MUSE, which is a replacement for an exisiting website, so I already have a domain name and a host. The host is with Amenworld and I have gone onto their website and followed the instructions, this is what I have done step by step.
- Designed the website on Adobe MUSE
- Downloaded Smart FTP
- Removed the files of the existing website
- MUSE - File - Upload to FTP host
- Logged into the Smart FTP using my username / password
- Uploaded the new FTP files
- The files appear and no error messages appear, but when I type in the web address it says page not found.
I am a novice to this, so please any help and support would be appreciated.

Are you using Muse's built-in FTP Upload feature to upload your site files or are you exporting the site as HTML and uploading through SmartFTP? Whats the site URL? Make sure you upload All Files to your site and not just modified. A Page Not Found (404) error just means that the requested file is not available at that location. Do you see an index.html when you log in through SmartFTP under the Remote Site files panel?
