-Sign in on the icloud page with your apple id and open the agenda
-select an agenda and press the button to share it
-make the agenda public (share)
-click the email link and send the invitation to yourself
-open your mail and confirm the subscription
-ical will open and confirm there too.
-In the info window that opens you can select the auto-refresh interval.
-to get rid of the double events uncheck the original agenda and use the subscribed one.
-repeat these steps for all your agenda's in icloud.

how do i put icloud on my macbook pro and how to update to newer mac software

System Preferences>icloud and enter your account ID/password.
If you don't have "iCloud" in the preferences, then you need to update your mac to the current OSX.
You need  Lion 10.7.5 minimum, Mountain Lion preferred.
The iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mountain Lion, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space

  • HT204053 how to instal icloud on my mac - I still have Mobileme and Icloud does not appear

how can I replace MobileMe with ICloud on my IMac?

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:

Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price (though it's reported to have been removed from sale in some countries so may well cease to be available generally) but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
      and the supported models are:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

Can I put iCloud on my MAC, Version 10.6.8

No.  You must be running at least 10.7.5 to get some of the basic iCloud features. And you Mac must be able to run Lion:  System requirements for OS X Lion and Mac OS X v10.6 - Apple Support
This Apple document will describe the system requirements for iCloud's features: System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support

  • I cannot find icloud on my mac.  I have looked under system preferences  but it doesn't show up.

Where do I find icloud on my mac?  I have looked under system preferences but it isn't there.  I thought I had the latest software and my iphone has icloud on it.  Now do I get it on my mac so they will talk to each other.  Can't sync calendar.

I'm not running OSX Lion 10.7.2.  I guess that's not a free download?

Upgrade it to 10.7.2 or greater.
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99.
If you sign into the App Store and try to purchase Mountain Lion but the App Store says your computer is not compatible then you may still be able to upgrade to Lion per the following information.
    A. Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
         Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.
    B. Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • How to install iCloud on my Mac Pro.

I want to install iCloud on my Mac Pro. I updated the software as requested and opened systems preference but I cant seem to find the iCloud icon. How do I add my Mac Pro to my iCloud devices? Thank you in advance for your help...
    V

Open the Mac App Store and try purchasing Mountain Lion 10.8. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU with at least 2GB of RAM, and if it does, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
A Mac Pro(not MacBook Pro) with at least 2GB of RAM automatically meets the requirements for Lion.

  • How to I put icloud on my mac?

I still have the MobileMe icon in my system preferences...

You must install Lion 10.7.2 or later to get iCloud. To get Lion you must purchase and download from the Mac App Store - $30.00. I would also suggest reading the information at the end.

    Make Your Own Lion Installer
    1. After downloading Lion you must first save the Install Mac OS X Lion application. After Lion downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the Lion installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing Lion.
    2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    3. Locate the saved Lion installer in your Downloads folder. CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the installer and select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Double-click on the Contents folder to open it. Double-click on the SharedSupport folder. In this folder you will see a disc image named InstallESD.dmg.
    4. Plug in your freshly prepared USB flash drive. You are going to clone the InstallESD.dmg disc image to the flash drive as follows:
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the USB flash drive from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the USB flash drive volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Drag the InstallESD.dmg disc image file into the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
When the clone is completed you have a fully bootable Lion installer that  you can use without having to re-download Lion.

How do i have to put a ssd inside of my mac to make it run faster

Go to the OWC website which offers several SSD options, buy it and then look in your users manual for the installation instructions.  OWC also has videos showing how it is done which you might find useful.  You will need a 00 Phillips and a #6 Torx drivers to perform the installation.
    Ciao.

  • HT204053 How do I install install icloud on my MAC. I have an updated OSX but I do not have it.

How do I install icloud onto my iMac? My phone has it, but for some reason I do not have it installed on my Mac.

Im running 10.6.8, so i guess i cant use iCloud then, but can you (or anyone) please clarify these questions:
    1. Can i use MobileMe for sync in any way? - i still have the mobile-me-button in my system pref (see picture below) but i cant log in. BUT, i can log in at icloud.com with my old MobileMe-user.
    2. If the answer to question 1 is no, how can i sync iCal between my iPhone 4 (running iOS 6.0.1) and my mac? In iTunes, under "info" it says that my calendars will sync wireless using iCloud (wich is impossible seeing as my OS doesnt support iCloud?)

  • My wife's mac is syncing with mine. I just put ICloud on my mac

We have an IMAC, an IPAD 2, a MacBook Pro and two Iphones. Somehow my wife got all my calendar stuff from my MacbookPro on her Iphone. How do I check to see how she is signed in and syncing?

Relax everyone……..all the services of the iCloud and iTunes are currently down…….
The iCloud and iTunes services have been down today, Wednesday, June 20th, 2012, since 10:45 AM PST.....
You can check its status at :
    http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/
Just keep checking this link (above) until the services are listed as being properly restored and then all your problems should be solved.......
Apple is probably doing some work on both the iCloud and on iTunes as both are currently down..........it is probably because of the upgrading they are doing that has to be done for the soon to be released Mountain Lion OS......
Just a public service announcement from yours truly........
    Have a Good Day !!

  • How to ensure iCloud works between Mac, iPad

Things posted on my Mini Mac Calander are not transfering to my iPad.  What could be stopping it?
Up to last week it worked fine

The thing to check is whether new events are making it to the iCloud online calendar. If they aren't, you have a sync problem between your Mac and iCloud; if they are, you have a sync problem between your iPad and iCloud.
In the former case, the first step is to sign out in System Preferences>iCloud and then sign in again.(your data will disappear and you will be warned about this; but it will reappear when you sign back in, so don't save it or you will get duplicates).
Also make sure that new events are being added to iCloud calendars, not 'On My Mac' calendars, which don't sync to iCloud.
I don't have an iPad but if the problem is there you can presumably do the same thing.

  • How to acccess icloud photos on mac

I'm trying to figure out how to see/access all the photos taken on my i6, which are stored in the iCloud, on my MacBook Pro. Thanks

    Hi Evlwaze,
View your photos that you have taken from your iPhone can go one of two ways depending on the setup you have for your iPhone. The first is if you use iCloud Photo Library then the best way to view the photos is to be using the Photos app that is currently in beta if you are running the OS X 10.10.3. You can also view them at iCloud.com in the Photos web app as well. If you are just using the My Photo Stream option, then all you would need to use iPhoto and you will see an option to turn on My Photo Stream. If are still not seeing anything, let me know what settings you are using for your iPhone in Settings > Photos so I can give you some additional options to view those photos.
