How to put controller to a Flashmovie (swf) in Director?

I have imported a swf-file into Director. The flashmovie works perfectly. The only thing I need is a controller to the movie. I can´t find in anywhere. I can just find it to Quciktime and Realplayer. Can I find this in Director? Or do I have to do it outside Director in a nother program? And if so, how to do it! I need buttons like: play, stop, pause and more... I had been very graetful if anyone could give me and answre to this.

I got my flashmovie with controllbar working on the webpage. But I have several questions!
1. I put all three files on the server to get the movie playing. I meen the movie (.flv), the player (.swf) and the controllbar (.swf). Is this necessary to put all three files to the server?
I used Cute FTP to transfer the files.
2. When I import the main SWF file to Director, I cant see the movie. Its all black. But later when I have created a shockwavefile and html-file, I can see it the movie on the webb. Why is it like this. Its very hard to place the movie exactly in Director when I cant see it. Is there somting I have forgot?

I want to put some SWF files on a web page. I don't want them to autoplay, I want them to have controls, or at least click the image to play.
I read something about "skins" in some posts about CS3. It seems like CS5 doesn't insert a skin when you are adding SWF? How can I easily do this?

How to put the swf in sub directory

Would you guys let me know how to put the *.swf file which
has *.flv in sub directory other than root.
I've tried many things none of them working.
a regular *.swf are OK. But if that swf file related with
*.flv. that Swf has to be in root directory on the server.
if I put that swf in sub directory such as /swf then it's not
working.

It looks like this is for the certification, so I won't give you that much helpt. But you could use a modern IDE to do what you want, or use ant (http://ant.apache.org/) for building.

How to integrate a .abc file into swf by using mxmlc?

Enviroment: CrossBridge1.0.1, Flex SDK 4.6
I use g++ to compile 2 .cc files (the c2as wrapper) & a .a file (the logic) into a .swc file; then use this .swc as a library for mxmlc to compile the main .as file.
The Makefile is as follows:
"$(FLASCC)/usr/bin/g++" $(BASE_CFLAGS) -O4 -L. main.cc test_as3.cc -lmytest -emit-swc=sample.mytest -o mytest.swc
"$(FLEX)/bin/mxmlc" -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries -library-path=mytest.swc -debug=false MainView.as -o test.swf
everything is ok.
But when I add some function calls in .as file, it uses the CModule package:
in MainView.as:
import com.adobe.flascc.CModule;
CModule.malloc
CModule.writeBytes
CModule.free
the mxmlc complains that
Access of undefined property, CModule.malloc,
Access of undefined property, CModule.writeBytes,
Access of undefined property, CModule.free
Definition com.adobe.flascc:CModule could not be found.
I found the CModule.abc in sdk/usr/lib folder, and I explored that it do have those functions. but how to import this .abc package into .swf ?
the follow command doesn't work:
"$(FLEX)/bin/mxmlc" -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries -library-path=mytest.swc -import CModule.abc -debug=false MainView.as -o test.swf

First, you should check out the new version at CrossBridge — CrossBridge
1.0.1 is quite old.
For your problem, you don't need to compile Cmodule.abc into your swf, it is already present into your SWC file. Here is the reason why your import is not working.
When you compile directly to SWF with crossbridge, the compiler put all the crossbridge stuff (CModule included) into the com.adobe.flascc namespace.
The problem is that, when you build a SWC, there is no garantee that your end application won't include multiple SWC compiled by crossbridge. To prevent namespace clashing, (having multiple Cmodule under the same namespace), all the stuff in the SWC is namespace with the namespace you gave after the -emit-swc command. In this particular case "-emit-swc=sample.mytest" your namespace is "sample.mytest".
So you need yo change the import from :
import com.adobe.flascc.CModule;
to
import sample.mytest.CModule;
and it should work.

Building SWCs
A SWC is the Flash Runtime equivalent of a shared library. You can link a SWC into a pure ActionScript project either with an IDE (Flash Builder, for example), or via the command-line ActionScript compiler (named mxmlc). A SWC contains the compiled ActionScript bytecode, along with an API catalog so that Flash Builder can perform code hinting while a developer writes ActionScript that uses the API exposed by a SWC.
When you generate a SWC you must specify an AS3 package name to contain the generated code, and the internal Crossbridge boilerplate code. This lets you link multiple Crossbridge-generated SWCs into one SWF without any function or class collisions. Anywhere you would have previously seen a name starting with com.adobe.flascc this namespace will be replaced with the string passed in the gcc/g++ -emit-swc=... argument.
-emit-swc=
Emits a SWC that can be linked into a Flash Builder project or distributed for others to link into their own projects. You must specify the namespace that you want to use to replace the default com.adobe.flascc namespace, this lets you link multiple Crossbridge-generated SWCs into a single project.

Can anyone tell me please how to put a border or frame around a swf / flv when it's imported into dreamweaver?
I have tried the same process you would use for an image but it doesn't work and sits underneath.

Hi Nitz
The first thing you must do is convert your layout from table based to css based, (tables are o/k for tabular data, but not layout) but if you have never used css for layout it may be a steep learning curve.
My recommendation is to start with the following tutorial on converting a table based comp to a css layout -

Once you have converted your site the 'procedure' for using swf's as a background, (does not work well with flv's, but can be done using html5 video without a skin, to a limited extent) is the same as having a background-image resize automatically to the full browser view-port. The best way to learn how to do this is to view the code on a page using the background-image technique, view the code on this page - http://www.pziecina.com/indexold.php.
However, instead of having a fluid layout I would recommend using a fixed layout size to start with, as this overcomes many problems. I have uploaded a basic test page to illustrate the idea to - http://www.pziecina.com/test_ideas/swfbg_test.html. As I said the page must be resized in this example in order to see the effect, (so do not forget to resize the browser, even if it is only by 1px), but if you use a fixed size layout and your swf's size fits the desired area correctly the resize should not be required.

Well thanks Ned, I do apologize for the shortness of the post, i was in a bit of a rush. I also assumed this would be easy to infer as its quite simple.
The flash animation can be seen here - http://www.blakecorp.com. it shows three blocks which move around a bit.
The user should be able to click on a block and this should lead to a url.
I have tried various geturl combos on various events all over the code and nothing works.
I am not a flash guru so apologies if I cant give you a design of this as I did not write it.
I think the problem is that the images etc are not buttons but I am struggling to find a way to make this work.
This is probably 10 minutes work for a flash programmer
Any help appreciated.

I've developed a web app with JDev3.1 , Oracle8i 8.1.6 on NTServer4.0.
and want to put it on Oracle Jserver 8.1.6:
The app works well within JDev3.1.
I depolyed my Business Components project and test well.
I would like to know how to put web app to Jserver. Is it possible?

when you say "web app" i am assuming you mean an applet, servlet or java server page(jsp) ??
if you mean this, then you need to move to the rdbms 8.1.7 environment for this support.
rdbms 8.1.7 supports servlets and jsp's in two different ways :
externally -- on the rdbms 8.1.7 platform
they can be run in an external apache front end included with the 8.1.7 rdbms.
internally -- inside the rdbms 8.1.7
they can be deployed internally to 8.1.7 in the "oracle servlet engine" (ose)
applets and html static pages still need to be deployed to a web server on the mid-tier OR the external apache front end included with the 8.1.7 rdbms to optimize performance.

Hello. I am developing the accounting application of Journal Entry module. I have developed 5 pages for a journal entry: Journal header, Journal Line, Journal total, Journal Error and Journal Approval. I want to put 5 pages together as a panel group in the same screen so that users are convenient to use them. The format is as follows:
Header | Lines | Total | Error | Approval
When a user click on Header or Lines or Total or Error or Approval, its related page is displayed below it on the screen. But I don't understand how to put "Header", "Lines", "Total", "Error" and "Approval" together as above format and link them to its related page. Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Thanks.

I am developing an accounting system using PeopleTools by myself.
Because you understand PeopleSoft financial application, please tell me the 2 questions as follows:
First, In Journal Line page, when select "edit Journal" and click button "process", the system check the Journal against Budget, if it's Ok, the System assign Journal ID for the Journal and put "valid" into the field of "Budget Status" and "Journal Status" in Total page. If it's not OK, the system send error message into Error page. Do you know how developer do that ?
Second, In Journal Line Page, when select "Submit Journal" and click button "process", the system send the Journal to Approval page for approval. Do you know how developer do that ?

You can use composition for this , where you can insert text frame for that specific photo where you want to add some description and for rest dont use text frame.

Goto Your GUI status.click on your MENU bar.
under the menu bar you will have your own menu items.
where ever you want separator line do the following way.
you will have 2 columns under menu bar
1) code
2) text.
under code dont put anything.
but under text column you put dashes and enter or select right click there and choose separator line.
you will get separator line.
activate and run the ztcode.you will get .
code text
