When i am connecting my server remotely,this message displays in the notification center "remote desktop services will stop in 5 days"

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Agree with the words of diramoh, you need to purchase both RDS and server CAL to get access for remote users. Also before configuring the RDS CAL you need to activate the RD Licensing server. 
As the error tells that there is no related licensing available after 5 days and before that you need to activate the server with purchased RDS CAL. For that you must call MS Clearing house with all the related license related document on hand and they will
help for your case.

    Though Bill is absolutely correct for most CALs, Remote Desktop Services does have its own special licensing server.  I haven't installed one on 2012, yet, but here is a step-by-step guide for 2008.

    But, the explanation of your environment begs the question - what are you trying to do?  You say you have a desktop OS and you are talking about Windows Server products.  In that light, your question does not make a lot of sense.

  • The number of client access licenses may be reset to five in Windows Small Business Server 2003

    Ran into an issue on the server after the power loss.
    My Client Access Licenses were reset to 5 with Maximum usage of 12. I have about 25 PC's and Server also hosts exchange, which now prevents users from accessing OWA and local profiles. After digging around and reading logs, I eliminated issue to the licensing.
    All the steps described in the  Article ID: 888818 do not work, since the licenses were never backed up in the first place. Resetting, did not help either, since it's looking for a file, we don't have.
    Additionally, the auto-populated solutions, were already tried with no success. 
    Please let me know if there is a way to restore licensing via original license key, provided on the machine, or I have to purchase it.

Every time an end-user triggers a Web service inside an Xcelsius dashboard to retrieve live data, a CAL is consumed for a period of 5 minutes. For that period, in a five CAL deployment for example, there will be only four CALs left for consumption. A five CAL deployment could support up to 25 users and additional CALs can be added to support a larger deployment.
    My question is as follows:
    How a five CAL deployment could support up to 25 users and what does it mean. In the first line it is saying that each CAL for a web service is consumed for a period of 5 minutes and how come it can support 25 users concurrently. Did it mean 25 web service connections inside a swf flash file or 25 different users to access a single web service through swf flash.

    The "Set cost controls" concurrent program is used in R12 to mass update the cost control fields on item costs.
    The cost control region is found by going to Cost management >Item costs > Item Costs
    The concurrent program lets you specify which items /costs should be updated by using various parameters such as cost type, item range, category range etc.
    And you can specify the source for the new cost control data and the new value for the fields.

    clients don't access a war file. that's just a package for the container to deal with.
    when the WAR is deployed, the container unpackages the contents and deploys the app. From that point forward clients use the deployed stuff. the unpackaged servlets handle requests from then on.

    The forever license is mentioned as "perpetual" otherwise its going to be on yearly basis. But , still I would be fully agreed with Fahd and would suggest that you discuss this your local oracle sales rep. I believe no one would pay the listed price and there can be tons of ways to do price negotiations and for all this and any other hidden paradigms, oracle's official sales is the best resource to check with. Anything said by anyone over here and elsewhere by a non-employee, won't be honored by oracle.

    I have a W2k8 R2 server setup with Remote Desktop Session Host and Licensing. This will be used to allow more than 2 RDP connections to a server. 
     Can someone explain the process from the client side, getting the license from the host/licensing server, then connect to the server they need to manage?
    What configuration is needed on the client/server side to know it needs check for a RDP license?

    How the connection works,
    The clients will first connect to Remote Desktop Session Host. The Session host will forward it to the License Server.
    You have the option to tell the Remote Desktop Session host to say which is the license server it should contact. Check this link below to see how to do this.

    All the CAL licenses will be installed and configured in the License Server.
    There are two types of CAL licenses - Per User and Per Device CALs. Based on the type of license available in the License server, the license will be obtained and the user's connection is forwarded to the Remote Desktop Session host server.
    If no license is available in the Licensing server, it will fail there.

    Dear All,
    In our company have license as below, but I don't know how to count license
    1. Oracle Database Standard Edition-Processor Perpetual 2
    2. Oracle Database Standard Edition-Named User Plus Perpetual 100
    Just in my opition,
    NO.1 for CPU on Server ??
    NO.2 have 2 choice
    1. Count by PC client connecting in same time have a limit 100 user can login ?? if over 100 client system will be disconnect by automatically ??
    OR
    2. We can intsall oracle client software in 100 PC only ??
    and also I using MS.Excel to get data form Oracle server need to buy Oracle client license ??

  • Software clustering with Client Access

    Hello,
    We are planning to by BO XI R3.0 with Client Access License. I heard that I can do software clustering only with user based or CPU based license and not with Client Access License. Could someone clarify me that can I do software clustering with Client Access License?

    Well from what I understand is if you buy XI 3.0 then there are generally 3 license types available which can be mixed in some cases.
    1) CPU license - unlimited users per system
    2) named users license - you are allowed an amount of users in the system unlimited sessions per user
    3) concurrent users where the license is based on the user sessions
    So for the client some clients like crystal reports have a user license others like deski/designer can login locally fine but if you want to access server components then they fall under the above restrictions based on the license of your server.

    I also would like to know how to purchase a LCCS license, however we are not an enterprise, but a startup.  A startup offering a service based on LCCS that hopefully will reach the threshold of "enterprise" status.
    As a startup going out for funding, we need to know the cost of bringing the LCCS platform in-house.  As we scale, it's important to know the economic trade off and timing of leaving the Adobe hosted service.
    So I called the number in the "Next Steps" panel to get pricing information.  The agent I spoke with would not talk to me because I'm not an enterprise, and he would not respond to a follow up email explaining the need for the info.  Then I called ConnectSolutions, the 3rd party provider mentioned on the LCCS web page.  The sales agent I spoke with knew nothing about providing a hosted LCCS service.
    So what does it take to get this information for Adobe?

    To send an email outside, you need to create a send connector in Exchange 2010

    You need to sort out your certificate and Exchange urls before enabling IMAP and POP. Both pop and imap services are disabled by default. You can go to services snapin and start the services by setting them from disabled to automatic.
