how do i use the contacts part of my ipod (i do have the needed programs installed on my computer) Can some one please tell me or point me in the right direction of where to look for answers?!

I'm not sure what you mean by kiosk. However, to move an app, tap and hold the icon until it starts to wiggle then drag it to where you want it. Tap the Home button to stop the wiggling.

How to put all contacts in gmail

I am facing issues while emoving contacts to gmail, I can see my contacts backup in live.com but need that list in gmail as well. When I export contacts in csv then due to number pattern issues some of my contacts gets changed to exponential number or if they have a 0 at start then it get removed.
I want to put contacts list as it is of my phone to gmail.

Strange. I did the same but just the other way around. Took CSV file from my Windows Live and and put it to my Google account in order to be able to use them with my Android phone. Works OK.
I've never tried to transfer Google account contacts to Windows Live but maybe I should experiment with that as well in order to find out whether it's acting the way you described

Pedro's response is correct only if you're not currently syncing your contacts with iCloud or any other email account. In other words, this only works if your contacts only exist on your iPhone with no link to any external accounts already.
If you already have your contacts linked to iCloud, Yahoo, etc., and want to move them to Gmail, you would first turn off the Contacts setting in your iCloud (or Yahoo) account and elect to keep the contacts on the iPhone. Then set up the Gmail account and enable Contacts to sync the existing contacts on the iPhone to Google. You can also log into www.icloud.com on a computer and export your contacts as a file, then import that file from the computer to your Gmail account.
If you're syncing contacts to your iPhone from your computer through iTunes, Pedro's suggestion may work but remember to change your sync settings in iTunes once you port your contacts to Gmail.

Downloads from the iTunes or app store over 20Mb are limited to use only a wifi connection. So you cannot download them over a 3G connection but would have to wait until you have a wifi connection. This is supposedly at the behest of the cellular networks so as not to clog their bandwidth, but honestly, they should be able to handle it.

How do I force iTunes to put my contacts from the computer onto the phone? Multiple synchs and a restore did not work and neither does clicking the advanced setting "replace this information for this iPhone." Earlier this year I tried syncing via the cloud but only ended up with 3 different calendars, bookmarks and contacts on my devices so now I only sync via iTunes and USB.

i followed the instructions to manually manage songs and playlists.
Drag playlists from iTunes in the Source to the iPod.
If you want to delete a playlists from the iPod, in the Source in iTunes, click th eDisclosure triangle in front of the iPod name to display the playlists on the iPod.
You should edit the playlists in iTunes and then drag them to the iPod.
If you edit them only on the iPod in iTunes, and have to reload your iPod, the playlists will disappear.

open your address book get the picture you want to put on a particular contact and drag it to your desktop. On your contact page, click edit, drag the picture you want and drag it to the photo area and drop it (should be a green+) click set, click edit done. Hope this helps
