Hi,
after doing deployment the model in the VC will be published in the Portal content.
You can define the path where you want to publish the Model in the Portal under portalk content in
(In VC) Tools->Options->Compiler->Deployment folder(mention the folder name in the portal content).

Hi,
I have a requirement that executes a visual composer model inside the CRM UI. Links can be created for BI reports (3.x and 7.x) - however I am not able to call the deployed iView from the CRM UI.
One idea I had was to some how call / or embed a VC model in a web template. Hence I can link it using the normal BI - report links thus when the web template is executed it loads the deployed VC model. However this is easier sad than done...
Any one had this reqiurement before?

Not able to deploy a visual composer model

Hi All,
i am having an visual composer model which is developed and working in one portal.
And when i try to deploy the same model in another portal ( same version and patch )it is throwing some error which is mentioned in one of the <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/936390">SAP Note 936390</a>.
Branch between 7824 and 40595 around line 0 exceeds 32K span
But my question it is the problem in nesting views, then it should not even work on the portal where it has been developed.
Please let me know if there is anything to be done to make it deployed in the new portal.

How to run visual composer queries in parallel?

We have a visual composer model which runs 6 bex queries in parallel.
When we run this, on the BI system (D21) we see only a maximum of two
work processes being used at any given time in sm66. As VC runs the 6 queries
in parallel we expected to see 6 work processes but we could only see 2 busy.
The indivisual run time for the query is as below which totals to 6.62 mins.
When we ran the model it completes in 3.5 mins which also indicates only a max of two of them
are running in parallel. If all 6 ran in parallel then the model should have completed in 108 sec so for
some reason only two queries are able to run in parallel.

Problem resolved.
The issue was due 2 thread limitation with IE. When we upped this to 10 , all queries started running fine.

How To Install Visual Composer

Hi,
this may sound stupid, but I am stuck:
How to install Visual Composer?
I have a Portal 7.0 and KM. Is it just an additional package? On which install CD is it? Can I install it now, after the regular portal is up and running?
I have seen the install guide, but I am missing the big picture.
Can someone outline the general steps and the prerequsities?

Hello Holger,
Actually if you've installed the Portal than you already have Visual Composer installed as it is part of the EP usage installation.
To access Visual Composer type the following URL:
http://<machine name>:<port>/VC (i.e. same as portal just replacing "irj/" with "VC" in uppercase).
Additional permissions and settings all appear in the insr.+configuration guide.

To open VC On your Portal Give URL Like:http://<hostname>:Portname/VC.
Ex:http://pwdf2825.wdf.sap.corp:50000/VC
will open the VC For you.
Prerequisites:
1.Install Adobe Flash Player (Possible Latest Version)
2.SVG Viewer
3.XML Parsar.
Go to the Link it will give you Info about VC:

Error when deploying Visual composer model in NWDS

Hello Experts,
I am trying to run Visual composer model from inside NWDS. I have included a Web Dynpro application (with a public part) in the VC model.
When the VC model is compiled, it successfuly compiles and completes, However when i try to deploy it, i get an error saying "Warning: Could not find file <file path> to copy"
Any pointers in this regard will be really useful.

Can you please test that all the VC SCA's are deployed on your server.
In order to do so, you need to go to the J2EE Home Page and then press the System Information Link
Go to the Components Info Tab
Here is the list of the Software components that should be deployed:

Error in deploying Visual Composer model

Hi experts.
We recently got problems with deploying our visual composer applications. It has worked well before. The compilation excecutes perfectly, but when the deployment starts I get the error:
"Error in executing a process for Flex compilation, Resource temporarily unavailable"

I had the same problem 2 months ago. Apply note 886209 (in the <compiler> element, find the <headless-server> parameter, and change it's value to true.Around line #146) and Deploy in VC must work.

Basically I do not have knowledge on this , earlier i use to send the URL lins to Portal consulatants and they use to publish in portal.
Now here there is portal consulatant, but i should deliver the same.
I created the folder
under that as per your information created the three sub folders with BW, ROLE< Work Set
and created under BW one i view .
But for linking as you said add to work set is not appearing when i do right click on the i view.
as mentioned the below , portal conete studio all the work where should i perform.
You create worksets in the Portal Content Studio using the Workset wizard, and then build structure hierarchies and assign content objects to the worksets in the Workset Editor.Right Click on the created Subfolder u201CWorksetu201D and choose the menu item Workset
I am giving trouble to you , i do not know that is why iam giving trouble to you. please can you elobrtae step by step.
