- You may have a 2G iPod and that iPod can only go to iOS 4.2.1 and you need iOS 5 for iCloud. If yur 8 GB ipod does not have a camera it is a 2G.

If You only need
• Play movie in full
• Start into the movie at specific places e.g. Chapters - then play to movie ends
Then this is fairly simple - Just add Chapters in Your Video-editor (iMovie or FinalCut)
(some quirks to keep in mind - No Chapter mark in any transition or within 2 sec from it - AND - only Lettera A to Z and 0 to 9 - no other letters/symbols at all)
BUT
If You want to
• Play full movie (with or without Chapters)
• Play an individual Chapter then return to Menu
This function is not standard in iDVD - but has to be faked one way or another.
Please read my notes on this and be aware of the 60 minutes / 12 minutes limit in iDVD (THIS is including the Menu and it can take 15 minutes or more from the movie time)

1. There are NO - Play All - button in any version of iDVD
2. It can be faked in several ways
• Easiest and most fault proof way is to make a doublet movie containing All and with
Chapters set to match. It will take up x2 space but is easy to understand and produce.
Cons: Tried this in iMovie’11 by Exporting out each part as a full Quality QT.mov then Importing back into new events and putting these into a new project (Play All project). Resulting DVD had Audio that was OK (as parts) - BUT the picture was very bad and standing photo were cut of in hight. So the Play All movie has to be created from same material and exactly in the same way as the individual parts + then Chapters has to be set to match.
• It's said that one can put all movies into a Photo/SlideShow and this will also
give the function of a Play All button - Tested - and ONE HAS TO un-cheque - Scale pictures to TV-Safe area else it will be a black frame all around and a small picture !
Cons: BUT - When tested with music videos - the same video on main Menu played nicely with OK Audio. The Play All version in SlideShow had a signifcant Distortion - as on telephone or worse.

You might be able to get close to what you want by using a slideshow in iDVD. (It's not widely known, but you can put videos in a slideshow.) If you set the slide duration to manual, playback will pause after each movie/slide, and you can continue with the 'next' button.
3. Using another program to do this e.g.. Roxio Toast™ where there is a Play All button option.
Summary
a. Making a Play All movie with same care as the individual Part movies - gives a very Good Result
b. Using Roxio Toast™ - also an usable way to go

Ok, look at your files in Photoshop. What is the profile assigned to them? You can find this out by going to the Status bar at the bottom, clicking on the right-pointing triangle and choosing document Profile from the list.
Then in Windows, go to your Control Panel > Color Management and add sRGB (if it isn't there) and select it as your default profile.

I have connected my time capsule to motorola SG6580 modem via ethernet. I have a wireless network on the motorola and a wireless network from the time capsule. I get duplicate IPs error messages (no connection) sometimes when trying to connect devices to the wireless network. How do I fix? Sometimes devices cannot connect to the network because of conflicting IPs. I look on the Motorola and every device has a unique IP assigned but occasionally a device has taken the IP of another device. I have been writing down all the devices and the IPs they have been using. It happens more with PCs than Macs, ipads or iPhones.
If the Time Capsule is set up correctly in bridge mode, then it is the responsibility of the Motorola modem/router to provide the correct IP address assignments for all devices on the network.
Check to insure that the Time Capsule is correctly set up to operate in bridge mode as follows:
On your Mac, open AirPort Utility
Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Network tab at the top of the next window
Insure that the setting for Router Mode is configured to read "Off (Bridge Mode)"
Once you have confirmed that the Time Capsule is configured correctly, everything else is the responsibility of the Motorola modem/router as far as network routing and IP address assignments for devices.
If you continue to have IP address issues, then you should contact the Internet Service Provider (ISP) that provided the Motorola device to you and ask them to fix the issue. -

My Compaq's 38gb disk C is full, rendering my itunes library unworkable. I'd really like to know how to wipe my computer clean of itunes and all related files. Then I hope to reinstall itunes and import my songs from my external hard drive to disk D with 77gb of available storage.

Maybe I should step back and say that I was in the process of importing my whole library from a 2003 Powerbook G4 via an external hard drive when my Compaq's disk C filled up. Then I started uninstalling programs from disk C and adding more itunes files. Now my itunes library is a real mess with parts of albums in different áreas, and compilation albums transferred as individual songs... Even after all that, over half my songs still need to be imported into itunes. Since I'm a real novice at all this, I'm wondering if a frest start might be the easiest way to clean this mess up. -

Connect your iPod touch to your computer, then click on your iPod in the sidebar of iTunes.
You'll see two buttons below the picture of your iPod: "Update" (or "Check for Update") and "Restore." iTunes might even tell you without you having to ask that a new version of iOS is available. Click "Update" or do whatever in the dialog box, and you should be good to go.
This is, of course, assuming that your iPod is compatible with iOS 5. -

please help me@Op. Your classes CallThread, CallOne and CallTwo aren't sharing an instance. CallThread starts a thread. CallOne creates a MyThread instance, and calls stopThread on that one. That is not the same instance as the thread created by CallThread. The same applies to CallTwo.

How to put a file lock on the contents of a folder and sub folders?
Initally I recursively went through the children of the folder and created a file lock for each child, however after abour 2025 locks i recieved a Too many open files exception.
Is it possible to lock a folder such that the contents of the folder cannot be changed? and would that stop the Too many open files Exception?Hmm.... I would have thought that this was a reasonably common problem. If no-one here can help directly, can someone point me to a forum or similar which may be able to help me?
