How to put jpeg image under text

Hello, newbie here to FCE. I am editing a show and want to add my church's color logo under the lower third text I already have in the timeline. I can't figure out how to do it. If it is at all possible could someone please help. It would make my edited show look very professional. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Willard.
You did not mention footage on V1 in your original question.
I thought you just wanted the jpeg with the text superimposed. For that you would simply put the jpeg on V1 and the text on V2 and it should play immediately.
However, now you mention some other footage which brings in a whole new dimension.
Originally I assumed the jpeg was intended to cover the whole frame but now it sounds as though it is just a small emblem.
Try to describe exactly what you are doing and what it should look like.
In the meantime just play with the logo and title on the tracks I mentioned and you will see how it works (without the other footage for the time being).
Ian.

Please tell how to store jpeg images in SQL Server using NI Database Connectivity Toolset.

    http://www.w3schools.com/sql/sql_datatypes.asp
You setup a field as BLOB and store the binary of the picture there. Depending on the database it can be called differently as you can see in the link, in SQL server there's even a Image datatype.

    Hi
Convert the jpeg into bmp or bitmap...as from se78 jpeg cannot be uploaded. To convert, all you have to do is open the jpeg picture using paint brush and then save it as bmp. When you click save as in paint brush, it will open a window..in that in "Files of Type" select bitmap image and upload it.
In smartform, create a graphic window and give this image name.

As Walt says - you need to use CSS to declare the background
    for the
    cell..maybe this will help:

  • How do I make images of text searchable on a Mac?

I am downloading a lot of PDFs from the New York Times archives (c. 1855) for some historical research I'm doing.
I assume the Times has OCR'd their images of these old articles because the text is word-searchable online.
Here are my questions, in descending order of the elation they might evoke. (BTW, I'm on a Mac, running Leopard.)
    1. Is the OCR text somehow embedded in the downloaded PDFs and how would I discover and retrieve it, using Acrobat Pro 9?
    2. Would it be worth trying Acrobat's built-in OCR tools to make these images word-searchable? (Mid-19th century Times type is pretty wavy and clunky.)
    3. Given that Macs can now word-search closed documents' body text, can I at least put key words in text box notes or stickies on these PDFs, to help me find important passages? (I've tried both text boxes and stickies but neither worked.)
    Thanks.

For #1 — A PDF supports three OCR outputs. Searchable Image, Searchabel Image (Exact), or ClearScan. If an OCR output is with the NYT's PDFs I'd guess they are the first or the second. Either leaves a "layer" of hidden text.
To retrieve the hidden text you could use Acrobat's File > Export. Choose the output from the choices available.
For #2 — Sure, why not? Using a copy of a PDF give Searchable Image (Exact) a try.
For #3 — You could use Acrobat Pro's Commenting tools. For a "commented" PDF you can use the Comments List for viewing/sorting.
    Be well...

  • How to put the part of text behind someone a shape or a shape?

I was thinking about something since I've gotten into magazines recently and the design of them. I was wondering how do they put part of the text behind a person on a magazine cover? Or like have have the text look like it's going around a person(like with some parts behind some parts in front of person like a ring of text around a person or a letter "O" encircling someone? I know how to achieve this in photoshop (in a probably non-standard way) but I have no clue how you would achive this in Indesign. I've attached some examples of what I'm talking about.

How are your Photoshop skills? Because you’ll need to them to silhouette the model. I’d probably just add the magazine title there, too.
I guess I've always sort of wondered about this...you can do it in Photoshop, sure. But...should you?
I mean, in Photoshop you split your image into two layers, a foreground layer and a background layer (via whatever mechanisms you like. Magic Wand tool, etc., etc.). And then you add a 3rd layer for the text inbetween those layers.
But if your cover is normally layed out in InDesign, you've got the text in InDesign already. And what if the text is more complicated than just a plain old title.
Do you split your Photoshop file into two seperate files (with transparency) and place them on seperate InDesign layers with the text on an ID layer inbetween?
That seems a bit awkward. Is there a neater solution?
(I suppose what I would really want would be the ability to have ID insert a layer of ID objects inbetween the two layers of the Photoshop file, and we know that's not possible....)
I suppose another approach is to keep 2 layers in the Photoshop file and place the image twice, on top of itself, with different layer visibility options in each one. I'm not sure if this is a Clever Idea or a Stupid Trick That Hurts.
    I dunno!

  • How do I save image and text as a single image in InDesign CS5.0?

How do I save an image and text as one image in InDesign CS5.0? NOT 5.5.
I need to save the image as a 72-dpi, jpg file for ePub purposes. I designed a book and am handing it off to someone for ePub.
    This is what I've tried:
    1) Copied from InDesign, pasted into a PhotoShop doc as a Smart Object. Saved it as 72 dpi jpg, then imported back into ID.
    2) Took a screenshot of ID page, placed it in PS, saved as 72 dpi, imported into ID
    3) Saved page as a PDF from InDesign, then saved PDF as 72 dpi jpg, then imported into ID.
    4) Save page as a PDF from InDesign, placed into Photoshop and saved
as 72 dpi, then imported into ID.
    5) Saved as an EPS from InDesign, placed in PS, then imported back to ID.
In all cases, the type looks terrible. It doesn't seem to matter whether I copy or place into Photoshop, though placing is slightly better.
    HELP!!!

In all cases, the type looks terrible. It doesn't seem to matter whether I copy or place into Photoshop, though placing is slightly better.
Naturally what you did will result in rasterized text. Did you preview with high quality settings?
Are you sure the people who will handle that downstream need pixel images and do you have the exact pixel dimensions needed?
Why did you place the image back in Indesign, by the way?

  • How to put an image in a data grid in Flex Builder 2

    Hi All,
I need to populate a data grid with some text data received
from a web service and, in a particular column of the datagrid, I
have to put an image depending of a specific data returned me by
    the web service.
It seems that there is the possibility to add an image in
data grid column with the cellRenderer properties, but this
property is available only for ActionScript 3.
I'm developing an application in Flex Builder 2 that run
ActionScript 2 and cellRenderer properties is not available. Is it

If no, I will can use this cellRenderer properties in my

If yes, there is a way to insert an image in datagridcolumn

    Thank you very much

Flex Builder 2 uses Actionscript 3.
You will need to write a renderer for for this column.
There are a lot of examples of datagrids with images in them.

  • How to put an image in the popup help of a page item?

I am using APEX 2.2. I want to put an image in the help text of a page input item.
    This is the help text:

If I put exactly the same text in a html region, the image is correctly displayed:

I solved it by putting the jpg file in an images directory on the web server instead of in the database. Not really what I want, but it works.
