How to push only 2nd iCal to iCloud

I have two (2) iCal calendars on my iMac.  I want to push only one of them to iCloud.  Where can I find docs that will guide me through the process.  I already have an iCloud account.

cschwanenberger,
Are you using Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion on your computer? It is required to gain full iCloud calendar sync capability.
If you are using Lion, what calendars do you have listed under the iCal "Calendars" tab? Only data entered under the iCloud category will sync with iCloud. Any data entered under the "On My Mac" category will not sync with iCloud.

There are two separate calendars on ipad (ios 7.1) one for icloud, one fo exchange. I have tried a couple of calendar apps and while they do a good job of showing the events in the app - they don't push (synch) back to iCloud. Any thoughts on an app that will take my ipad calendars and synch them to a single icloud calendar/account?
    Thanks

    Hi
You asked about a recommendation for an app to paste a group of addresses into the To, Cc or Bcc fields of an email?
Our "MailShot Pro" app is the only one we know of on the App Store that creates special "group contacts" in your address book which contain all your groups email addresses, but can be used just like regular contacts from most of your favourite apps. We now have nearly 50000 people using it, and growing steadily every day.
Here is a link if you would like to know more “MailShot Pro” (itunes link).
A free version is also available if you'd like to try it out with a small nmber of contacts.
If you need any customer support just contact us at the website, we're always happy to help.

  • How can i synchronize my iCal with iCloud calendar??

How can i synchronize my iCal with iCloud calendar??

If you enable it in iCloud, it should sync atuomatically. Make a backup of it before changing anything.

  • How can I delete my iCal on iCloud

I have a calendar that has duplicates on it.
How can I delete that calendar in iCloud only?

You could delete them all at once by visiting iCloud.com on a computer, selecting the first contact, shift clicking the last, to select them all and then choosing delete from the menu under the gear icon.

  • I've upgraded my iPhone4 to iOS5 but there're no records show in my iPhone4 nor in the iCloud, but there're records show in my iCal. How can I sync my iCal to iCloud or back to iPhone4?

I've upgraded my iPhone4 to iOS 5 and selcted to use iCloud to sync my calendar. However, there're no records in my iPhone 4 calendar nor in the iCloud calendar, but I can see the records in my iCal from my iMac. How can I sync the records back to my iPhone 4 calendar or iCloud calendar?
    Thanks!

Thanks, but I checked iCloud and it has none of them.
If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.

  • How to restore only the notes from icloud?

    Dear Community,
I'd like to know how to use icloud on your phone, not on mac or pc, in depth.
I've done some research on my own and found out how, but I just couldn't experiment on my own since it might be wrong and remove all my current data, such as notes and contacts. So can you guys tell me if the information below is correct?
When you accidentaly deleted your notes:
    -Go to setting -> icloud
(at this point, your "notes" should be already on a 'on' otherwise it isn't backed up)
-Turn the "notes" off and back on, then your notes should be back.
*same thing with contacts and so fourth...
    Now here are my questions
1.If above is wrong, what is the correct procedure?
2.If above is correct, what determines the "back up point"?
does icloud backs up datas automatically or something? when I turn the "notes" off and on to retrieve my datas, how old are the back up datas?
If I were to force the "retrieving back up" by turning the "notes" off and on RIGHT NOW, would I have the same exact data that I have now, or would it retrieve the data that was automatically backed up sometime ago? (or does it even back up automatically at all???)
3.Do you have to turn on the "icloud backup" on Storage & Backup screen (setting>icloud>storage&backup) in order for everything stated above to work? or this totally separate backup system??
The reason why I have to know all these info in depth is because I use my phone for my business matter, and a lot of important information and contacts are saved... I do know that you can back up your iphone through itune, but that way you have to store the entire phone, also I can't be doing backup process every single day. so for stuff like contacts, notes, calender, I want to retrieve selectively at my will right away.
    Please help people!
    Thank you

It's not possible to selectively restore parts of the backup - it's all or none.  If you had been syncing your contacts, calendar and notes to iCloud or an app on your computer, just sync them back - it's automatic with iCloud if you set this in settings.
Your in-app history and data was contained in the backup you aren't using.  There's no way to retrieve them without restoring the entire backup.  For all you know, the problem causing the overheating was corrupted app data that you don't want back in the phone.

  • How do I get my ical on the icloud?

I have my ical on my imacs and I then sync them to my iphone.  How do I sync these to the icloud?  I am using OSX 10.5.8 and 10.6.8 on my imacs.  Once I have my ical info on my iphone is there away to get this info backed up to the cloud?  I have tried "backup to the cloud"  but my ical info does not transfer.

To sync iCal on your computer directly with your iCloud account you have to be running OS X 10.7.4 or later.  Once updated, you can set up iCloud syncing for your Mac calendar (as well as contacts and other data) as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.  To sync the data on your phone with iCloud you have to be running iOS 5 or later, then turn on iCloud in Settings>iCloud.  Then to sync your calendar and other data turn syncing On in Settings>iCloud (and if prompted, choose Merge).  This will upload your data to your iCloud account, and sync it with your Mac and any other iOS devices signed into this same iCloud account.
You can also back up your iPhone to iCloud, but this only creates a backup of your phone which can be later be used, if necessary, to restore you phone from.  It does not sync your data with your iCloud account or other devices connected to your iCloud account.

  • I have 528 contacts on my phone, but only 290 on my Icloud how can i move the rest over from my phone to my Icloud nothing is working

I have 528 contacts on my phone, but only 290 on my Icloud how can i move the rest over from my phone to my Icloud nothing is working

Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup to your phone.  Use this app to backup the remaining contacts on your phone (from your exchange account) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself.  Confirm that you have received the email on your phone.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), set this to iCloud.  (This will cause new contacts added to your phone to be added to the iCloud account.)
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your exchange account and turn off contacts syncing (otherwise you will end up with duplicates on your phone).
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from your exchange account back to your phone.  They will be added to iCloud and appear on icloud.com and any other devices syncing contacts with your account.

Thanks for the feedback Skhorchid.  Glad it worked for you too.
A bit later I discovered that Photo Stream was not working on my Windows 7 PC either.  If I opened the iCloud control panel and put a check in the box to turn on Photo Stream, and then closed and reopened the control panel, the check mark was gone again.  Also, nothing happened when I clicked on the options button beside the Photo Stream check box.  I already had version 2 of the iCloud control panel so I could not upgrade further.
I ended up uninstalling the iCloud control panel, rebooting, downloading a fresh copy from Apple, and reinstalling it.  This worked and I now have photo stream working on my Windows 7 system as well.

  • HT4967 how do i add an ical to my icloud

How do i add an ical to my icloud?
    Thanks,
    Todd

"iCal" was the name of the calendar app/program used before Mountain Lion, now it's called Calendar.
Since "iCal" is the name of an app, I don't know what you mean by "add"ing it to icloud.
If you mean you want your calendars synced to other devices via icloud, then you need to go to the iCloud setting (on iOS look in Settings, and System Preferences on a mac) and turn on Calendar.
To add a new calendar to the set of calendars:
If on icloud.com with a browser, click the Calendars button in the upper left, click Edit, then the + button.
On a mac or device, look for the same kind of thing.

  • HT1349 How do I set up a separate icloud account? Both my wife and I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad, but only one Mac. We are tired of our "stuff" getting mixed up together when we sync.

How do I set up a separate icloud account? Both my wife and I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad (1 and 3), but only one Mac. We are tired of our "stuff" getting mixed up together when we sync. Thanks much

You don't need separate iCloud accounts if you want to simply sync unique content to each device using iTunes. I have three iDevices using one ID and one iTunes library and each device has it's own content on it. You need to set up the sync configuration for each device. This is what I recommend.
First turn off auto sync in iTunes. Launch iTunes on the Mac and go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Click OK and then quit iTunes.
Connect one of your devices to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the device name on the left side under the devices heading.
Click on a tab in iTunes - Apps for instance.
Click on the Apps that you want to sync to that device.
Make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked.
Follow the same procedure for all of the other tabs in iTunes ..... Music, Photos, Movies and so on.
After you have finished making all of your selections, click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
When you are done, eject the first device and do the same thing with the other device. iTunes will now remember the sync configuration on each device.
You can change that configuration any time that you like by following the steps outlined above.
If you want to continue to auto sync, turn it back on in the iTunes preferences as described above.

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.
This is a picture of what it looks like now:

As you can see, the stuff circled in red doesn't give me an option to download from Cloud Beta because it already says "downloaded".
any way to get around that?

  • How do I get desktop ical calendars to appear in ICloud

I'm helping an office mate to get her new iphone, etc to work in concert.  We've updated her desktop to Lion.  Trying to get everything to synch.  What a royal pain.  I've been using Google Calendar and Contacts and Email for a year and a half with no problem synching everything across my android phone and multiple computers and ipads without a problem.  It's platform independant.  Everything can be web based.  What the heck was Apple thinking.
